I agree Wayne, it will be clear why Rory agrees with Mitchum. I am sure Logan will get pretty pissed at that at first, seeing what kind of mood/state he is. But yep, all that matters is if he will realise some things later on ... and him going after Rory to apologize and the ep in the Hay, shows to me he will snap out of it soon! And will set things straight, including what he wants to do, nice and fast!

Leonana, I am speccing we will see the first true Luke rant again when he is talking to Lorelai or with her around again in a more 'old-fashioned' way (diner or townmeeting). This in a way will be a clear sign that they do feel comfortable together again. Either that or he will deliver a rant that will convince Lorelai they should try again. I am thinking Lorelai will end up being the one that feels 'unworthy' of trying again with him. I dunno why but the look she had on her face when Luke said, "things change" sort of made me feel that way even more. He will convince her that sure some things changed, but not all things

Totally, Babs! I think Rory's going to pull some version of Logan's "you love school" from N&IL, but they're a much more established couple at this point, so she's going to be more firm, more open. Likely using her own over reaction to Mitchum as an example. And he's still pissy and is going to freak out on her since his father isn't really an option. You tend to go off on those that you know love you most, even if you don't really mean it, because you know they love you. Kinda a combo of that and what she said last night to him. And in the end he's going to realize she's right. It's not the end of the world, how he's looking at it. And how she reacted at the end of S5. It's a set back, it's a learning experience.

Not sure how we get to him quitting. Though Mitchum's being an ass, as usual. But I love Mitchum's assyness.

Oh, and I liked hearing some subtle snark from Luke in the other one. Or at least I think it was subtle snark. More than a rant I would like a quip or some snark from him. So I'll take it!

Zach serves Kirk a sandwich. Kirk complains that the juice from the pickle contaminated the grilled cheese and that Lane is a better waitress because she has a system for containing it. Luke then asks Zach how Lane is doing. Zach says that she's expecting any minute then. Zach asks Luke to come to dinner with Lane and him tomorrow night and that Zach was supposed to ask a while ago so Luke can't back out at the last minute.

This is my (very, very hopeful) spec as well. I want the apology scene to be very emotional, and emotional for Luke usually means raising his voice and doing a lot of pointing and shaking. I'd love to see this. As I've said before, I'd love for the apologies in 7.18 to be initiated by an argument. LG and SP would pull this off so well.

The best part about this spec is that after last night's episode, I actually have HOPE that it could come true! I'm so impressed by DR! YAY for positive feelings all around the MT.

[Mitchum comes in and checks the phone]

MITCHUM: So it does work, and I can assume you can get cell phone reception where ever the hell you’ve been!

KIRK: Look a little closer my friend and you’ll see that the juice from the pickles has leached over to the grilled cheese. Rendering it sodden and inedible.

ZACH: Well…

KIRK: I don’t remember ordering grilled cheese au jus.

ZACH: Pickles have juice dude, it’s like a main law of nature.

KIRK: Ah but that’s where Lane knew how to prevent this culinary catastrophe. Prier to serving the dish she would use the French fries to build a tiny damn…

ZACH: Dude, I get it!

LUKE: It’s all going to that same place inside that dark strange body of yours Kirk, now eat it. [Kirk starts eating, like a kid that was told off]

ZACH: Lanes right you rock as a boss.

LUKE: Yeah, how’s she doing.

ZACH: Ah dude she is about ready to burst.

LUKE: OH yeah.

ZACH: Yeah she’s like a large piñata dude, just waiting for some kid to take a mallet to her stomach and free all the goodies inside.

LUKE: I’m thinking a doctor might be a better way to go.

ZACH: Oh hey I almost forgot, Lane and I would like to have you over for dinner.

LUKE: OH yeah that sounds great, we should do that.

ZACH: Great, so hows tomorrow, 8:30?

LUKE: Tomorrow I don’t know if tomorrow…

ZACH: Okay here’s the thing. Lane asked me to ask you about tomorrow like a long time ago and I kinda forgot, so she’d be pretty mad if you cancelled at the last minute.

LUKE: Yeah I’m not cancelling I’ve not accepted.

ZACH: Well let’s not get into semantics it would just be a bummer if you bailed ‘cause she’s been cooking for like 2 days.

LUKE: Okay yeah tomorrow night that sounds fine.

ZACH: Great I hope you like curry, ‘cause Lane’s gone curry crazy.

LUKE: I’m not big on curry.

ZACH: Oh well maybe you can pick around it?

Anyone else wanted Lorelai to walk in and give Luke a hug
