She's not selfish. 'Wanting to want' a man like Christopher isn't selfish. It's a great deal worse than that.

Unfortunately, Lorelai's presence seriously marred what was probably an otherwise enjoyable episode for me.

Lane was cute in that bed - but Zach is so bland my attention wandered and I remembered her music.

Rory was back to being blandly perfect. It's hard to sympathize with her interview nerves when it feels like we already know she'll get the internship. Even if she doesn't, ever since she swanned back to Yale with no consequences for missing half a year, it lacks interest knowing that magic wand will grant all her wishes.

I think if this were my first episode and I didn't know the characters or their background, I'd probably have enjoyed it.

*Ducks* Guess I'm sitting at a table for one tonight.

Lorelai needs no redemption for me. She was pushed to the edge, reacted badly and now is living with it. Good for her. Luke now can jump. Too bad it's a year too late. I like this new grown-up version of GG.

Yeah sure. A man skipping out on a baby shower is really awful and uncommon
here men don't go to baby showers, Venezuelan are too machist, I suppose.

I'm not sure I understand what will redeem Lorelai in your eyes. I understand that you want her to tell Christopher off, but I just don't think that's ever going to happen. Are you really going to depise Lorelai for the rest of the series? This baffles me, because there's just so much more to her character...

I'm trying VERY hard not to get my hopes up for AA.

Luke used to have some of the funniest stuff in this show since the beginning - now, it's like they can't figure out how to write for him.
d.
I have to agree Luke was the most serious and in a sad way - especially when he saw Lorelai - it was sweet but not like they had ever been together before

and they are hitting us over our heads with changes stuff

but overall this was a great ep - The old Lorelai is slowly coming back and I embrace it - I think DS really didn't fit into the show and DSR didn't know how to write anyone with him which in turn imo made LG really awful

this felt like an ep from the first or second season

AA is up...

Question: I can't believe all the sucking-up people are doing by mentioning your brief role on Scrubs. The fact that you buy into it makes me a little sad for you. However, my opinion of you might improve if you give me some scoop on Gilmore Girls.— Christina
Ausiello: Because it's imperative that everyone love me, I accept your offer, Christina. Mark your calendar for Apr. 17* (*tentative airdate), 'cause that's when a pretty major turning point occurs in the Luke and Lorelai saga. Based on my e-mail bag, it's an event many of you have been anxiously waiting for all season long. And if you wanna know what it is, check out the premiere of my new TVGuide.com vodcast (i.e., online video show) tomorrow! Sorry, but a guy's gotta cross-promote where he can. (Hey, Christina — do you like me now?)

Question: Just curious: Have you heard about GilmoreGirls.Org's Great8Mandate?— Emily
Ausiello: Not a peep. You guys are slipping!

Question: I just had a thought: Now that The O.C. is kaput, I wonder if Gilmore Girls can get Adam Brody back to stir up trouble for Zach and Lane?— Grace
Ausiello: Never gonna happen. Adam doesn't want to do another series right now. I know this because he was offered the lead in a very high-profile fall pilot, and passed.

i actually enjoyed her tonight and i haven't been able to say that since Partings

I love the John and Yoko thing

Rory annoys me - she is about to graduate from Yale and acts like a two year old when something or someone like the bald man is not pointed out to her very quickly

I am betting that is when she goes back in the diner, considering how many people have emailed about that. Whatever. Ausiello annoys me.

And I just have to say, I am feeling a little vindicated. So many people were down about this episode, based on the promo, and I was looking forward to it. HA! I am so happy that I was right about this. It is so much better than being right, back in May, about the marriage I never wanted to see. Hee. And "Huzzah!" for tonight's episode.
