I feel out of step, lol. I thought this ep was great, thoroughly enjoyed it. I thought it was vintage GG, the best this season. The Emily/Lorelai/Rory interaction was so good. I thought they finally got Emily right this season.

I also really enjoyed the R/L scenes. To be honest, I haven't hated them this season, but they haven't been highly interesting. In this ep, I actually was really interested in watching their relationship. I have a lot of respect for Logan, striking out on his own.

I also enjoyed the Luke/Zach scenes. I even saw a glimpse of Old Ranting Luke when he took away Bill's pie. Hee! I thought how Luke acted when he was reading the back of the CD was hilarious.

The only down side was no L/L scenes, but I can still enjoy the show without them. All in all, I was very pleased.

ETA: No flashbacks, huh? Kill the messenger! Sorry, couldn't resist!

Well, clearly Lorelai. Since there's never been any sort of ever after, middle or packages, whole or half, for Rory. She's not the one that's been trying to find that sort of happiness most of the show. After all, most people, me included for a long time, rather expected Rory to likely end up alone, heading out into the world, and Lorelai to be settled, married and all.

She has a son, his name was John. He's in one of the episodes after Tales of Poes & Fires.

I was the one who stated there were flashbacks.

At the time of filming, they were either going to go with young Lorelai/Rory flashbacks or have photos of that time period included in a scene. From what I can tell they were mentioned and they definitely had footage of the time period (whether it was in still format or video format in the editing room I'm not 100% sure) but it sounds like they decided in the final cut to just eliminate the photos from being on screen. But it was definitely filmed. As I've said before gotta love when stuff is cut out in the final cut.

Shall be interesting to see what Ausiello drops this week.

Can i just say that Rory's dress was way worse than what it looked like in the pictures? If it had been a little longer it wouldn't have been as bad. Maybe?

With Lorelai and Christopher finally kaput, Rory in a spat with Logan and Emily in Richard's way as he recuperates from his heart attack, Gilmore Girls tries to up the emotional ante and bide time until Luke eventually and predictably re-enters their lives – by taking the three generations of Gilmore women on a road trip for a wedding. It's at the North Carolina nuptials that they come face-to-face with Mia (guest star Kathy Baker), Lorelai's surrogate mom, which brings up all sorts of emotional angst for Emily. Also, Lane finally gives birth to her twins (8 p.m. on The CW, 10 p.m. on Global).

In this comedic drama, the dead are resurrected and try to resume their former lives where they left off. The zombies rising results in lives regained as families are restored, but at the same time opens old wounds. The pilot episode is written by Gerald Cuesta and Michael Atkinson, who will also serve as supervising producers.

Long way before its over, it still has to be picked up and even then SP part depends on S8, IMO it might prompt TPTB to talk to Scott!

Are you saying you don't think Rory will ever have that whole package?

Mia was a professional success, had a son, and was perfectly happy when we last saw her 4 years ago. Now she suddenly has a new husband.

Could happen to either girl, or anyone - especially with a wave of the continuity fairy's wand. But Rory's life is more open-ended, she could go anywhere, do anything - and meet anyone.

For all the lack of LL scenes, the show spent all seven years establishing that Lorelai's home is in Stars Hollow, they rather pounded in that message this year - and that's where Luke is. Eh.

As I thought. Weird to not even mention him - maybe he's the other Mia's son.

Wow,looks like all the cast members are finding work elsewhere!
Can't say I blame them...

Mmmh,so this definitely means no season 8?
(I really can't imagine GG without Luke)

Anyway, good luck to both Scott and Matt with their new shows!

I don't. Emily said she'll be a heart breaker. She'll be empowered. She'll never need a man.
