I'm SO in love with this episode!!! It had classic GG written all over it.

Rory felt so beautifully grown-up...can't explain it. It was as if she was the Rory that we always imagined her to grow up to be. Maybe it was the NY Times thing; I don't know. Lorelai was CLASSIC Lorelai, finally. I loved how she stepped in for Lane and Mrs. Kim -- that' so her. Putting her heart into helping someone. She just seems alive again

Random thoughts: SS LURK was perfect. MC's amazing. "My phone was on off" LOL. The shower was adorable. The Emily-Lorelai/Mrs. Kim-Lane parallels were spot-on. Luke needs a hug and I know who he needs it from. WE NEED AN 8TH SEASON.

Awesome episode!! I have to agree with the other posters that this was the first classic GG I have seen in a LONG time! I only hope it gets better from here in regards to all the couples!! And let me just say drunk Logan was the best!

Nola, true, very true, but I rather be down with Allura than another guy known as Jack. There's only one Captain Jack, and he hangs with WILL TURNER! That aside, genki, no pink, but I do have FUSHA! Who doesnt love FUSHA?

Tara, she's always CLASSIC LORELAI. Much like COKE, that's how she rolls. However, she's dealing, and I like that she's finally dealing. If you...you know who you are around the net...do not feel as if she''s DEALING. Go talk to a freakin banker. Lorelai is working stuff out. Which, Craig, you have to deal with as a fan, because this story will get you what you want. You do want to jump into the arms of a giant in a billowy gown, dont you?

And hooray for a RINI BELL APPEARANCE! HUZZAH! Oh yeah, did you notice, that she rolls with Babette and Patty now? Good times. VIVA LA MOPAC!

Okay I'll rephrase Jason-- she was classic caring-for-other-people Lorelai. She proved in this episode that she is not the selfish person many people have think she's grown into.

Lorelali was just too up in her own head for awhile...(or other parts hee.) but she seems to have removed her head from her posterior and is figuring out her life. She's taking it day by day and realizing the single life ain't so bad.

No, that's who she's always been. But she's also very selfish while being that person, as well. This is one side of her. The nice one that I like. The other is very much a part of her as well.

I was responding to people who've said Lorelai crossed over to the dark side of selfishness and can't be redeemed. This episode shows that Lorelai still has her essence of caring and goodness. And I know that's who she's always been -- that was my point.

I agree that there is a selfish side to her, but IMO, there have been more instances of caring than there have been of selfishness.
