My spec.

The diner's front area (seating area) is in shambles... the back and upstairs are fine.

7.02 will find a tarp over the front with Tom's crew dilligently working... whether Luke is upstairs or not.

I bet 7.02 will start with Lorelai going to talk to Luke again, or even passing the diner and Luke not being there... but I want him to find out in TLM

It doesn't only have 23. That's just where our information ends. Scripts are close to 80 pages and we've only got up to page 61. I just end the summary after the information we have.

That's be truly cruel... not like DESTROYING his diner, HIS FATHER's STORE, his HOME isn't cruel enough but I have decided that they are trying to slowly kill Luke... he's going to go schizo and jump off of something... maybe he'll ask Logan about some good places first.

Episode Timing

No one has mentioned it - but if Rory and Paris are at the YDN, then it is probable that we are close to the end of summer just before or right at the start of the school term.

It doesn't seem likely that Rory and Paris would haunt the YDN over the summer. So, Epsiode 7.01 starting in late August looks likely.

Jet..thank you for trying to bring some calm in here. We only have a few sides...with little else to go on. Lancer mentioned symbols...my neighbor had a car crash into his house...they fixed it...yes it was destruction...but it was repairable...maybe this is what DR is trying to say

Before I get to the sides. A few other responses come first.

1) ASP did not write in a black and write style. The DVD commentary from YJIJJ reveals as much. You cannot blame ASP for fans seeing the show in black and white, on a very surface level, and ignoring all the layers. It's not on her. It's on us.

2) Rory being the bridge has nothing to do with what went down with Emily and Richard. Rory had the same problems with Emily and Richard, that Lorelai had with her parents. Even if it's on a smaller scale. Senior and Junior both balk at Emily's controlling ways. As Sandlynn pointed out. It's not about socioeconimic status or anything else, but about the way Emily can be overly controlling. Lorelais' are not down with being boxed in. Emily thought Rory, by being more receptive to her world, would be more receptive to her style of parenting. This led to the moment when Emily refered to Rory as Lorelai.

3) Why did Lorelai act funny towards her parents after FNAFF? Because she likes having her TOWN, and does not want them invading her space. Essentially, Lorelai, needs a buffer. She loves her parents, but needs a place away from them. While it would be totally killer. If Stache and Pearls moved to the Hollow. Lorelai has a hard time letting go of her need for space from her parents. Which explains her behaviour towards her parents as they walked around the Hollow.

4) If LG, the woman who has talked to ASP more than anyone of us, honestly feels that ASP had Luke and Lorelai ending up together. Why exactly, would the HEIR APPARENT OF ASP AND DP'S COLLECTIVE JOB, change the story? Oh, he might want to do something diffrent, but he was not hired to do something different. He was hired to pick up where ASP and DP left off. Since ASP and DP told Ausiello, that the ROSE would be running the show this year anyway. Even if they were overseeing the show and giving him story ideas.

You are not given a show with a rich history such as this without somehow agreeing to not SCREW IT UP by eliminating a storyline that was introduced in the PILOT. There might be a new guy, but he was hired by the previous gal and guy, to carry on the show's rich history. Instead of redoing everything for his own personal ****s and giggles.

That aside onto SIDES! Anyone believe that ASP would have destroyed Luke's diner (This does go along with that set report from LorelaiandLuke4Ever, if I remember the nick correctly. Who stated that the diner was in a state of disarray on her tour.)? Anyone else think ASP would have wrecked more havoc onto Luke's life? This whole business with the Thunderbird (Does anyone else hope, that we get to see the Thunderbird drive through the diner?) in the diner represents the most contrieved bit of business in the history of Gilmore Girls. Since it's A HUGE PLOT DEVICE that forces Luke to make a decision about Lorelai. I love his response to the tow truck driver and disappointed fans as well. He needs his time; DEAL.

Nevertheless, the end of 7X01, forces Luke to drop his loner ways, and finally move in with Lorelai. This leaves me with a sense of dread because we might see LL together but the Chris news a secret. If so, balls.

About Paris, Rory: paris is doing a prep thing for kids, so that could be during the summer, and since Rory can probably get into the YDN, why not there... I dunno, but I don't think that has anything to do with the TL

There is a chance that they have decided to stick around over the summer, Yale does have a summer session. And at least MY school newspaper does print over the summer with students who are in summer session.

I think, from how Luke is acting about the whole making a decision thing, that it is the next day or at least before he talks to Lorelai about what happened.

Universities are a lot busier in the summers than they used to be. Many more students taking classes and activities are still going on. I used to work at a university and I would take courses all throughout the summer.

As for Taylor's car, maybe he tried to run down a troubadour and ended up going through the front of Luke's. Or, that police officer who didn't have a car to cart people away borrowed Taylor's.

If that is the case then I hope the first 10 pages (before Paris) are the same time as the end of season 6 and Lorelai tells Luke, he can't go the summer broken up from Lorelai and not know the reason.

ETA - But on the sides it have DAY 1 for the Paris and the tow truck scene. So would they just skip the final scene? While I like the idea of not having to see that scene again in season 7 or Chris in boxers. I would hate for them to skip such an important part to the story.

The titles seems to imply all one day.... plus, Luke still being mad about the ultimatum shows not much time has passed.

Wouldn't Rory be in summer school? She dropped out last year and lost out on I'm guessing 12-16 credits--she couldn't have made it all up in the spring semester--unless DR is adopting AS-P's penchant for facts and timelines.

well, that's why she's staying in the apartment and didn't go with Logan...

This all seems like the next day... I bet the first few scene would be CL, Rory, and Maybe luke Looking for Lorelai...
