Yeah when I heard her say it that way I thought wow they really can make those promos deceiving.

The audio promo sounds interesting. Rory doesn't seem to give a **** about the split.

After the R/L scenes tonight, I think I'm kinda not buying that the writers are planning going with Matt's "soulmate friends" idea.

I thought the RL scene was cute. Rory having a crush while with someone still sort of bugs me but I think Logan played it off real well.

ETA: vanillabuzzer, loreali wasn't so bad. For the first time I pitied her. I have had trouble really truly feeling sorry for her. But, I think the sheer stupidity of this marriage and the idea of marrying someone you don't love finally hitting her got to me.

He didn't initiate anything. They both agreed that she doesn't have feelings for him.

Was he there to fix anything? No. He had walked out. He wasn't trying to fix the marriage. Lorelai was. He had accepted that her feelings weren't what he wanted them to be, she just came to the same conclusion he had. You're right about this not having anything to do with how Chris feels about Lorelai. But she was the one wanting to fix things most of the episode, he wasn't. He had already decided the marriage was over when she showed up at the house, by the end of the scene at the inn. He really had before he ever showed up at the inn. He wasn't trying to smooth over anything. He wasn't trying to make things better. He'd ended the marriage already. In the prior scene when he left again.

Hey! A nice mutual ending to the L/C relationship. Although, Lorelai seemed to take it harder at the end there. Poor girl.

I think it is healthy for people to have crushes and attractions (even when in a committed relationship), and all the better when it can be discussed with a partner...my only concern is that this may be the calm before the storm for them. I am afraid that they are building it all up seem so perfect...too perfect; just to tear it down in the end!

I think that's a little harsh.

I cannot get through an episode without posting on FF. Just have to say -- the CL scene at Lorelai's house is brilliant. The convo is spot on. I'm proud of the writers. Chris saying he still feels like he's asking Lorelai to marry him AND her subsequent reaction - perfect! I hope the rest plays out like this.

And at the risk of being killed by some of my JJ loves, I really like Christopher in this episode, as a person.
