4.17 Girls in Bikinis, Boys Doin' the Twist

College Spring Break - Fun, Craziness and Flirting

Rory and Paris go somewhere warm for spring break, possibly Florida and stay at the Sea Sprite Hotel. Janet and Glenn are there also. No sign of Marty or Tanna. A lot of crazy parties and spring break games, including one Paris enters a banana eating contest, but she doesn’t understand that it’s an erotic banana eating contest. Madeline and Louise are there too at a club with Paris and Rory. Madeline and Louise are trying to get drinks at a bar even though they are underage. The Shins are playing at the club (they will appear on the show). At the club, they all get stamped with the blue "underage" stamp. Madeline and Louise wipe off their stamps, lick some older guy's hand and transfer the "drinking" stamp to their hands. Madeline asks if Paris and Rory want something to drink, but Rory says, "Maybe later."

Rory and a guy named Sean keep running into each other, and they flirt tentatively and smile at each other. Paris kisses Rory and asks her if she(Paris) is a good kisser. Of course, Rory is totally "put off" by Paris's questions and actions and tells Paris she's not her type. Paris says that she cannot ask a guy if she is a good kisser, because that would mean that she has low self-esteem. Sean makes a funny comment about Paris being Rory's girlfriend and them being lesbians. Rory runs away from him.

There is a ton of "spring break" hijinks going on. 2 guys sleeping...Rory wondering if they're alive...Glenn running around eating sandwiches and hot dogs...Glenn complimenting Janet on her bathing suit...

There is one part that has Paris and Rory in their hotel room watching TV. Rory brings her school backpack to the hotel, a move that Paris mocks.

Jason and Lorelai go to the movies but Jason seems distracted. Lorelai makes a funny comment about great it is to finally see Michael Caine in a movie. She explains that it's funny because he is in every movie. There’s also a brief scene with Lorelai and Digger returning to her house from a movie date and Digger is distracted and says he did something wrong and Lorelai asks what did he do. Lorelai says that she even wore some cute but uncomfortable shoes just for him.

4.16 - The Reigning Lorelai
Airs 3.02.2004
Written by Jane Espenson

Trix is dead. It's unclear if she actually dies in this episode or not, but the funeral is held possibly all offscreen. Lorelai helps Emily to go through Trix's house and all of her belongings and documents. The Gilmores have the post-funeral gathering at their house. Jason is there and he apparently went to the funeral. Emily seems concerned about Richard. There is some joking about the reverend and his inablity to remember anything.

Rory is somewhat flirty with some cute guy at the gathering. Lorelai whispers something to her and Rory hurries away from the guy.

Marion Ross is in the actual episode. We meet Trix's niece, Marilyn.

The monument is Trix's headstone. It needs to be fixed because she had it precarved. It says 1918-19 with the last two numbers left blank to be filled in later. She assumed her death would take place in the 20th century. Since she obviously hasn’t died yet, she needs to have it re-carved as 2_ _ _, with the last three numbers to be carved in later. Lorelai is a little freaked because the headstone has her name on it. Monument Guy says it's a special marble from Italy, recarving risks damaging it and it's expensive.

While Lorelai at the monument store a minister calls her cell phone. She recieves two calls from him.

Luke is having a very loud argument with someone upstairs in the apartment above the diner. It's not Lorelai.

Scene in a Mall
Airs 2.24.2004

CHRISTINE -Lane's cousin. Korean, 15-18 to play 15. Christine is a younger version of Lane Kim (played by Keiko Agena). She is bubbly, energetic, and very into pop culture and music- like Lane, she must hide her personality from her strict Korean mother...CO-STAR, possible GUEST STAR.

Aunt Jun and Mrs. Kim are going to stay in the kitchen while Christine helps Lane pack. She's officially moving out. Mrs. Kim tells her to write down how many boxes and how much tape she uses so she can take inventory. It doesn't say where Lane's going to live. In the presence of Aunt Jun and Mrs. Kim, Christine is quiet. In Lane's room she won't shut up. She says, "No female Kim has ever moved out without getting married." She loves the floorboards and wonders if she could do the same thing at her house. It's only one scene so we don't know what happens in the rest of the episode but here Lane pretty much ignores her.

