It wasn't disdain to me. It rang very true to real life. Every time I talk to my mom about the internships I'm applying for in New York this summer, she subtly tries to convince me how great my home city is (which it is) and how much fun we'd have if I'd only stay there. In fact -- and maybe I'm misinterpreting this line-- but Lorelai said something about how the party begins after Rory graduates, and that is SO something my mom would say. And my mom is nothing but supportive of everything I do...it's just natural that you want to stay close to your child.

AA makes me happy!!! Thanks for bringing it over, and I LOVE Lorelai singing. Though, MA needs to get his facts straight. The girls singing the Pippi song is a GG classic. My sister and I will rewind it over and over when we watch that episode.

I've always wondered why there was not even talk about Chris getting Lorelai a new car, even a newer Jeep. It would be nice if Lorelai is helping Luke replace the truck (moving on) and getting something safer for their road/boat trip in the summer! Maybe the fight is 'cause Lorelai wants to come ont he road trip but doesn't know how to tell Luke?
