2. Sounds logical to me; since Rory doesn't appear to be at Yale in this ep, I would imagine any R/L scenes will probably occur in NYC.

3. So the road trip is about reminiscing about Younger Rory? So why are the girls saying "farewell" to Rory's childhood in this ep, and not closer to graduation? And what spurs the road trip idea in the first place? (it has Lorelai written all over it, of course.) And further, why, after two years, do Logan and Lorelai suddenly get the urge to bond and "get to know each other" in 7.18?
Well, my very first thought, when all of the road tripping and reminiscing spoilers hit, was that it was because something is happening with Logan. (I couldn't decide whether it was already done or not.) I am thinking he and Rory have a "discussion". Rory needs to think, Lorelai wants to get away, and Emily is being driven crazy by Richard; cue road trip. They are all Gilmore Girls Only, until the end of the episode; when Emily goes home to deal with Grumpy Bear, Lorelai wanders into the diner (or something), and Rory goes to see Logan.

Well, either that or there is a time skip and graduation isn't in 7.21/22 and the road trip is a so long old school.

Oh, I fully expect there to be a talk. DR has actually had some of the characters talking about things this year - though I think it has been poorly written. I just want their talk to be a good one - not a fight in any way, but a talk that acknowledges their parts in what happened, etc. If they are going to show her telling Chris her feelings, it would be horrible if they didn't show L/L talking about what happened.

That would be wrong on so many levels. I'm convinced they will talk. The only question is: when? I'm thinking their paths will be crossly over the next few episodes especially with Lane storyline and then something more when the town festival occurs - at least I hope so.

Having all these characters involved in the town event seems like a significant episode for just about all the characters...and we know so little about what happens at the Spring Fling thing. I actually like the fact that I will be surprised by something - it's been a long time since I have been.

I had just assumed that all three girls would be available for the road trip since Lorelai's alone again, and Emily needs to get away from Richard, and Logan would be in Las Vegas. They'd all probably be mad at their guy (Or in lorelai's case, I don't know what she'd be feeling), and go on this girls only trip.

I just wonder how far this road trip is. Do they go across the country to see Mia? Or is it more local trip and they just end up thinking about how everything went when Rory was younger and how it affected Lorelai/Emily?

This Lane centric episode coming up seems like a good example of that - Luke is being asked to be godfather while just across the street, Lorelai is helping with the baby shower - they may not be in the same room, but there's no escaping being in the same orbit.[/quote]

just like the episode where he was helping the boys with the sets and she was sewing the dresses best episode ever imo

they need another episdoe like that - and i like the kayak reference for lorelai very hear me roar thing - something she would have done years ago

They have to make them talk somehow.

I agree. I want to be a little suprised too.

i still want an honest discussion about how they both hurt each other in a snowstorm trapped somewhere - i don't even need reunion make up sex - but i do need to hear that he totally made her feel ahhh and how she made him feel

words i want the words - again just like the scene in the garage when he came to tell her off about the girl who fell down in the play

i think it goes back to her fight with rory and her first break up with luke push to hard and bam its over

more maybe about rory because even when they did reunite rory and lorelai it always seemed that rory had the upper hand - and to a slight degree they both felt that - if you look at the scene on the couch before rory went to anna's store and after its there the strain - the sadness - on lorelai's part as well as rory's cunning nature as well as her rebellion and again lorelai says something but not her true feelings - the episode where lorelai discovers anna's bag at the diner was on yesterday and when she talks to luke its so obvious her sadness but no one can figure it out - and we all kept saying nervous breakdown coming well we had no idea her nervous breakdown would be in the form of marrying chris

i think Luke had more of a journey this year I think he fought for his daughter, did not become bitter, became more aware, and just loved his family more - it seems he turned inwards and changed things to make people fit more - he seemed calmer and happier last episode and i love that he fought for April - even though i hate and will forever hate that sl -

lorelai's journey i wiill never believe or understand

Agree but we still haven't seen how Lorelai handles her break-up with Chris.
I can't wait to see that scene.

I am trying to believe it but it's really, really hard.

That's because it is a pretty darn rare manifestation of a "nervous breakdown" - though I don't think that is what happened. The problem I've had along with this stupid "journey" is that her actions haven't been explained well - not by ASP last year or DR this year. But, a 13 episode contract explains it all to me. That is the ONLY thing that made any of this make sense to me. Glad it is over.

But I don't necessarily think he will go to Vegas. It doesn't say he leaves. It just says that he announces this plan and Rory worries, not Rory gets pissed. It would also tie in to the "college or forever" question that DR talked about in that interview a few months ago.

He said she would decide if Logan was the college guy or the forever guy. Seems to fit what little we know fairly well.

Slight tweak: whether Logan is the college boyfriend or the forever guy, i.e., the one you settle down with.

Nothing about the sides made it seem like Rory was seeking the town's approval. She doesn't need it, you're right. I just think she's letting her boyfriend into a part of her life that he never got to witness before. Town events, and Rory and Lorelai acting like Rory and Lorelai in town have been some of the funniest things on this show, IMO, I think that Logan would get a kick out of them. Even if Rory's at Yale and moving out into the world, SH will always be where she grew up and a town that'll mean a lot to her, so I think there's absolutely nothing wrong with bring her boyfriend to the town I'm sure she talks about a lot and maybe even introducing some people to him that meant a lot to her for her first 18 years, and continue to mean something to her.

LL really need to let it all out. They didn't back in S,GT and that's a huge part about why they never were able to communicate, they just ignored their issues. LL need to talk, and fight, and then talk some more about everything from April to the ultimatum to Chris.
