Even now apart from Sookie does she have any close friends about her own age? Yes she has townie friends but that's different. Apart from Sookie and Luke she is lacking any close friends that will always be there.

I think they're clearly heading toward some sort of understanding with regard to L/E, and I think that's what's most important in Lorelai's life to move forward and really get rid of the emotional baggage that's preventing her from having the happiness she seeks. They have time to repair that breech, they've been actively working on it every episode IRBIP forward. The only thing there's not time for is L/L, to make it believable. For me that's not a priority, I realize it is for others it is. But Sandy's Under the Tuscan Sun ending, that would be lovely, as far as I'm concerned. The audience wasn't promised a middle for any of the characters, that wasn't what the show was ever about. Only the characters were promised that, somewhere away from our prying eyes.

lemon tart since we know who was in Under the Tuscan Sun can we stop comparing what might happen with that. And yes I know DS is an actor and it was not Chris but still.

I'm not talking about David Sutcliffe. I don't think the fact that he's the actor has any relivance to the point of that being an ending they can make work this season. I'm also not talking about Chris. I think who the actor was at the end of UtTS is immaterial.

I don't think they need an entire new season to fix Lorelai's relationship with her parents. They can do it in the next few episodes, if they give to the Gilmore clan enough screentime. And I'm really hopeful that we'll get great Emily/Lorelai scenes in Gilmore Girls Only.

As for Lorelai's romantic life, I wasn't a big fan of her with Christopher. But now I'm okay if they decide to write a LL make up in the last two or three episodes or even if they end as friends and she meets someone else.

Please, if you take pictures, bring some of Paris apartment. And try to find if Logan still is leaving in the NYC apartment or with Rory. Any stage related to Logan is good too!

Considering the movie was a bastardization of the book by Frances Mayes, where the Diane Lane character was in fact a happily married woman who moved to Italy with her husband, and the character played by DS didn't even exist in the book.....I can't place any relevence to GG at all. Unless you are talking about the book and compare Luke and Lorelai to the happily married couple, with Luke doing all the delicious cooking instead of Lorelai.

You missed the discussion where the comparisons were made. It might have been a previous thread. The point was that sometimes the things that you imagine or dream about having in your life, you do end up getting, but NOT in the way that you imagined.

Well I don't know the book so I can't compare the two.

As for the rest of the season, I hope they have enough time to be in a good place but for L&L to end up as friends after all that happened with Chris not being the one and everything that Lorelai said before about Luke being the one, from my POV it would be a bad ending and make the divorce pointless. And the fact she is still yet to speak to Luke about what happened and the stretch that out for 4 eps till 18 is IMO a lot of wasted time. The just need baby steps but and they could have said more last week. Or even next week if they meet at the hospital.

I just feel we're in this weird place now where we know they talk, we know she's never gonna go back to Chris but we don't know when of if L&L will be a couple again.

No, I got it. I just wish the point had been made without using that movie to make it. I hate the movie for ruining the book, which is a wonderful diary of the romance of Italy, instead of some lame chicklit that the movie made it seem.

Of course sitting in the movie theater with friends already grumbling about what they did to the book, only to to have CHRISTOPHER show up in the last scene with his backpack and smirk only deepened my hate lol.

Personally, I'd love to see a Hannah and Her Sisters ending for Lorelai. A huge family dinner table, surrounded by broken individuals who never thought they'd find love outside or inside their family. But they do, in the least expectant people or manner.

Well, it was ASP who did this not me. I wanted LL to get married in season 6, but ASP had other ideas and did a good job destroying the faire tale for me. Besides, I liked Digger and Max too, so the 6 1/2 years math doesn't work for me.

I respect if other fans feel different. But I think I'm entitled to my own opinion.

No one said they didn't respect your opinion(at least not me), & I agree ASP went south on the LL relationship(for reasons that have long been debated here), but some fans feel cheated that 14 episodes where devoted to a SL that should not have happened, or at least not started the way it did.

I understand your feeling, but how can they change what's done now?
