[Door bell rings]

RICHARD: Soup and salad is not a meal.

EMILY: We have salmon if you want salmon.

RICHARD: I don’t want salmon, for heavens sakes I don’t want salmon, what I would like is a proper meal.

[Door bell again rings]

EMILY: Aurora the door.

STEPHAN: I was given certain dietary parameters.

RICHARD: [Angry] I know that, I’m not stupid, I know what the situation is here.

[Door bell again rings]

STEPHAN: I just don’t know if I can…

EMILY: [shouting] Francera, Aurora, either of you, both of you will someone answer the door. [quieter] I’m sure Stephan is interested in you input Richard.

RICHARD: Well here is my input, this food is in eatable.

[Door bell again rings]

EMILY: Fine I’ll get it myself, that is my job.

STEPHAN: suggestion, maybe you would prefer some light sandwiches.

RICHARD: Sandwiches!

[at the front door]

LORELAI: Hi come bearing drugs.

EMILY: Please don’t bellow that.

LORELAI: Bellow what [louder] “Drugs”

EMILY: Lorelai.

LORELAI: How’s dad doing.

EMILY: He’s just fine.

RICHARD: [heard from the other room] I swear you can get better food in an airplane, I haven’t been in a submarine but I’d wager the food is better there too.

EMILY: It’s an adjustment.

LORELAI: Hmm

DINNING ROOM
[The girls enter]

STEPHAN: Let me offer one more suggestion.

RICHARD: What tacos?!

STEPHAN: No I quit!

RICHARD: Fine.

EMILY: Stephan no.

STEPHAN: I’ll tell you something, I have worked in so many four star restaurants I could have my own constellation. And yet I’m treated like this, I’m sorry but I have to much self respect to work for this terror. [throws his apron on the floor and storms out.]

LORELAI: How things going around here

EMILY AND RICHARD: Fine.

LORELAI: Feeling okay dad?

RICHARD: I’m fine, now if you’ll excuse me I thing I’m gonna go watch Bob Tway (sp) vanquish Greg Norman in the 86 PGA championship.

EMILY: Oh before you go did you manage to call Rod Mandel’s office.

RICHARD: No

EMILY: But Angelic called 3 times this morning.

RICHARD: Bully for her, I’m sorry I have golf to watch.

EMILY: But Richard you didn’t eat a thing. He didn’t eat a thing.

LORELAI: Well send something up to him.

EMILY: Send what you just saw yourself Stephan just quite.

LORELAI: You could make him something [Emily give Lorelai a look] I mean the maid could, what is her name.

EMILY: Oh I don’t know, Aurora I think. I don’t know anyway she’s hiding apparently, [looking] Aurora.

The name of 7.16 is Will You Be My Lorelai Gilmore. That's where it comes from, and the fact that in 18 he's with Rory in Stars Hollow bonding with Lorelai. I don't expect anything to be alluded to in episode descriptions.

Huh? Did you even read my post? While you can think of them what you like, I found the romantic relationship of Lorelai & Luke to be tedious, and uninteresting, to each their own, that's why there are different characters, ships and such. Rory & Logan along with Emily & Richard are my cup of tea, L/L haven't been.

But there's obviously not an engagement in 16. If it happens it would be at the end of 17. 18 is in Stars Hollow. The earliest anything Gilmorian/Huntzberger related would happen is 19. Which frankly is almost the end of the season.

I think the way RL's relationship was written in 7.13-7.14 and the title for 7.16 ("Will you be my Lorelai Gilmore?") are what lead to spec about a proposal. If it's true what AA said about LL reconciling somewhat in 7.18, makes easier to think that the "Lorelai Gilmore" could be Rory. But of course, this is also a wishful thinking.

Sassy that's not sounding good with Scott, I mean if Luke's not there then this is not Stars Hollow and not Gilmore Girls, what does Chris come back for another go. Then main reason a lot of fan (not all) are sticking around is to see L&L hook up again and is there is S8 without Luke then IMO it's almost as bad and NO Rory. I mean if he has another job there is not even the chance of a part time thing like was being talked about with Alexis. And if we are to have our happy ending with L&L we can't just marry them off then he vanishes from the screen for weeks on end, it would make less sense than Rory going off to NYC or something. JMO

Uh no. Sorry. That's not the answer we were looking for. Posey was just in a huge action film, and most likely will be in another. Outside of being the scene-stealer in everyone of Chris Guest's films. She can still get movie work. What you are using Sandlynn, is an old paradigm. The paradigm has changed. TV work is not only more respected now. It's damn near common knowledge that TV producers better quality product then films have in the last 10 years. She can get work. She is just choosing to work with one of the most respected and talented people in the business. Don't go giving the bad mouth to Parker. That's a line...one hell of a line.

Yes, I did. You said there's potential for something other than getting married and gazing fondly into each other's eyes. Great, Logan has an episode and a half of dramatic material coming up, but it's nothing meaty (again) for Rory, since all she can really do is be there and offer tea and sympathy. Then it seems she has a hissy because he wants to go blow off steam with his buddies, she takes off in a huff to go on a road trip with her mom, and he has to follow her to apologize -- and they go right back to the schmoop. All of which is in keeping with the rest of the fluff Rory's had this season.

I like Rory, and I wish they'd give her better storylines.

Well I happen to like a mature couple who deals with their issues head on that's why I love R/L this year with the exception of the Marty storyline
