And I would give this episode an A as well, although I have 20 minutes left. I can't understand how people didn't like it -- I think it's fantastic!

Not to be crude...but AB showing cleavage is a new thing, right?

ETA: Two hours after it aired and no one mentioned that Emily puts her arm on Lorelai's shoulder?!??! LOVED IT!!!

Logan put up his own money and got backers for the rest. Mitchum turned the idea down. I think the whole point of Lorelai's conversation with her mother about incorporating to protect your personal assests was to set up this story-line of Logan's. This business venture seems to be a pretty big arc that will have ramifications over several episodes. When Phillip breaks the news to Logan he says that the people were just waiting for someone with "deep pockets" to buy the company so they could sue them. It will be interesting to see how it all plays out.

I don't think it's really new, so much as, "Wow, that is way more Rory than I ever expected to see!" I thought she looked great though. I am sure the boys would agree.

I concur.

I also think Mitchum's "story" about the chef that "quit being sous chef to open his own sucessful restaurant" was an "anvil" to the "Logan quits" spoiler.

I'm not buying the RL "troubles ahead" theory. I loved them in this episode, and I shall continue to compare every boy I meet to Logan

I just wanted to hug Luke when he was in bed.

And the last scene hurt my heart...why the writers felt the need to COMPLETELY snap Emily back into cold-mode is something I don't understand. Couldn't there have been a teeny tiny bit of warmth? Especially if they plan on ending the show this season? Nevertheless, the "thanks mom" very much satisfied me!

I loved the promo for next week. Stars Hollow chaos! (So, Luke and Lorelai will both be in attendance at the baby shower??)

That's all for my random thoughts.

TA but they're finally getting a storyline - at least Logan is. I'm mixed between expecting to get interested next week and feeling like Rory already did this last year.

Minor quibble: If Logan only took one year off with Colin and Finn, shouldn't he be turning 24 now not 25? Although 25 is the typical age to get one's hands on the capital in a trust fund.
