So what Sassy is saying is that Scott does not have a contract for a season 8. He has voiced an interest, but if they don't approach him, then he is free to pursue other things. I guess it is the same for everyone else, right?

I would think that AB should really decide one way or the other asap. The longer this goes on, the more I think that maybe she is holding out for a much bigger paycheck. If she really wasn't interested in another season then she should just say so.

The problem, as I understand it, with what you're saying is that the CW is not the one that they are negotiating with. It's Warner Bros. The CW buys the show wholecloth from Warners. Warners played hardball last season with the SherPas, and they walked. Who knows what they're doing with LG & KAB.

If this is still about my post, I got what Sassy was saying. I only asked about Scott's contract because we had an old information saying that when he signed for season 7 it was included an option for a season 8. That's all.

Well I think if Rory walks for the whole season then there is not S8, same with Lauren, but a limited run for Rory may be okay, the same could happen with Luke. With the lack of L&L contact this season I could see Luke not there of some eps, but then what GG with Lauren in EVERY scene. As a Lorelai mark I like that but I doubt it would fly for the actors or fans in general. People want Rory & Logan, and Luke & Lorelai if you take out 2/3rds of that then you may lose half the audience. Plue Lauren has already complained about the long hours.

No the CW is not in the negotiations but as a partner with a vested interest is having a show that rates they will have a say in what they buy from the WB, If the WB does not offer a good product then the CW with not want it and it won't get made.

Maybe she's holding out to get rid of the competition for her screentime this season!

i think it's the Craig is in love with Lauren Graham equation and is willing to put up with just about anything on his screen just so he can see her. Except for maybe DS.

Well, of course, if Warners negotiates for a less than stellar version of the show the CW doesn't have to buy it. But unlike those of you that thought Plan B was peachy keen, and while I might not be a L/L shipper, I don't want to lose Lorelai or Luke. To me, especially for a show that has as small of an audience as this one does, and on a fledgling network to boot, needs it's entire fanbase, no matter for what reason they tune in for. Maybe Stars Hollow & Lorelai and/or Luke aren't my favorites, but they're part of the show I fell in love with, essential parts. Just as I view my personal favorite parts, Rory, Richard, Logan, Emily, Paris and all the parts that revolve around Rory. None of those are non essential, to me.

Anyway, I want a S8, and I'm going to be optimistic about it. The show has just improved in quality, and I don't want to lose that now! I want to see L/L married, Lorelai pregnant, dealing with R/E and the townies, and Rory working at her job in New York, with Logan, married or not. I want it all, darn it!

I think this has gone on long enough. Your trying to convince AB, knowing that she's probably not interested in doing another season, and frustrating the rest of the cast and crew about the future of the show. Come on! Why wait and punish them, it's ridiculous? If they can't negotiate for an eighth season, this should be the last. The longer they wait, it leaves a bad taste in everybody's mouth.

SP does have a right to pursue other work. We know SP is very loyal and dedicated to this show, no doubt about it. If he had a contract right in front of him at this minute, he would sign it. It was hard to here that he hasn't been approached, and if he was, he was brushed off because their waiting on LG and AB to sign. I want SP to be there for the eighth season, if there is one. It would break my heart and the rest of GG fans everywhere if Luke is gone. I would not watch the show, and bringing back Chris would be just horrible. It would be a spit in the face to us all.

All I have to say is, I hope they come to a resolution soon to clear things up. If it's time to move on, let this show go out gracefully with dignity and class with all the characters, not only 1 or 2. It's not fair to them and the fans who've loved this show for so many years.

Damsel, again, the romances have been a part of the show for a while. Excuse me for not feeling you are playing that old JJ Chesnutt entitled; "Why cant Rory be like she used to be?" The romances are important. If they were not. Amy and Dan would not have stirred the show in this direction.

That aside, Leoanna, because SAYING NO is definite position. By not saying no, Kim and Lauren have put themselves in a stronger position. They may want to do the show. However, they want to get paid. Again, they paid Steven Collins, a ridiculous amount of money for a show that's not as solid a performer worldwide or on ancillaries. Warners needs to pay. For one last year, they need to pay to give this show a proper ending. If not, then, **** them and their cheap attitude.

One last thing; Rory and Logan poster? Nice. It does not reveal they are proposing. HUZZAH!

Having no Luke would be just one step behind no Rory in season 8 and after this week bring back Chris would be a total waste of what we have just been through!
