I’d like to remind you all that this is the main Gilmore Girls spoiler thread, and as such, posters from various shipper groups are free to post here, so if you see someone saying something that you don’t like about “your” favorite character or couple, don’t start fighting with them on this thread, and don’t go into a Gilmore Girls shipper thread if you don’t like the couple that the shipper thread is for. People are free to criticize upcoming events on Gilmore Girls as they read the upcoming spoilers, but don’t use this thread as a free-for-all to bash any characters or couples that you don’t like, or their fans, or you’ll find that you’ll be deprived of the privilege of reading and speculating about Gilmore Girls spoilers again here. In the recent history of Stars Hollow, pink and blue ribbons stood for two characters. Nothing to do with the real-life actors, who may or may not share the sentiment for all we know. But this is a board about TV not realpolitics, is it not?

And yeah, I'm probably a prime purple ribbon offender.

My signature has two parts - the LL stuff, and also a quote from the show about American freedoms. Should I scan in my red-white-and-blue lapel ribbon? I've got one. Like many New Yorkers, it dates back to 9/11/2001, so many of us wore them in the months that followed. I still have mine, pull it out each year on the date, it's a never forget kind of thing.

I'll stick with the purple ribbon when I'm at Fanforum. I think I prefer to keep TV fantasy well separate from real-world reality.

LOL, how dare the P's taint the true meaning of ribbon wearing. After all, I doubt very much Tony Orlando and Dawn had Luke and Lorelai in mind when they sang that little ditty that started it all!
