Thanks for that.

How I want to take it is maybe they planned on staying somewhere else but there was a problem (late arrival or booking mix up) and they had to stay there, I like the girls are bonding more and what better way than a road trip but I still find it funny they leave Richard weeks after his OP.

OT but someone on the TWoP thread just mentioned that they saw "Norbit" and that they noticed the movie was filmed in the Stars Hollow streets.

Interesting. I wonder when they filmed the movie since they (according to the her report) revamped Luke's, Taylor's Shoppe, and a few other areas of SH. When would they have filmed this? Just last summer when Gilmore Girls filming was out for a few months?

Well it started filming in March 2006 as IMDb said it would have been a couple of months shoot so covers when GG had wrapped production for the season.

IMDB does say that it was partially filmed at Warner Brothers Studios.

Sorry but does anyone else think this has flop written all over it?

I roll with my VERDANA. Nevertheless..Caf...you are projecting on Lorelai...again. Oh, what, this was from 14 hours ago? Man, I have been busy. Back to the point, as Laura has pointed out time after time after time. She's pointed it out so much...Cyndi Lauper is suing for copyright infringemebnt. LORELAI IS NOT LETTING CHRIS OFF WITH ANYTHING. Unlike you, Lorelai, does not have the same opinion of Chris. As Lorelai herself has said and intimated this year; RORY HAD LORELAI...THAT WAS ALL RORY NEEDED. You keep trying to force this nuclear family bollocks on a woman who continually believes that all her kid needed as a parent...was HER! If you have another opinion, then keep right on with that opinion. Whateverthecase, Lorelai nor the writers, do not hold to your or any other JJs view of Chris. Thank Athena for that because if they did...he would really be an *******. Yes, what I am stating is, that you make Chris worse than he has ever been.

This has nothing to do with Luke; I'd feel the same if she'd never met Luke.

Howver badly she needed to be loved, there are limits. It's wrong to let someone get aware with years of being that selfish and destructive, especially to a child, then suddenly, just because you're feeling low and he woos you for a few weeks, to shrug that all off. I could almost accept her doing that until she came to her senses. But it looks like she'll never come to her senses again.

There you go with your MORAL CODE again. Is it fun for you to pass judgements on TV characters? Again, you are projecting YOUR MORAL CODE onto a character that WILL NEVER EVER REPRESENT IT. This is what gets me the most about debates on her because most of the time people bring their BACKGROUND to the table...as if their background is needed.

Maybe I just see the world differently, but there are more ANGLES to this VERSE and the UNIVERSE than the ones in my head. There is always another way to look at something. There is seldom if ever a right answer. You caf, seem to work, in the realm of moral certitudes. As if there is an DEFINITE response and reaction to everything in life. Well...there's not.

Most people are prone to making the rest of us look bad. I am not bagging on them because of it but this is a part of life. We have so many societal unspoken rules that people can do things and other people would not say anything about it. Instead of making people heroes. We make them cowards for saying something that needs to be said. So, again, there is not MORAL CERTAINTY to Lorelais actions. She's an anti-heroine. You know what that means Tara? It means, that you love her despite herself. Despite all the **** that she does. Despite the way that she treats her parents, her friends, and her daughter. Despire all of that, at her core, you know that she's good, decent, and worth putting the time in as a fan. Unless you want to go on about how much she sucks for not acting like you in that situation...which is just a bit odd to me.

I am NOT saying she had to shout at him or never speak to him again. I've understood her remaining friends with him, because of Rory and also because of their own shared youth. I also understood her trying in season 2, because Rory was still a kid at home, there was still a hope of that biological family - and maybe because we the viewers hadn't experienced so many of his perfidies.

But now - after everything we've seen him do. For her to give him a free pass, to let him get away with it all - to forget just because the show seems to find it convenient to forget or because DSR doesn't really care about children - to me this is a fundamental wrongness. It's so wrong and offensive that I can't suspend disbelief and enjoy her character.