Mrs. Kim's sister, Jun, is very serious and stoic. Lane's room is exactly as she left it, untouched by Mrs. Kim. Christine rambles off questions about why Lane's moving out, which Lane ignores even as Christine starts talking about Led Zeppelin and other bands. Lane is angry and forcefully says that she's not Yoda and she can't offer the girl any guidance about anything. The end of the page says, "Lane carries the last of her boxes downstairs."

After the scene when Christine watches Lane pack, Lane goes downstairs. She and her mother have a very cold and formal "good-bye" with no words spoken before Lane leaves the house.

Theresa is Lindsey's mother.

Rory and Dean are doing some kind of construction. Probably at the Dragonfly because Dean mentions Tom being there, and he's the construction guy there. Dean tells Rory to hammer the banister. She does and he says that she's a natural and she says that she must have been a carpenter in another lifetime. Lindsey and her mother enter, with Lindsey carrying a picnic basket. Lindsey seems pleasant with Rory. Dean and Lindsey give each other a kiss. Theresa comments that they have a lot of errands to do. Lindsey and Theresa comment how they have found a new dry cleaner. Lindsey says that she is "really into the environment." Rory says that she is too. The ladies set up the picnic lunch and Rory comments that it's early for lunch. Theresa says, "Deany's up at five." Rory teases Dean, "Deany?". Lindsey tells Rory that she is learning to cook, and she asks her if Rory knows how to cook. Theresa makes a statement about teaching kids to cook when they are little. Rory interprets this to mean that Lindesy is pregnant but Dean shakes his head "no."

Lorelai comes in. For some reason, she is wearing a red rose pinned to her. She spots Rory but pretends that she doesn't. She goes up to a 40 year old guy with a beard and beer gut and jokes, "Whoa, you've really let yourself go." Then, "You're never going to attract a man looking like that." Rory sees her and they go to each other. Lorelai comments that Rory is also wearing a red rose.

Lorelai and Rory go to the mall. They are very excited when they first start shopping but then the excitement wanes.

The next few scenes have Emily with Rory and Lorelai at the department stores. There is no explanation but Emily is shopping like a mad woman, utilizing her personal salesperson, Lisa, to buy lots and lots of clothes and accessories for Richard. Rory and Lorelai are both confused at her frentic pace and can barely keep up with her. Lorelai keeps trying to get her mom to slow down. Later, Emily buys Lorelai some cocktail dresses and two evening gowns and she forces Lorelai to take a diamond watch. Emily is charging everything like there is no tomorrow.

Kirk's in the teaser at the diner. Luke and Lorelai are both in the scene but it's impossible to understand the premise. Luke is angry at Kirk for using the phone.

The Incredible Sinking Lorelais TV-PG, D, S
DEAN COMFORTS RORY, LUKE COMFORTS LORELAI, RICHARD BLOWS UP AT HIS MOTHER –— Although she is completely exhausted by her heavy workload at Yale, Rory (Alexis Bledel) is still horrified when a professor suggests she drop a class, and she confesses her self-doubt to her former boyfriend Dean (Jared Padalecki), who is working in the construction crew at the Dragonfly Inn. Meanwhile, frustrated because she can never get Rory on the phone and by the nonstop work involved in getting the Dragonfly ready to open, Lorelai (Lauren Graham) first accuses Sookie (Melissa McCarthy) of not pulling her weight, then turns to Luke (Scott Patterson) for help and advice. Finally, Richard (Edward Herrmann) is infuriated when he and Lorelai both get a taste of the nastiness that Gran (guest-star Marion Ross) usually reserves for Emily (Kelly Bishop).

Kleebold - Janet's enormous boyfriend. Paris hates him and she even tells him that he has "a fat ass." Janet and Paris are fighting about him. Lane, who was staying at the dorms, watches the fight. At the end of the scene., Paris makes a comment about Janet saying "Either she goes or I go." Before that, Janet makes fun of Paris by saying, "You have another hot study date at the library?"

Delia- she is showing Lorelai and Sookie two horses for the inn. Of course, Lorelai loves them and wants to buy them. Lorelai calls Rory and leaves a message about buying the horses. Lorelai tells Rory that they have to be the first ones to ride the horses. Michel doesn't want to see the horses, claiming that he "does not care for Animal Kingdom."

Customer - at Luke's Diner. Lane is back and she asks Luke for her job back. She apologizes for leaving him so suddenly. He agrees. She makes the statement that she is not living at Yale anymore. After she leaves, Luke is super grumpy about the customers and their eating habits. Lorelai tries to get him to stop ranting.

