Ok, thanks. When I went back and reread it, I saw it both ways and confused myself.

Of course they should get the best deal possible. My friend (MF) is very pissed Warner Brothers and the CW because they did not start the negotiations sooner and feels they should be held responsible for much of the tension and uncertainty that permeates the set today.

Though, the studio waited until recently to start the negotiations with LG and AB. the girls are now appear to be the ones stalling. MF knows that this is a common tactic that is used in contract negotiations and is effective. Unfortunately, the repercussion for the rest of the cast and crew is it leaves them in a precarious position.
If WB delayed the start of negotiations to try and rush a decision from LG and AB, then as you say the responsibility for uncertainty rests with the studios, not LG and AB. No doubt they're both aware the cast and crew are hanging, but it shouldn't influence their decision, and I don't think they should be judged negatively for taking their time. Everyone has a responsibility to themselves first and foremost, and shouldn't leave their futures riding on the decisions of others -- jump ship or stay, that's ultimately up to them. That's how I see it anyway -- it's business, leave the emotional stuff out of it. *shrug*

MF is hoping that the angst of the fans will act as a catalyst to bring a close to this stalemate before we loose some of the rest of the cast like SP.
So it is what I thought. Thanks for answering.

What for?
I was a doubting Thomas yesterday (posts # 202 and # 211).
I stay a doubting Thomas today also, especially after reading this.

they are actors yes and they are artistic and their art is entertaining me immensely they have a talent i don't have

they have actions and drama i appreciate and i think they are worth every penny -
WEll without the writers and technicians, we couldn't watch GG. That is why the writers are all so ticked off now. Because actors just get thrown producer credits for putting in zero work on the production end of things outside of their usual acting jobs. So, while actors wait around during filming, techinicians are busy doing a lot of things as are the PA, the writers and other producers. Its time they stopped crapping all over the writers

Its nothing we didn't already know but I'm not trying to upset AB fans. I'm just conveying the network's opinion.
Thanks for the info.

Did Beverly Mitchell say that AB is stupid and not a great actress? Or did she say that other people are saying that?

Those are strong words for an actress say about other.

All of these actors need to **** or get off the pot...whether its ab, lg, or sp. I don't care. They are putting the work of many many other people in jeopardy. Its not just about money anymore, its about the future of the show and therefore the future employment of a lot of people. There's a time to think about yourself and a time to stop being cruel. I don't know whats true but I certainly hope that ab and lg aren't delaying and in fact have made a decision but we just don't know about it yet.

I understand the writers being annoyed but do we know if Lauren does more work now to earn the producer credit?

Anyone else want to see Lauren, Alexis, Scott or others to direct an ep if we get S8?

Do you need the official description for "Gilmore Girls Only"?

"GILMORE GIRLS" - (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET)

"Gilmore Girls Only" (Content Rating TBD) (HDTV)

LORELAI, RORY AND EMILY TAKE A ROAD TRIP / KATHY BAKER ("PICKET FENCES") GUEST STARS / LANE GIVES BIRTH TO TWINS ?? Lorelai (Lauren Graham) plans a road trip to North Carolina to attend the wedding of Mia (guest star Kathy Baker), the woman who took in Lorelai and Rory (Alexis Bledel) and served as a surrogate mother/grandmother for many years. Rory has a fight with Logan (Matt Czuchry) over his immature reaction to his business disaster, and agrees to go on the trip with Lorelai. Emily (Kelly Bishop) invites herself along in an effort to get away from Richard (Edward Herrmann), who is driving her crazy while he recuperates at home. At the wedding, Emily is upset by the close relationship Mia shares with Lorelai and Rory. Lorelai learns that Emily came to see Mia five years earlier to ask for pictures of Lorelai and Rory during the years they were estranged. Logan makes a surprise appearance and asks Rory to forgive him. Meanwhile, Lane (Keiko Agena) and Zack (Todd Lowe) ask Luke (Scott Patterson) to be the godfather to their twins. Finally, Lane goes into labor and Luke helps get everyone to the hospital. Sean Gunn also stars. Lee Shallat Chemel directed the episode written by David Babcock (#2T7767).
