I don't understand why Beverly Mitchell would be privy to all the details of the negotiations. It doesn't make sense.

It seems silly to me to be judging actors based on the probably miniscule piece of the puzzle that we know anything about. Sure, we can and will speculate. But to completely write them off as selfish or jerks when we definitely don't have all, or most, of the information seems unneccessary.

Luke, of course. He is likely Lane's doula.

I was thinking about that too, Sandlynn.

Does he help Lorelai and Rory to get there?

But then again, how is he going to do that?

OMG people... Lorelai and Rory are on a roadtrip

Luke and Lane and her family are in SH..

Luke will likely not be interacting with the girls.

It's not clear that Lorelai and Rory are back from their trip and they can drive, take taxis, buses, trains, planes.... I also assume that Zach and Mrs. Kim can drive. (I know we've seen Mrs. Kim behind the wheel and I'm sure Zach must have a license.) Help, to me, means that people can't drive themselves or borrow a helicopter.

According to IMdB, Vanessa Marano is listed for Will You Be My Lorelai Gilmore.

Then I have no idea who he could help get there.

I would doubt she's privy to anything outside of the gossip around the lot. It would make little sense that she would.

Personally, I don't blame KAB or LG for holding out for as much money as they can get. This is the first time they are negotiating after having given Warners 7 years of labor on a show that has become a money maker for them. They should get what they can. It's a business transaction. The writers guild will be doing the same exact thing in the fall when their contract expires. Should they take into account the fact that everyone that works in the industry is affected by if they strike or not? No, it is a matter of self interest and getting what the market will bear, not what we as people that don't work in that industry think is fair. If they don't get an equitable agreement before the October deadline they will strike, and every production of a scripted show or movie will shutdown because of it. In the case of KAB & LG or SP or any of the other actors, holding out doesn't affect nearly as many people as the impending writers strike. Camera men, grips, lighting people, craft service, set dressers, etc., etc., all work for Warners and will have jobs come August no matter when or if Gilmore Girls comes back. The two lead actresses on this show should do the same, get what the market will bear in this their first time negotiating with the studio that has employed them as free agents. If the studio thinks the show is worth it, they will pay them. If not, it's the end.

I say bring on the strike its about time they stopped getting treated as shabbily as they do. The technicians and crew too. Let them all strike. Those studios deserve to learn that undervaluing behind the scenes people doesn't pay.

Speaking of Beverly, they're playing the episode on ABC Fam where they all sit Mary down and have the uber-dramatic "talk"...I believe that episode marked the downfall of 7th Heaven.

Maybe Lane, Zack and Mrs Kim are the 'everyone' they refer to. Maybe Mr Kim is off with the family car, and do Lane and Zack even have a car? The VW bus was Gil's wasn't it? Or maybe they're all just flapping like headless chickens, not fit to drive. Sounds like it'll be pretty slapstick, if the shower's any indication. I just hope we don't have screaming Lane giving birth, I might start throwing inanimate objects.

I don't know who is Steve. But as for the "network" calling AB "stupid and not a great actress", he's talking about whom? Dawn Ostroff, David Rosenthal, Lauren Graham, Scott Patterson, Kelly Bishop?

Did AB say that she wants to leave the show to invest in her career as an actress? Or if maybe she agrees with everyone and decided to invest in another career?

And if AB is the only one not on board and the "network" doesn't have a great opinion about her, what is stopping "Plan B"?

I don't think you are trying to offend anyone. I'm only replying to the content of your post.