Professor Gilbert - Rory goes to see him about a paper that she wrote for his class. Not sure if the professor is male or female. Before she goes there, she leaves a telephone message for Lorelai. She says that she actually wants to talk to her in person. Before Rory goes to see Professor Gilbert, Rory calls Lorelai to tell her a message.. telling her she wants to talk to her in person and she tells Lorelai she has a meeting with the professor and says the professor will probably tell her she did a great job and hand her the 'A' paper. Anyways, the professor criticizes her paper by saying that she did research for another class and then used that research for that paper. "Rory looks embarrassed." The professor says that Rory has overloaded herself with her classes. Rory tries to just say that she's fine, but the professor tells her to drop the class. She says something about how Paris is taking the same number of classes. The professor says that Rory shouldn't compare herself to others. "You work at a slower pace." Rory is absolutely stunned, but the professor says again to drop the course.

Leanne - Lorelai's hair stylist. Lorelai is having her hair done, and her cell rings. Leanne says to wait, but Lorelai wants to answer it in case it's Rory. She makes this statement: "It could be my daughter. We've been missing each other for days."

Lane's packing her stuff at Yale, and Rory looks sad about this.

After Luke tells Lane that she can still work for him, he says that her shift will be tomorrow. She starts to leave and Lorelai says, "Just make sure that your mom knows." Lane responds with, "Okay, I will. See you at home."

4.13 - Nag Hammadi Is Where They Found the Gnostic Gospel
Written by Amy Sherman-Palladino
Airs 2.10.2004

Richard and Emily are going to some sort of charity event and all their guests crapped out on them and they are desperately trying to find people to come so their table doesn't look empty. They make Richard and Jason's secretaries come, and Emily tells Lorelai to bring someone. She brings Rory and Emily says it's because Lorelai couldn't find a date.

Jason goes to sit next to Rory, but Emily wants Lorelai and Jason to pretend to be together (so obviously Lorelai hasn't told her yet), because she thinks it will look better, so he sits next to Lorelai. Lorelai and Jason find this amusing and they hold hands. They have cute dialogue wondering how far they can go with their "pretending": dancing, a walk outside, making out in the closet. Mr. Smalls is the guest speaker, no one gets his jokes.

Then there is one snippet of conversation in which Richard says, "I have been doing this a lot longer than you have, my boy. If a man like Floyd Stiles does not ask about the business, then you know something very big is coming." Jason apologizes to Lorelai for having to leave, Emily says it's ok because no one would ever believe him and Lorelai as a couple anyway, and then Jason and Richard leave, presumably to go meet with Jason's dad.

Liz (played by Kathleen Wilhoite) is annoying Luke. She wants to sell turquoise earrings in his diner. She's there with girl friends from high school, including Carrie. The friends flirt with Luke commenting that they all had crushes on "Butch" Danes, and invite him to a Journey or Styx concert. The ladies are in town for their 20 year high school reunion. Luke cracks that after 20 years none of them are married, but Carrie says they are. So it's likely that Jess and Liz's simultaneous returns are coincidental. Liz is 38 or so, so she probably had Jess when she was around 19.

The town is having a Firelight Festival, only this time Taylor left Kirk in charge of planning it, and he's going nuts in a Kirk-ish way trying to make everything perfect.

This is when Liz's loser boyfriend shows up. His name is T.J. and he's selling Liz's earrings at the festival and handing out punch to the crowd. At one point he puts Liz's scarf around her shoulders and Luke looks annoyed by him.

In a conversation between Jess and Rory he tells her he loves her.

Episode 4.12: A Family Matter
Written by Daniel Palladino
Airs 2.03.2004

Rory's driving herself and Lorelai home after Friday night dinner, and she plans on staying in Stars Hollow for the whole weekend.

Jess and Liz, his mother and Luke's sister, show up separately. We might not see Liz until the end of this episode, if not she'll be in episode 13.

Luke reports Jess' car stolen after he notices it's gone, and when it's recovered the cop, Coop, tells him the car has been found broken down on the freeway, but the person driving is the legal owner: Jess Mariano. The cop brings Jess to the diner because he figures it's a family situation. Jess tells Luke he's only here to take his car back, and both guys tell each other they've got a lot of nerve. No word on why he stays yet.

