Or Rory ticks Logan off, argument, pouting, make-up, kissy-kissy, end of story. Or Rory develops instant crush on nerdy TA, stammers, blushes profusely, daydreams & Googles, plays true confessions, kissy-kissy, end of story. And coming up, Rory gets in a snit over Logan going to Vegas, takes off in a huff, Logan follows to make-up, kissy-kissy, end of story. There's hardly been anything ongoing, just these these little one-shot mini-dramas that I'm not finding interesting, and Paris's dry erase boards that Rory has little tolerance for.
Those things you just summed up (you definitely experienced/saw these things differently ) imo do show they are working on things and are actually working them out. I do agree I would want to see Rory be the one with some more conviction about the two of them, but I am thinking that will be shown soon.

What we saw with Lorelai/Luke in season 6. Didn't most of us wanted them on plenty of occasion to do what Logan/Rory did do. Sure different situations, but definitely some similarities.

We had Lorelai/Luke in AVV and Lorelai wanted Luke to be more in the Valentine mood instead of the complaining mood. How pleased were most of us, well I was, that they did kiss and make up. But then they came home and things went back to the same. And I really did want Lorelai to speak up in the diner instead of looking defeated and not say anything. And they maybe could have ended up that scene with a kiss instead of Lorelai walking back to the CS alone in the cold. Lorelai did have a problem with the travel bag that Anna gave to Luke ... but she didn't 'whine' like you said Rory did. If she would have spoken up and really said how she felt, some things might also have gotten addressed AND resolved. There were so many occasions in Season 6 between L/L that were basically little moments that could have been been ended with some kisses and making up. After some speaking up and Lorelai feeling better for speaking up and Luke actually knowing there was a problem. Those things and not resolving them can lead to bigger Issues and well some nice explosions and feelings of completely being defeated as I believe Lorelai was near the end of Season 6. So I for one am glad that Rory did speak up, even though she did admit she was sort of being petty on occasion. By speaking up and actually giving Logan a chance to react, they also get the possibilitly to work out some things TOGETHER, something that severely lacked when Lorelai/Luke were together in Season 6 ... and I believe lead to the end of the engagement the way it did. Messy ...

So I guess that is how I see it ... now back to bed after taken a couple of Advils

Later!

i've always heard SP say he wouldn't mind doing a season 8, personally i would like one more season but i wouldn't want a season 8 without SP.

He is in I don't buy the stuff about him saying No because he wants more money. He signed his contract for season 7 and that contact already included stuff for an 8. season. I'm not worried about about Lauren or Scott - they are up for it.

This may be a silly question, but Scott can accept another role in a new project without the green light from the CW or the executives of GG? We were told that his contract is already set for another year. Or there was a deadline for the CW to confirm interest in have him for the extra year?
As far as getting a pilot when you are under contract with another show, I can give you an example if you like.

Milo was under contract for the Bedford Diaries last year when he did the pilot for Heroes. He was considered in second place for Heroes at that time. Since BD was not picked up, he moved into first positions for Heroes. If BD had been picked up then he would have had to pass on Heroes. Lucky for him (and us) BD was not picked up.

The same could be said for anyone on GG. If SP has a pilot right now but it under contract for GG then he is in second position for the pilot. Once the decision is made for GG, then his status on the pilot is determined. Another thing to take into consideration is the new show (pilot) also has to be picked up for the new season. Otherwise, he could be out of a job anyway if GG is canceled and the pilot doesn't get picked up.

Don't we even have examples from GG?

Two examples that come to mind:
Alex Burstein was cast as Sookie (she's in the unaired pilot), but had a commitment to another show, which was picked up, so they had to recast Sookie.
And LG was also tied to another show when she did the GG pilot, but fortunately the other show didn't make it, so she remained on GG.

Don't get me wrong, it's not Rory & Logan's relationship I'm taking issue with, but rather that it's pretty much all there's been for Rory this season. Add a little fluff with Lucy and Olivia, some insipid drama with Marty, and a brief bout of senioritis, and that's Rory's story in a nutshell so far. I always watched for Lorelai & Rory and the family dynamic, with the relationship stuff secondary, so between the C/L marathon and Rory's non-existent storyline, I haven't found this season all that interesting.

And I do agree with you on the Luke and Lorelai stuff. I hated how they were written last year.

Thanks. My main question was if there is a deadline for the WB or the CW inform Scott Paterson that he is free or not to commit himself to another project, not just a pilot. In other words: if GG comes back, he is free to not come back too if he doesn't want to?

FYI - I posted my recap of my lunch with Scott on the Fan Forum Luke/Lorelai Analysis & Speculation #338 thread. Here's the link if anyone wants to read it.

(Sorry, I tend to be a little long winded.)

Oh, and according to my source, Scott is not under any contract for next season. Apparently, he felt it was the 'right' thing to do when he notified the executives of the network that he was interested in doing some pilots (and, I am sure, he was hoping to get them to show some interest in having him in a season eight). Obviously, he would perfer to do an eight season of GG if they make him a reasonable offer.

Anything else interesting from SP?
It will be the Lauren Graham Show (Which as a LG mark I wouldn't mind LOL) so we have Lorelai with Emily and Richard all the time, Geez no wonder Luke moved to NM if the is on Rory buffer, run Luke run!

OT - the next ep SPEC, with what we know maybe the Jeep scene in the promo is the teaser, on the way to an early FND 'cause of Richard needing to get to bed early, then we have the FND after the credits, later we have Lorelai dropping of the drugs as in the DCC and maybe when Richard goes to watch his golf the girls get into the scotch?

ETA - Shanti70 also Lauren had a similar thing with the show she did right before landing GG, it wasn't picked up so got the Lorelai part.

Nah, SP is in. AB is our only worry, it's really in her hands at this point... Hmmm do you think she will fall under co-star pressure or better yet, CIP-pressure? Who needs peer-pressure when there's a whole forum waiting to convince her

Sorry but no he is not. As of today, no one from Warner Bros or the CW network has approached Scott's lawyer about an 8th season. My source was very definite about that and I believe this source to be reliable.

Scott lead me to believe when I spoke with him last week that he would love to do another season if there is one. Obviously, that is assuming that the network offers him a reasonable contract but he never mentioned anything about the status of his contract negotiationswith me (big surprise that he didn't confide in a perfect stranger).

My friend is worried that they will loose Scott to another project.

Of course, you don't know me and obviously you don't know my source so YMMV.

Thanks, Cappu. It would be great to have an upload too. YouTube never works for everyone.
