Again, women are quite capable of having a man and starting off their career. Don't underestimate Rory. Just because she's starting off her career doesn't mean that she can't have a man. Does that mean that every single journalist stays single - not even dating - until their career is well set? What about lawyers? Doctors? Because I can start pulling real life examples of the exact opposite.
I am fully aware you can have both. If you so choose. It's not a either/or. Rory can have a man if she wants and still go out into the world and take it by storm.

All I am saying is that if Rory is single. She doesn't need a man if she doesn't want one, right now.

But for all we know, she's still with Logan as the season ends and as she graduates and they have a long-distance relationship or Logan goes with her, where ever she goes.

Considering Rory has been functioning in a relationship for awhile now. I am pretty sure she can handle it, after graduation. But if things do fall apart with Logan, doesn't mean she needs to have a man at home...right away. She can take her time if she wants.

As you said. No one needs a man. If they don't want one at a certain point in their life. Doesn't mean she wouldn't find one three months from now, six months...

People don't break up after every fight they have. If this were so, the divorce rate would be MUCH higher than it already is.

I have to laugh at the "university relationship - serious not permanent" comment. Oh - that's just rich. I'm sure my friends would get quite the kick out of it. EVERY SINGLE ONE of us have married or are engaged to the person they were dating in university. Perhaps we're just the bunch that skew the data? Shame on us.

You don't need to see it as a life-time relationship... because let's face it - many of us don't see a lot of relationships as life-time ones, yet those people still get married. Our opinions don't count. But, don't belittle someone's relationship because of your messed up perceptions of what relationships SHOULD be like.
Well we don't know if they break up. And if they do. What reason's. It's a television show, so for all we know it's a stupid reason. Or maybe not. It could be a serious one. They patched up their differences yesterday. But it doesn't mean it can't be an issue. And after trying to make it work, they just can't.

I am talking about a fictional character. Didn't mean to offend anyone who may have met their dream man or woman in university and married and are very happy. My parents met in university, married the summer after my mother graduated. They didn't work out. But I do know people do find their soulmates while in university.

But I am just saying in this case, Rory may have to decide if Logan is the one for her. Can see her future with him?

I am not trying to belittle any real life relationship. I am just speculating about a fictional relationship which has been turbulant in the past, and may have obstacles in the future.

And if Rory does find herself single, she doesn't need to jump into a new relationship right away...

It is in my top 10 of all time.
I thought the scenes between the girls were amazing and the ending brought me to tears.
Thank you, DSR for finally having this show live up to it's name.
The incredible talent of Kelly Bishop is stunning and Alexis Bledel has truly become a strong actress.
Lauren Graham shouldn't worry about her romantic interests b/c quite frankly, her best chemistry is with Kelly Bishop.
The episode had a good flow to it. An excellent mix of comedy and drama. True to GG. I also found myself getting melancholy about Rory graduating.
We've come a long way with these "Girls" and it was so wonderful to finally see them again last night...

ITA!

WOW WOW WOW WOW.

I loved this episode. It was awesome beyond belief. And it felt very Gilmorish. The last bits with the passage from Emily to Lorelai to Rory and the fact that Rory's about to enter the world and leave her mother was touchy and heartfelt.
I loved it, I can repeat it a thousand times and I'm definitely going to rewatch it.
I also liked how Rory was concerned about Lorelai and Emily keep being close-ish even when she's gonna be gone.
And I loved that Lorelai is helping her mother and their thursday's computer lessons.

I also loved how strong and self confident Rory's turned out to be. Not that she was insecure but back in the early season she looked like a lost puppy sometimes. The way she acted with Logan yesterday, I was like "high-five sista friend". She's definitely grown up.

A wonderful episode. Now if they could just bring in Luke and Lorelai. The time's now perfect.

Ok, since we are "at it" again:

I know I never confirm anything and never bring any spoilers, cause honestly you guys scare me half to death most of the times and I don't like being attacked, but I asked my "source" yesterday and I was also told that it is planned to make Rory and Logan break up. Ah and by the way, my source isn't Kasia (Fojbe) or the person she knows it from.

Yes, yes, yes! I love the writing of the last few eps, and I would love to see how they would write L/L. Unlike most JJ's, I didn't care much for how ASP protrayed L/L, even though I shipped the couple. I really hope the S8 news is a go, and that SP is on board.

At it where? Because people are speculating? I like the couple, but still see that it could go either way. I guess we'll see. Just like we will see about season 8. I hope whoever was talking to Sarah and Jason wasn't wrong.

ooo, good luck - now that you have posted what you have heard, you have (sadly) opened yourself up to being accused of participating in some purported juvenile plot to plant false spoilers worthy of 8 year olds.

Well, if I were an R/L shipper, I would want a S8. That way they could bring them back together. L/L broke up at the end of S6, and hopefully will end up together. Perhaps it will work that way for R/L.

Well, I suppose we will officially know soon, regarding S8 and if MC is coming back to GG. That should tell us what is coming.

Oh yes, I know, cause I am a JJ.

But I am not against Rory and Logan, that is why I knew nothing about them, cause I only asked about LL so far.
But now that the spoiler about the RL break-up was doubted so much I asked when I got the oportunity to yesterday.

All she said is "Yes, it is true. It is planed to make the break-up".

I didn't ask further, cause honestly I am not really interested in any Rory storyline what so ever.

But I wanted to speak up this once, cause for me it seems like these days only spoilers which are wanted are accepted.

I always stay out of these fights and I won't tell you more than that, but that is what I've been told yesterday evening.
I don't know how permanent that break-up is, I didn't ask about that.

Good Lord I hope not. I want it all! And I'm with you on the university relationship thing -- my parents not only met in college but married in college and had me while my dad was still working on his PhD.

I must be the only one who found last night's episode less enjoyable than Will You Be My Lorelai Gilmore? and I am Kayaak...

Clearly. That must be why gossipcom's spoiler posted yesterday that they won't breakup wasn't added to the first post.

My parents met while attending university and they got married before graduating.
They had me two years after. And they are still together. So I also understand the "university relationship"-thing.

And about the episode - I agree. I thought it was okay but that's it.
I liked 7.16 far better than this one.

LOL, I like the contents and style of your sentiments about this episode. I feel similarly.

I really liked how nothing, although poignant and raw, was over the top emotionally. Not between Lorelai and Emily, not between Rory and Logan.

I loved the talk outside the wedding RL had, and how after things were said and honestly expressed, the tension that could have remained was difused by Rory teasing Logan about the cake. To me it was just right.

And I loved how the understanding between Lorelai and Emily was subtly built, maintaining mother and daughter's witty tongues, while
both Rory and Mia served as independent enhancing forces.

And I definitely missed some LL interaction or Luke mention either by Mia or in relation to seeing pics of the babies. I guess LL interaction is coming after the "Ihateis" or whatever it's called...

I'm not trying to start an argument here, but I was wondering when. I don't remember seeing it.
