Well, after countless episodes, I am now convinced they are never going to give Luke another witty, funny word to say. Everyone else is getting marginaly amusing lines that could provoke some smiles, but Luke - nothing but droll and dry. I don't get it - what are these writers afraid of? Luke used to have some of the funniest stuff in this show since the beginning - now, it's like they can't figure out how to write for him.

I liked the look on Luke's face as they had April say she wasn't expecting anything really, just would be fine doing what they always do - I liked that he absorbed all the heavy handed "change already" signals and acted and did something fun and bought the boat.

I also liked that they positioned L/L in front of Miss Patty's to talk about the boat given that that is the spot they last spoke about it after their fight in season five....wonder if it was conscious or chance that that happened.

I hardly think Logan has lost much of the Huntzberger money - I didn't actually think he had any of Mitchum's money in the business - I thought it was from his trust fund and other investors only - I must have missed something.

I was also surprised that there was apparently a few week time lapse between the last episode and this one - and a bit surprised that Logan didn't tell Rory about it for weeks and then told her and was leaving to Vegas in an hour. No wonder she seemed a bit stunned.

Jason I know the whole show is not about L&L, I was just asking about the Lorelai SL, DSR said they were on this frakken journey and their paths would cross, I just wonder when that will happen, romantically?

Especially since Rory has been telling him if she as much as forgets to look both ways before crossing the street. I'm sure he'll be straightened out soon.

The episode description says Rory fights with Logan over his immature reaction to the business deal, so presumably we do know what she thinks. It makes more sense to me in the overall picture, that the fight is about Rory siding with his dad in a negative way over his immature behavior, especially since we got the whole "We're a team" spiel last week from Mitchum. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

Damsel, I could be incorrect. My bad. I will go with the episode description being a bit out of whack. But again, I apologize to you, if that came across way too dicky.

Craig, seriously, I was not casting aspersions on you thinking that LL are the entire show. Seriously? Seriously, brah. Seriously. He lost the love of his life. HE almost lost his daughter. He is slowly realize that he sunk, and now he is rising to the surface. Once he gets back to the surface. He will be as quippy as you need him to be. I have no idea why Luke has to be quippy and what not. Luke has never been a better character. Any evidence to the contrary is evidence that is not admissible unless Bud Selig says so. Say so Bud? "NAH." Sorry Clmorrow, he's a pisser.

You are giddy because you have come to an understanding that I AM NOT CRAZY in terms of the whole "EVERYTHING WILL BE FINE IN GILMORE GIRLS LAND"-thing. Congratulations. The t-shirt is in the mail...figuratively.

I agree. I almost wonder if it's a calm before the storm...I mean, I know Luke is content and happy and finding himself in his relationship with April, BUT I have to wonder if in 7.18, it's going to be an explosion of emotions in the apology scene. I wonder if he's been so dormant (and I don't mean this in a bad way, because I LOVE who Luke has become this season) because the writers are preparing us for the rant of the season in that episode. I'd very much like that.

Okay, only halfway through, but I am loving this episode!

Jason well Luke has always been the strait guy to the funny Lorelai, I'll hope to judge for my self in about 16 hours about this weeks ep.

love the girls road trip but nothing on the reason?

Aslo no musical GS, guess we were wrong unless they were cut 'cause Bono couldn't make it

That's what I was thinking too. She was frustrated that he was going off with Colin and Finn and that he hadn't told her about the business stuff.

They are just dragging out the whole L&L thing which is frustrating!

Other shows would have had the sorry stuff outside Miss Patty's but we have to wait till after the break!

Question - was Lorelai still wearing the ring tonight?
