I doubt either kid is going to be a major issue with Rory's room

Gigi - When C&L split she will be gone, so we might get some of her in the room for xMas in ep 11-12 maybe 13 but that's it, unless C&L get back together

April - IMO Anna will get custody but Luke will have her for some holidays and stuff, so April will only be they for short stay, probably no bug changes to the room and we may never see this on screen unless we get S8.

Great post WhiteChocMocha. I concur completely. Bring back Luke. Luke and the Diner. Luke, the Diner and Stars Hollow. But more importantly, Luke, the Diner, Stars Hollow AND Lorelai all on one screen. Otherwise, change the name of the show to One Gilmore Hill and forget about it.

Without Luke, the show still is GILMORE GIRLS.

Well, see, my problem is IMO it's no more Luke's house than it is Chris's. Emily was right, they needed a bigger place, both men come with extended family now. The only reason Luke was willing to be there was Lorelai didn't want to leave, which seems to be the same reason Chris is willing to live there.

The Crap Shack belongs to 2 people, their names are both Lorelai. It's Lorelai and RORY's home. The place Lorelai worked hard to be able to provide for the two of them. Anyone besides them moving in there, IMO, is an interloper. Because symbolically it's theirs. The place of safety Lorelai was finally able to provide for them years after running away from Hartford.

To me all of them, April, Gigi, Chris & Luke are all interlopers and outsiders @ the Crap Shack. Because it belongs to Rory & Lorelai. No one else.

If doing renovations makes a house partially mine, then I guess DH and I own a part of my parents' home. I wonder what my parents will think about this when I tell them. All the money and time we put into it, I should really demand that I get my part of that house.

Only by title. If we go by that logic, let's just get rid of all the supporting cast and sets and even the town. Let's just have Lorelai and Rory talk to the camera.

Wow talk about condescending... What does my being a new mom have to do with my not thinking luke needs therapy. Luke's therapy is April. He's already learning to share his life... This whole sl for him is his version of therapy? He has issues but he's learning to deal with them...Frankly , I take back my therapy comment. No one needs it. Its a big pile of crock invented for people that don't want to communicate with thier families and friends...and who are looking for excuses so as to avoid their issues. I believe Luke is finally dealing with his stuff...as for Lorelai...she's in avoidance land. She thinks Chris will make her happy but Chris nor Luke were ever the source of her unhappiness...it was her unwillingness to see love in herself. and no man can give her that...no Chris, not Luke....no one.

but investing money in said house means the person who gave it owes you that cash back...hey maybe luke should use the same lawyer to sue....lorelai for the money she owes him
