So, you're not Luke!

LUKE: Well, at first, I walked around a bunch, ya know, just trying to clear my head. Saw a lot of Hartford – and what a cesspool.
LORELAI: Well, you’re not a city man.
(I like my city: only 200,000 inhabitants + 40.000 students at an university.)

If you are so adamant about the utter despicability of a character then there is no room for discussion with anyone who feels otherwise. It's like a debate between a true believer and an agnostic. An agnostic might be able to see two sides to something but the true believer cannot and will not bend. So, what is there to discuss?

There is room for dicussions and debate and expressing opinions about everything here. We don't and won't all think alike, we have our POVs and discuss those all the time. But accept the person. As long as they don't expect me to hate/love the show/Christopher/Lorelai/Luke/Rory/Logan/SL/showrunner etc. as they do, but rather express their opinions, even defending them with a passion as we all may want to do about our own POV, then I don't want to expect anything of them either, other than to respect me and my POV. That's how I feel, I hope it makes some sense. In no way was I saying we have to agree with everyone and everything said here, how is that even possible ?
No there's not. Not with Caf, and a few other people, on that issue. Haven't we seen ample evidence of this by now?

BTW, if this season marks the series' end, I hope the graduation isn't the last episode. I'd like to get a sneak peek a few months or even a year or two into the future of our main characters.
DR has already stated previously there's no time jump at the end of this season (he answered it when talking about incorporating Melissa's pregnancy into the show).

That same assessment applies to you and your view of Luke does it not?

I never said I hated Luke. That I thought him reprehensible or any of the other adjectives Caf has used for Chris. I liked Luke back when he and Lorelai were friends. I just don't buy that their romance is the central issue of this show and must precede every other storyline, especially Rory's.

Where are you getting the equivalency at?

Another short description of "Gilmore Girls Only":
Quote:
Lorelai and Rory along with Emily, who is avoiding time with Richard, head to North Carolina for the wedding of the woman who took them in when Lorelai was a young, new mother; Lane asks Luke to be the godfather of her twins just before giving birth
According to the spoilers, that "Finally, Lane goes into labor and Luke helps get everyone to the hospital". I think, it's Luke, who takes Lane to the hospital.
Good training before he does it for Lorelai!

Well that goes to show we all learn something new everyday. For two years you have posted nothing but vitrol about Luke. Not even about lorelai. This has nothing to do with LL. But, you have never had a nice word to say about the character. What I've gotten from your post is that Luke is horrible and a waste of space. He's either too angry and should be put in jail or not angry enough. If you ever liked him you haven't shown that in your posts. So, to me Caf's sentiments about Chris are equivalent to your sentiments about luke.

Yes, a lot of people take the Warner Brothers Studio tours. In February, I met with a group to take several tours during the week. I especially enjoyed the Deluxe tour ($150.00) which start at 10:30 AM, takes around 4 - 5 hours, and includes lunch at the Warner Bros Commissary. Check out the website!

Anyone knows if there is any significance in the door knob that Mrs. Kim gave Lorelai and why she made a point in stressing that it belonged to John Adams?

I might be pulling at straws but here are some possible similarities:

John Adams Source: Miller Center of Public Affairs
2nd President of the USA.
Nickname: “Atlas of Independence”
Help negotiate the “treaty of peace” during the Revolutionary war

Lorelai Gilmore
The 2nd Lorelai
Very independent woman
Brokered peace between Lane and Mrs. Kim

Door knobs give access to a home through the doorway.

Quote:
"One of the most important aspects of Feng Shui is protecting the main door into your home. This is generally where all the energy (Chi) enters the property and it can be good or bad."

Symbols of protection and happiness are popular forms in wood, brass, etched glass, and in statuary art. Without contention, the most popular symbol of protection is a key. Sometimes, with housewarming ceremonies, the transferring of keys is a very purposeful ritual complete with prayers. Door knobs can be symbolic too as can windows which may figure into the door area.

This all seems very deep to me. Somewhere embedded in these two things (John Adams and the door knob) is the key to the message but I don’t want to make a fool of myself and guess what it could be

I also found this interesting considering Miss. Patty’s and Babette’s conversation about the rooster, the hen and the beagle in IAKHMR.

To prevent your husband from developing a roving eye, place a small image of a Rooster at your main door, facing out. This way, the Rooster is said to peck away all the peach blossoms, or young love that might be present.

Do you think the writers were trying to make a connection between this reference in IAKHMR and WYBMLG?

I think you give the writers too much credit. They probably just thought it was funny and wierd.
