It just shows, that Rory has not "broken" him, like he already said .
However, a trip to LV with his buddies might be a cause of concern for Rory (remembering Costa Rica) but it is in no case reason for a breakup, imo.

People have to blow of steam once in a while, and a guy trip to Las Vegas is not as bad.

Fortunately, as of last week, I'm emotionally invested in L/L again, which I hadn't really been since 7.01.

The only big deal for me is that we won't see Colin and Finn and I miss them.

Those three were written as best friends. I understand that they did youngful stupid things together in the past, but that shouldn't be enough to just make Colin/Finn the prospect of hell. Nor to delet any past friend from Logan's life and make him hang out only with people related to Rory.

They were loyal to Logan and to Rory after Logan's accident. They helped Rory to move out of the Gilmore's mansion in season 6. And who says that they don't have job now like Logan and can't help him to feel better after his business problems.

I hate that they'll be trashed and I won't even see them.

Sandlynn,

I don't think that meeting Colin and Finn is the problem. It might be that to Rory thinks it's irresponsible that he is off "blowing off steam" and going to Las Vegas (in order to forget about everything that's happened) when she thinks he should be dealing with it.

But then again, I think she should be a little bit more "understanding".

Blowing off steam with his friends is maybe just what he need after all that's happened. He can't be "perfect" all the time. Let him get a drink after losing all that money.

And I miss seeing Finn.

I miss Finn too, and they are his friends, I can't see the problem about he having some fun, then he is not going to play pocker or have a drink anymore because he belongs to Rory Gilmore?... that is too much

DS is not listed in the CW's official episode description and Christopher is not mentioned by name - it just says Lorelai tells Emily that her marriage is over. Episode description rewrites from other places added Christopher's name. So we could well strike lucky next week.

I agree. I can't believe he can't have fun anymore. Look at Paris and Rory, bellydancing and tray sledding! In any event, we'll see how it's presented and what Rory is afraid is happening. Maybe that she won't ever get serious, responsible Logan back? Frankly, I don't want to see all of the fun beaten out of Logan.

Exactly. That was what made Logan the charachter I loved the most of all Rory's love interest. He was smart, fun and showed Rory a whole new world.

This season, well at least I think, he has been boring.
Sure, he started working and yes, he got responsible. And that's all good.

But haven't they taken this "perfect Logan" a little bit too far?

And the one time this season he does go out, with his old friends,
they make it into such a bad thing.

IMO Rory should be a bit "understanding". Seeing as her response to a bad critic by Mr. Huntzberger. I think all the TA crush and the whole "we have broken them" forshadows what's ahead for Logan and Rory. I really feel like they truely love one another but issues in each others lives and moving ahead after graduation may effect their relationship. Logan is just a year out from graduating college (yes his dad has been grooming him for years) but he was somewhat thrown into the business world and everyone has to make mistakes and grow.

I have really started enjoying the last few episodes... I feel like the abscense of the SH townspeople hurt the first half of the season. Throughout the series ASP was able to tell a story while including SH as a backdrop and adding just enough quirkyness without taking away from the central story of the relationship between the Gilmore Girls (Emily and Richard included). I am glad to hear the spoilers of Emily and her feelings about Mia things are being addressed that this series was founded on. I know alot of people watch for the relationships of Rory and Lorelia but honestly the family dynamics and friendships have been portrayed better and more honestly than the romantic relationships. I think what made us love L/L so much is how they built from a friendship. I think the R/L relationship has been done well also and I like Logan and see parallels with Chris and Lorelia in his character.

I hope that there is a season8. If not I think they will be able to tie things up with both Lorelia and Rory single. Issues with Emily somewhat resolved and L/L once again best friends with the tension that has always been there still there and leading you to believe that they will end up together just like we have all seen since the beginning. It can be done without being actually shown(no matter how bad we want to see it). Rory and Logan will keep things open and work on their individual lives. I think if it ends this year it could be done classy I hope it is.

Maybe Rory is seeing blowing off steam as running away/abandonment. Perhaps she is sensitive to it after her dad's "needing time to think." She could just be reacting negatively because she is comparing it to Christopher's behavior.

I see Lorelai and Rory ending single if this isn't the last season, because the writers could leave season 8 to rebuilt their romantic lives. If there is no season 8, I think they will wrap the show with both girls in a relationship.

We already have spoilers from Ausiello that in 7.18 LL will talk. And sides for the same episode - post Colin/Finn/Vegas/failure debacle - show RL happy together. So I don't see a break up for them in the near future, except if the writers bring something new in 7.19 or 7.20...

Could definitely be the case, Spikette. I am more tending to think that this does remind her of the Costa Rica bit of business and him ending up in that hospital. But of course this could all be a combination of things. I definitely thought Rory sort of freaked out a little after Logan showed he was so there for her in IRBIP, because she had never experienced this before from a male and definitely not from her dad. The attention solely focused on her and how she was feeling.

In general a nice weekend out with some friends (and yeah I would have loved to see those two again too!) shouldn't be a problem. Rory and her associating this to old behaviour from Logan sort of makes her freak I think. I do hope Logan will go to LV ... and will show she does not have him whipped (is this the right way to say it? Well whatever ...). He has shown he can be trusted and is all in, I feel she should trust him also. I do wonder though why he comes back later to apologize ... I hope he doesn't apologize for actually going, but maybe more for the way they left things before he left. There probably was some discussion/fight about this ...

According to ep. sumaries, Logan goes to LV in 7.16 and RL also fight in 7.17, before Rory decides to travel with Lorelai. So probably Logan will apologize for something said during this latter fight, not just his trip.