Rory sees Jess, but he does not see her. Rory avoids dealing with it and goes home. Luke is feeling protective of Rory.

Lorelai and Jason are still dating and she brings him to shop for furniture. She wants to tell Emily about them, but in the end she can't do it. She looks "defeated" and Rory has to drive home.

Digger is talking to some Japanese businessmen and Mr. Watanabe is the translator. Lorelai is with Jason when he is with the businessman. It is supposed to be Jason's day off. Lorelai goes with him to a club/bar and the Japanese men sing karaoke.

Episode 4.11: In the Clamor and the Clangor
Written by Janet Leahy and Shelia E. Lawrence
Airs 1.27.04

The band gets a gig in NYC and Mrs. Kim finds Lane's hidden music stuff. Lane ends up staying out all night, doesn't call and after she talks with her mom, she gets kicked out. Lane calls Luke, whom she's been working for, and Lorelai, but in the end she shows up with suitcase in hand at Rory's dorm.

Rory's plot involves Hot Laundry Guy who's back, and running around campus telling stories about a girl who asked him out and is now stalking him. Rory thinks he's talking about her, but when she talks to him about it he says it's a girl from high school he's referring to.

Lane is working on a project with students from her college. They have to interview a leader who has influence over a community, state or nation. The others want to interview Pastor Cho (who does it every year) or assistant Pastor Eric from the college.

Luke and Lorelai get into some kind of argument while he is shoveling the snow (probably her walk). He tells her to do it herself, and she says something like, "That's my shovel." Then Luke responds with "I lent it to you years ago."

Paris and Rory go to an International Relations Association meeting. They're discussing the Israel/Palestinian conflict when Rory verbally attacks a guy, mentioning the spreading of "blatant, heinous, and ridiculous lies" in the context of the Middle East, and calling him an idiot. (From Rachel's earlier spoilers, this must be Hot Laundry Guy. His name is William.) He seems to have no idea why she's mad at him. I think I'm going to hate Rory in this episode.

The only people who show up to hear the band play are Brian's parents. The club booker tells the band they will reschedule but Lane keeps begging him to let them play.

LUKE MOVES IN WITH NICOLE - SORT OF; Lorelai (Lauren Graham) is upset to discover that Luke (Scott Patterson) has gotten an apartment with Nicole (Tricia O'Kelley) in Litchfield, but when it becomes clear that he is reluctant to actually move, Lorelai admits to him that she doesn't want him to leave Stars Hollow. Rory (Alexis Bledel) keeps running to William (guest star Peter Klausner), the guy who turned her down when she suggested they go out, and she is humiliated when she hears he has been spreading stories about her obsession with him. Meanwhile, when Lane (Keiko Agena) sneaks out of the house to play a gig with her band, Mrs. Kim (Emily Kuroda) finally discovers her daughter's double life and kicks her out of the house.

Episode 4.10: The Nanny and the Professor
Airs 1.20.04
Scott Kaufer wrote the episode directed by Peter Lauer.

Rory's coming back to campus. It doesn't come out and say it's after winter break but that was the impression I got because a maintenance man is in her room and Rory's a little early, no one else is around. From her window, she sees Paris getting out of Professor Asher Fleming's car and stopping to kiss him. It says Rory gawks at the sight but I thought from an earlier description we had that Rory saw them kissing in episode 9. Paris tells Rory that she got back that morning and went to see her mom.

Lorelai, Jason, a dog named Cyrus.

When Lorelai gets to her parents' house for dinner, the Historical Society is giving a walking tour of the house. Parts of the house are blocked off by velvet ropes. Richard is unhappy because the tour was supposed to be over by 5:00 and people think the Gilmores are actors.

New semester: Rory's taking Contemporary Political Fiction with Professor Asher Fleming.

FORBIDDEN ROMANCES - Lorelai (Lauren Graham) makes Jason (Chris Eigeman) promise not to tell her parents about their budding romance, but she is still shocked to hear that Richard (Edward Herrmann) and Emily (Kelly Bishop) attended a charity event and saw Jason there with a date. When Rory (Alexis Bledel) and Paris (Liza Weil) take part in an all-night hazing ritual for new staffers of the Yale newspaper, Rory finds herself making excuses to the paper's neurotic editor, Doyle (guest star Danny Strong), after Paris sneaks out to meet Professor Flemming, (guest star Michael York). Meanwhile, Lane (Keiko Agena) gets a job working for Luke (Scott Patterson) at the diner and Michel (Yanic Truesdale) babysits for Sookie's (Melissa McCarthy) son.

