Well, Lorelai didn't get Rory exactly either, but thought she's against the marriage per se. Next to this, Chris was just happy that he and Lorelai are married and happy people, people who're in love tend to see things through the famous pink glasses.

I'm not saying that Chris shouldn't learn to read his girls faces better, but being able to read "propperly" in someones face means that you spend enough time with him to know the whole repertoire of facial expressions (and even then you might not get it ETA: Like Lorelai ^^). And for that he never spend enough time with Rory, especially in her childhood.

But Lorelai is not "in love". She only thinks she is.....

And since when is Lorelai "his" girl ??? Oh yeah, right. He owns her, thats why she´s not allowed anymore to
have a mind of her own.....she´s the new Katie Holmes......

i really feel sorry for her. poor woman. but again, she married him, so it's her own fault if she's gonna regret it later. she could say no. i have to admit chris is not the only one to blame for this "marriage", i blame lorelai too. he asked she accepted it.

She didn't speak up in her relationship with Luke so why should we expect anything different now. This time it's even worse because she is stuck with Chris now and lets herself talk into even more stupid things. Life as she knows it will be over

She's married now. Things are going to change and little hubby is going to make sure about it

This is why I half hope it is not legal, they have to do the vows 'cause Emily has told all her important friends so they need to do it, Lorelai backs out. Maybe then Lorelai decides to stay with Chris to work things out?

Ele, as I read your candid post about your reason's for liking Chris, I felt similarly to how genki responded right after - I may not agree with it all, but I respect your views. I enjoyed reading it.

Jason, I agree she does need to leave the CS. I'm just saying it is always and forever Rory & Lorelai's house, no one else's.

I'm voting for 5, cause 'Stache & Pearls...yo! How can I not? But I really love 1, and feel some love from you in just it being there, since I posted about the symbiotic nature of the show yesterday. Keep 1 in your side pocket.

lemon, I find yours and Jason's posts about the CS complementaries. That house "is always and forever Rory & Lorelai's house, no one else's", thus "until she moves out of that house, [Lorelai] will never truly be ready to start the next phase of her life". Even Luke only really lived there during the rift. Once Rory came back, he left.

So, here's a spec...

Maybe Lorelei is into getting a new house with Chris after the run ins with Luke.
If he reacts harshly to seeing LC together in tonight's eppy and then there is a fight with Chris, maybe Lorelei thinks the only solution is to leave Stars Hollow.
As they said in "Written in the Stars," someone would have to leave.
Luke had said that it would be him, but maybe Lorelei thinks she should....

I am getting excited for the end of this
ridiculous storyline/bogus marriage/fake love story/forced down our throats plot/killing off of characters/neverending bull----.....

I am so SMAD.

all those eps people were mentioning forgiveness and stuff, bracebridge dinner compared to now or even yesterdays avv - its very painful to watch, the earlier slutty lorelai compared to the now demented wifey lorelia and last years stepford lorelia she now is like controlled by chris which is even worse - watch the ep in the first season she has to drive rory to chilton for the first time, and then goes to luke gets changed and then goes to work - totally different lorelai than tonight or even last week
