With all due respect to the reports I think we are still missing something with the whole season 8 negotiations, the WB went through this last season and ASP/DP call their bluff and walked, can they of the CW afford to lose one of their top shows?
Obviously we're missing something. I think we only know a tiny sliver about what's going on in the negotiations. They're never going to tell the whole story.

Craig, that's the thing...THEY CANNOT LOSE THIS SHOW. Reality shows run out of steam at some point. Kevin Williamson has not had a hit in a while. Most of the shows on that network are hold-overs that people are VERY LOYAL TOO. So, I wonder, if and when, the CW will be able to let ANY of their old shows go. Since they ****ed up with Runaway, and it's a safe bet they will make a similarly stupid decision again.

according to the rumors VM is not going into another season - so they would lose GG AND VM - 2 leading forces on CW -> I don't think that they could afford that especially not at the same time!

One exception Jason is AI which seems to be doing okay still, but I get your point.

If the CW had half a brain they would have also bought back Everwood, even if it was only for 13 eps to start with, then at the worst they would have had a good summer show.

I also wonder if they don't get GG where does that leave VM, another great show which for what ever reason is getting killed in the ratings!

ETA - I hate the rumours about VM

Yep can't kill that show, God would never let them LOL

BTW why is it the ONLY drama on the CW that is NOT in HDTV format, I mean the new TV in the CS would be totally wasted on that show for the girl to mock!

Maybe they just figure that people have already seen more than enough of the Camden household..No need to see details..

Yay to possible Logan/Rory break-up.
Boo to another actress playing Mia.
Yay to the Gilmore girls' road trip.

I do not believe for a minute that Lauren would ever do the show without Alexis, and a Roryless show would just be meaningless.

There is not going to be a Roryless season. There was one report from MA(not the most reliable source anyway) about a Rory-lite season. That's it. I don't know where this "no Rory" nonsense comes from. LG won't do the show without AB.

I agree, from all reports Lauren will not do a Roryless season but a Rorylite season is another question, re have not heard anything about her feelings on that and we probably never will.

Okay, thank you for commenting on my nonsense. That was sweet. Yes, I have read every report from MA, and I know what he said. In my mind, limited Rory appearances phoning in or whatever would be the same as not being there at all. Maybe I should have worded it like this: A show centered around Lorelai and the town would be boring. A show centered around L/L would be boring