SO Lorelai does not care about the CHILDREN? THE BLESSED CHILDREN? Again, caf, address your issues to the RIGHT CHARACTER. Everything you are accusing Chis of as a character...HE FEELS HORRIBLE ABOUT! You might not see it. But he has been shown to be ripped apart about the past countless time. Oh wow, he wanted Lorelai. HE'S A MAN! MEN have a real ****ty tendency to put cooch before the children. Yet...he did....with GiGI.

Please, continue to go on your moral righteousness crusades as if you owned a ministry in Branson. It does not change that ROSENTHAL has children and I doubt he hates them...as it does not change that you are blaming CHRIS. When you should be blaming a woman so caught up in her **** not smelling, that she lets Chris off the hook. Dont hate the player. Hate the game.

I don't think I'm the only one, although who knows how total audience numbers break out. I do know that I've heard the same from kids from single-parent families who had a special place for this show, who grew up with it, and feel totally betrayed now.

I have only had my mom most of my life. Single-parent...not destroyed. Again, there is another angle, but you are focusing on making the father look like the villian? When really, he's a dumbass, that accepts he was a dumbass. While the mom does not care because all the kid need was...HER!

She's showing raw emotion because she can't love him, for heaven's sake! Not raw emotion over the horrendous mistake of ever trying to love someone like him, which would be understandable if she were really waking up and regaining herself. This crushes my last hope.
Yes, ladies and a few gents, Caf has now equated Chris to the freaking EMPEROR! That's right. That man has no dick. One last thing, there are few more mundane criticisms than those of you who decide to BASH the JOURNEY. Almost everything in life is a JOURNEY that leads to some ritual in all of our cultures. TO bash the journey is to bash human existance. It's also to bash our ancestors who saw fire for the first time and thought to themselves; "Journey? Journey? I like that word. What word did you think of Ouglaooo?" "I thought up Daschund." "Daschund? You stared into the fire and got...Daschund?" "Yeah. It would be a swell American name for a Japanese car someday. OOHHH! LOOK! I SAW INTO THE FUTURE BY LOOKING INTO THE FIRE!" "Man, all I thought of was the journey." Presented in MIKE "SANDY" BROWN vision.

You might think that but right now Paramount are cheering since it brought in over $33 million in its first weekend.

It ranked #1 at the US box office this weekend raking in $33.7M. That is a very good gross for February and would definitely not be considered a flop.

Actually, it's a FLOP, in the sense that it might have kept an OSCAR away from Eddie Murphy. It is a pleasure to be nominated...nevertheless those movies always make good coin. Families of all shapes and colours are dragged to those flicks by their kids. Kids love fat-suits. But...foreign...their kids are not that big a fan of the fatsuit.

Gilmore Girls related? Grant Lee Philips is awesome...YO!

I have no idea when it's gonna play here, I don't go to the cinema much, maybe I'll wait for the DVD.

I never said that Luke would be overjoyed to have E/R in his life I said "even if it means having E/R in his life too”, but if he and Lorelai would ever get a child, then E/R would be his family too.
And as he said to Jess “All these people come in a package with this girl. The mother comes with this girl. The grandmother comes with this girl.” Luke knows how desperately Lorelai wants to please her parents and despite all that happened between them he knows how much they all want to be a part of the others life. So yes, I’m sure Luke would make sure his child got to know E/R, more so because his parents are dead, Luke doesn’t have to love E/R, but he wouldn’t deprive his child the chance to love his/her grandparents.

Comes out on February 22 in Australia.

On the flip side I'm a huge fan of musicals but couldn't stand Dreamgirls.

Something Gilmore related - I really wish Arena would stop advertising the season six DVDs for the show.

Why?

I just wish ch 9 would let ArenaTV show S5, 6 then 7 some time this decade!

BTW I just got S5 on DVD and 6 will wait (just to complete the set) until it's on sale for 1/2 price!