4.09 - Ted Koppel's Big Night Out (11.18.03)
Written by Amy Sherman Palladino

"GILMORE GIRLS- - (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET)
"Ted Koppel's Big Night Out"
MICHAEL YORK ("CABARET") GUEST-STARS -- When Richard (Edward Herrmann) and Emily (Kelly Bishop) invite Rory (Alexis Bledel) and Lorelai (Lauren Graham) to their very fancy tailgate party at the Harvard/Yale football game, Lorelai's innocent conversation with Richard's ex-fiancée Pennilyn Lott (guest star Linda Gehringer) leads Emily to deduce that Richard and Pennilyn have been meeting secretly for lunch for many years. Emily blows up at both Richard and Lorelai, prompting Lorelai to stop worrying about her mother's feelings and finally accept Jason's (Chris Eigeman) invitation to dinner. Meanwhile, Richard introduces Paris (Liza Weil) to his old classmate who is now a distinguished Yale professor (guest star Michael York), and Rory is astonished when she later spots Paris and the professor kissing.

Lorelai, Emily and Richard go to Yale. There must be a football game going on because there's tailgating in a parking lot. Lorelai flirts with a guy named Bennie and Emily tells her not to harrass the people where Rory goes to school.

Lorelai and Digger go to a Chinese restaurant for dinner, an upscale place. Lorelai is impressed when the hostess seats them right away. "Lorelai is dressed to kill...in a fancy black dress and wrap." Lorelai looks around for stars, sees Ted Koppel. She and Digger are seated in a private room. Later they go to a market where Lorelai can't find the chips she wants. Digger talks an employee into letting them into the back room to look for the chips.

I don't know if Sandy is a maid or what but while Richard sings with the Whiffenpoofs, Emily gives her orders about arranging the cookies Rory brought (Fig Newtons).

Lorelai and Digger don't tell Emily and Richard how deep into a relationship they are - that they're sleeping together.

Rory and Lorelai attend Richard and Emily's posh tailgating party at the Yale-Harvard football game, where an encounter with Richard's college sweetheart exposes an upsetting secret he's been keeping for more than 30 years. Elsewhere, Paris tries to score an interview with a distinguished faculty member (Michael York); Rory has reservations about Luke's new waiter; and Lorelai finally accepts Jason's dinner invitation.

Surprised to see Nicole (Tricia O’Kelley) at the diner, Lorelai forces Luke (Scott Patterson) to admit that he and Nicole have put their divorce on hold and are dating again, and Lane (Keiko Agena) freaks out when her mother gives her a “marriage jug” to send to Dave in California. Gilmore Girls Becomes a Work of Art
by Michael Ausiello

Art imitates art this November on Gilmore Girls when the kooky residents of Stars Hollow decide to host their own version of the popular California-based Pageant of the Masters, in which living, breathing people re-create classic and contemporary paintings.

"It's going to be our big town thing this season," says exec producer Amy Sherman-Palladino, who jokes that she's prepared to make up for any budget overruns by holding "a big Gilmore Girls car wash. Me and the staff are going to go out and wash [überproducer] John Wells's car to raise money for Episode 7."

Details of the special installment are still being finalized, but this much we know: Lorelai will bring to life a Renoir painting, while Kirk (Sean Gunn) takes on the daunting task of playing God. "He's going to be Jesus in the 'Last Supper,'" laughs Sherman-Palladino, "and he takes it very much to heart, to the point where maybe he and Judas aren't getting along so well."

Of course, the real drama occurs behind the canvas. "Sookie is really close to giving birth in this episode, and has decided to do a home birth with a midwife," explains the exec. "It's going to be about Lorelai wanting to be there when the baby is born, and Lorelai trying to get along with the midwife." Yeah, yeah, it's always about Lorelai...

STARS HOLLOW HOSTS AN ART FESTIVAL/SEBASTIAN BACH OF SKID ROW GUEST-STARS –— When Stars Hollow puts on the “Festival of Living Art,” an event in which the townspeople stage famous paintings, Rory appears in "Portrait of a Young Girl Named Antea," Lorelai plays the beauty in Renoir’s “The Dance at Bougival,” while Kirk is Jesus in “The Last Supper.” Meanwhile, Sookie panics about going past her delivery date and Lorelai calms her down with stories of the night Rory was born. Nicole tells Luke she wants to hold off on the divorce and give their relationship a chance. Lane finds a great guitarist, but he is a good deal older than everyone else in the band. Daniel Palladino wrote the episode directed by Chris Long.

