I get Lorelai's a Mom and all, but I guess if I were her how she's been before, I would have thought she'd be more excited.

She needs to understand she and Rory are fine, and that she can function without Rory being tied so close to her. As well as Rory should be able to function that way, too. Focusing on Rory keeps Lorelai from focusing on her relationship with Emily.

Lorelai really needs to concentrate on her relationship with Emily, and I'm glad Rory pointed that out, and I'm glad Lorelai started to get it at the end.

I thought it was hilarious that Emily has a thing for Will Smith.

I found this casting news for ASP's new show on TVGuide:
Quote:
Two-time Six Feet Under Emmy nominee Lauren Ambrose has been cast as Parker Posey's younger sister in Amy Sherman-Palladino's The Return of Jezebel James.

Personally, I think this episode has the feel of them beginning to wrap up the main storylines of the show. I think the last couple of ones have kinda felt like that. But this one in particular did. I'm expecting us to get notice during this hiatus we're heading into.
I just hope the have something special planned for L&L and R&L to end the series if we only have 5 eps left. I don't want either couple to end up just friends and have Lorelai alone with PA.

The fact they went on a road trip together, showed alot of progress has been made between Lorelai and Emily. Sure not everything has been patched up. They still have a lot of baggage from Lorelai's teenage years and the fact Emily missed so much.

But the fact Lorelai is giving Emily computer classes and looking at business matters of her parents shows that she no longer just shows up to Friday Night Dinner's. She's more involved.

That is progress.

Lorelai wants the best for Rory. She has always wanted. Which is why she sacrificed to get Rory into Chilton, and while she is seeing her only child graduate from Yale in a few short months. Her wanting the best hasn't changed.

But she's naturally going through the graduation blues and empty nest syndrome. The idea that Rory is looking at opportunities all over the country makes it all the more real. Lorelai knows Rory's dream is to work all over the place. But it's now reality time. And she's facing it. Graduation is approaching. It's not four years down the line anymore. It's within weeks...

Doesn't mean she wouldn't be thrilled if Rory accepted a job in California. But like any parent, I am sure a big part of her would love if Rory was in driving distance, like she has been the last four years.

She's freaking out, which is natural. She being Lorelai didn't see the similiar state she is in, like what her own mother went through until it was brought to her attention. Now she's aware. And I hope as Rory's graduation approaches, there is more awareness.

As much as Lorelai could use some more work on her relationship with her mother. Her relationship with Rory still has the more importance to anything that happens with her parents. Rory comes first.

I wouldn't be surprised if Scott's pilot is contingent on what happens with Gilmore Girls. If the pilot gets picked up and Gilmore Girls does to, and they want him back, and he wants GG. They will recast the role in Babylon.
As no one has a contract for season 8 of GG, Lauren and Alexis included, then SP is free to pursue another job. It is up to TPTB of GG to approach him with an offer. As they haven't done that yet he owes them nothing. Pilots are just that, pilots, until picked up for the new season. SP and everyone else could be out of a job if GG doesn't have an 8th season and their pilots don't get picked up. I would imagine this is a very nervouse time of year for many actors who primarily work on tv.

Zombies. Apparently, Amber Tamblyn is also in it.

True. I guess I am most familiar for what happens, if you still have a contract and you seek other work. And your current project is brought back. That means, you're bound to the current project and the new project would need to be recast.

Sure, if he doesn't have a contract. Then he doesn't have to return if he doesn't want to.

And GG is up a creek in terms of Luke and Lorelai if there is a Season 8. But then as much as it sucks. I am not sure you need Luke for the show to go on. As long as Lorelai and Rory are around. But then we've been sold that Luke and Lorelai have been soulmates and eventually they would get it right. So he needs to be there. But then I wouldn't be opposed to it continuing, even if there is no Luke.

But then depending on Scott's allegiance to GG. He might want to return. And then the Babylon would get a new casting.

But then we don't know if Babylon will get picked up. The premise is iffy. But because it has Amber Tamblyn (ex General Hospital and Joan of Acadia), I am likely to be watching at least the beginning, if it is...

Gilmore Girls: Gilmore Girls Only - TV Squad

Quote:
When Dawn Ostroff, the CW's president of entertainment, was doing her "state of the network" press tour session in January, she said this about Gilmore Girls: "(David Rosenthal) was painted into a corner into with a storyline that he got out of. The second half of the season is much stronger, and I think viewers will be surprised."

I scoffed a little when she said that; nothing about the season to that point had suggested that the show was going to improve. But I've got to hand it to Rosenthal and company; the show has been on an upward trend, giving us about a month's worth of entertaining episodes that, while not quite up to the level of the show's creative peak, certainly give me hope that the show won't go out with a whimper, whether it's this season or next.

Short summary. From my memory.

Young adult (in her 20's) woman was abused by her father. With the help of her mother, they kill her father. But all of the sudden the father isn't dead. Has come back to life. Causing havoc for her.

So I assume Scott's part is the abusive father.