4.06 - An Affair to Remember (10.28.2003)
Written by Amy Sherman Palladino

Kirk has a date with a girl named Lulu. He takes her to Luke's, where he set up a table with champagne, candles, and flowers. Luke even added a "reserved" sign.
Lorelai goes to see Jason/Digger at his new office. She has been trying to get in touch with him but he hasn't returned any of her calls so she's already mad when she walks in.

One of Rory's teachers tells the class that the syllabus was wrong and their reading has been pushed ahead a week. When Rory gets to her "study tree," she finds a guy sitting there. She asks him to move but he refuses and goes back to reading his magazine.

Lorelai and Tom inspect the barn at the Dragonfly Inn. She wants him to turn it into a stable.

Emily hires Lorelai and Sookie to cater a party but wants them to do a test meal first. When they get to the Gilmore house, they go to the front door. The maid directs them to the servants' entrance.

SPARKS FLY BETWEEN LORELAI AND RICHARD’S NEW BUSINESS PARTNER –— When Emily plans an elaborate launch party for Richard’s new company, she hires Lorelai and Sookie to cater the affair, then makes them jump through hoops to prove they are worthy of her trust. However, when Richard’s partner, Jason hurts Emily by insisting that her party idea is outdated, Lorelai confronts him about upsetting her mother, and is surprised when he asks her out to dinner. Meanwhile, Rory has a tough time finding a decent place to study at Yale. Amy Sherman-Palladino wrote the episode directed by Matthew Diamond.

General Spoilers

From zap2it.com:
Bach in the Saddle on 'Gilmore Girls'
October 2, 2003

Let "Will & Grace" pile on as many Oscar-winning actors as they want for cameos. When it comes to sweeps guest stars, The WB's "Gilmore Girls" has the only one who matters. With masterful Baroque composer Johann Sebastian Bach permanently indisposed, "Gilmore" producers have turned to the frontman of the somewhat less masterful Sebastian Bach and The Bach Tight 5.

The former Skid Row belter drops by to visit the fictional residents of Star's Hollow, Connecticut on Tuesday, Nov. 11.

The episode finds Lane (Keiko Agena) looking for a new guitarist for her band (presumably to replace Dave, a.k.a. "The O.C.'s" Seth as played by Adam Brody). They get a demo from a kick-butt rocker named Gil (Bach) and invite him to try out. They're shocked to discover, though, that Gil was born before the invention of compact disks. Will the band hire the most talented musician or look for somebody younger and cooler? It hardly matters when Sebastian Bach is on hand.

As excited as viewers may be to see Bach, he's even more excited to be doing the show. Although Bach misspells the show's title repeatedly (he calls it "Gilmour Girls") on his website, he also uses enough exclamation points to make a teenage girl blush.

"I'm kind of like the FONZ of the "Gilmour Girls,'" gushes the long-haired singer, who had done Broadway and touring productions of "Jekyll and Hyde" and "Jesus Christ Superstar." While the character of Gil is only scheduled for a single episode, sources at The WB say that things are left open-ended enough for Bach's possible return.

If Bach gets to return, security may want to keep a close eye on "Gilmore Girls" co-star Sally Struthers because he's a big fan of the "All in the Family" vet.

Bach writes on his site: "What is crazy is that my co-star in the first episode is none other than SALLY STRUTHERS who played the legendary 'Gloria Bunker' in one of the greatest TV shows ever, 'All In The Family'! I just got back from the first rehearsal & nobody told me I would be acting alongside Sally Struthers in my scenes , I couldn't believe it when she walked in the room today & sat down right next to me & we started to rehearse our lines! Wow, Meat Head would be jealous!!!"

From thewb.com: This year, Lorelai and Rory find their dreams within reach... well, almost. Rory's finally arrived at the Ivy League, but finds her new status attracts a lot of attention from her grandparents. She will begin to get a taste of just why her mother ran away from home those many years ago. Lorelai is about to realize her lifelong dream of owning her own country inn. In the meantime, food still needs to be put on the table and bills need to be paid, so Lorelai takes on a number of odd jobs, with an emphasis on the word "odd." But the new season's biggest surprise comes with an unexpected romance that will once again test Lorelai's loyalty - and patience - for her parents.

From spiced: They are casting a new hot boy for rory.

Jess is coming back for a few episodes. His mother Liz is also coming to Stars Hollow and bringing someone else with her. We have not seen this other character before.

From tvguide.com: CAST AWAY: When Gilmore Girls star Milo Ventimiglia returns to Stars Hollow later this season, his character, Jess, may have a surprise waiting for him: his mother. Series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino tells me she's "toying" with the idea of introducing Jess's never-before-seen mom (and Luke's sister) during February sweeps. "That would be a nice chance to get a really cool actress," Sherman-Palladino says. "Someone a little loony." Paging Sean Young...

From sebastianbach.com: BACH DOES GILMOUR GIRLS Greetings from sunny Hollywood California ! In town shooting the first episode in what is a recurring role on the WB TV show "THE GILMOUR GIRLS" ! I play the character of "Gil" & the plot of this episode is hilarious ! I don't want to give any surprises away, so you will just have to see it for yourself when it comes on ! I'm kind of like the FONZ of the "Gilmour Girls ", it is pretty funny ! I will be featured in more than one episode & of course I will let you know when they are coming on as soon as I know myself . What is crazy is that my co-star in the first episode is none other than SALLY STRUTHERS who played the legendary "Gloria Bunker" in one of the greatest TV shows ever, "All In The Family" ! Wow, Meat Head would be jealous !!! THE GILMOUR GIRLS airs on The WB Network .

The show cast Michael York as a Yale professor in his 50s or 60s who is friends with Richard and is a possible love interest for Paris. It's implied that Jamie and Paris are still together during the affair.

From Kristin at E!Online:
From marieclaire: Will Milo be back on Gilmore Girls or Boston Public?
Kristin: According the show rep at the WB, "Milo is definitely doing three episodes which could very likely lead to more." (Hurrah!) She says Milo's return won't be during sweeps but some time around January. And Milo's personal publicist says he's done with Boston Public.

Ethan Cohn recently signed on for a recurring role on "The Gilmore Girls." He plays Glenn, a nerdy guy living in Rory's dorm on the guy's floor.

HERE COMES MOMMY: Here's some "TV News" scoop from the new issue of TV Guide magazine (on newsstands now): Kathleen Wilhoite — best remembered for her role as Dr. Lewis's nutty sis on ER — has been cast as Jess's never-before-seen mom (and Luke's sibling) on Gilmore Girls. She first appears in the Jan. 27 episode, which also marks the return of Milo Ventimiglia's Jess.

From spiced: dave will be back for at least one ep to wrap up the storyline.
Shouldn't this be taken out, considering its now known that A.B. won't be able to return due to his schedule on The O.C.?

Thanks guys, appropriate edits have been made.

Should I take out the "spoiler" about Rory's new hot boyfriend?

because nothing of the sort has even happened yet and we're more than half way through the season! ..well, on spoilers that is!

They could still cast someone or someone may already be casted. We still have six episodes to go. I am enjoying Rory single.. though they need to make her life more interesting without a guy involved.

Though I am total 'shipper of Rory and Jess...Yes, right now I'd love to see Rory single for a while or at least 'till end of season four. I mean, we know that on sept/oct 2004 we'll get a fifth season of GG, so leaving Rory single would be a nice change!

By they way...six episodes to go are enough to introduce a new character and there are always May sweeps...

hey nerble, where did u get those pics?
I like Paris too. I think she made Chilton stories interesting, she always push Rory to grow some, whether is to compete with Paris, whether to stand for her own thoughts.
IMO Paris lines are the only reason why the whole Yale thing is interesting, so far...

Thanks for the new pictures.

I'm thinking the new hot boy for Rory won't happen this season. When Spiced said that, they didn't know they were getting Milo and Jared back. Even if nothing actually happens between them and Rory it's probably going to take up a lot of her storyline time and ASP hasn't been hinting in any articles that Rory's getting a new boyfriend. I've been thinking about taking it off my spoilers page but I never remember to do it when I update. I can always put it back if we hear they've cast someone.

This isn't really spoiler related, but I love the sweater Rory's wearing in the first picture. As for the second picture; I'm confused. Do Rory and Paris have a class together?
