They sound like the same person to me. Seriously, I'm not mocking (given the history of this thread), I want to know where and how you make the distinction.
Actually, I used to think that Lorelai was a strong woman, a little selfish but with a deep respect for her friends and specially for Luke.. the Old Lorelai was able to talk with Luke about her problems, even crying with him, the new Lorelai is an absolutely selfsih woman, unsecure, who doesn't know how to confront her problems... the old Lorelai couldn't have sex with other man the same night that she broke up his enagement with Luke. the old Lorelai couldn't marry a guy to say few months later that she wasn't sure or that she was still in love with her previous fiancee... I DON'T TRUST LORELAI... I can't trust her anymore. Sorry.

If he was the right guy I think they would have dealt with the rory neglect issue a long time ago. I think he hasn't been set up as the"right" guy because of his on again off again-****tiness. They would have talked through it in say season 2 or 3. But, the fact that even in season 7 it was glossed over says a lot. Its not like rory just happens to be someone Lorelai knew. Rory is her daughter and no matter how rory chooses to deal with her father, her mother simply ignoring Chris's lack of presence is odd. Maybe I'm making too much of it

I can understand your perspective, but mine is just a little different. Lorelai is undoubtedly flawed. The few times I saw Lorelai try to broach the subject of April with Luke, she was shut down and dismissed. Should she have fought harder? Yes, probably. Lorelai sort of dug her own grave by trying to be supportive and not voicing her true opinion. I certainly don't condone Lorelai's sleeping with Christopher immediately after breaking up with Luke, but I can understand that she was devastated and did something incredibly stupid in her pain. However, I do think that Lorelai still respects Luke and his values of family. If Lorelai was such a selfish person, wouldn't she consider Luke the bad guy with respect to their break-up? Wouldn't she try to assign all the blame on him? When Luke came to Lorelai and asked her to elope, she did the honorable thing and told him about her and Christopher. Did she want Christopher at that point in time, no. But neither did she want to lie to Luke. She chose honesty and accepted it's consequences in this situation. As stupid as I think she was to get in that predicament in the first place, I do have to respect how she handled the situation once it happened. As with all things Gilmore, I don't think it is all black or white. But that's just me. Thanks for answering my question.

Omigod - the melodrama! I for one, am so thankful I never had to hear this kind of melodramatic dreck from ASP througout the first 6-1/2 years - these writers can't seem to get away from it. Last time it was "but I love you. i love you." Now, "it's I chose you. I chose you." yech. sounds awful.

Thank heavens this part of this nonsense is coming to an end, I don't think I could take more of Chris' petulence about Luke - which has been going on now since he laid eyes on him with the baby and Lorelai - the writers have lost any semblence of creativity with this storyline - can't wait for it to just be over.

She told Rory that if she'd stopped for five minutes to phone, she wouldn't have gone through with the marriage. What kind of a "choice" is that? How did that suddenly become "I chose you"?

I'm starting to fear what nonsense, what dreck, they'll think up next.

Nic, thanks for the confirmation.

I can't wait to see Emily Gilmore in a motel.

ITA - and I think she has forgiven Luke for what he did, maybe 'cause of what she did, but I doubt she would want to help Luke is she still felt like he was a bad guy for doing the things he did. Maybe the fact he came and begged to elope made up for some of it 'cause she finally saw he had no idea he was hurting her.

I also think Luke has forgiven Lorelai for her actions partly 'cause of how he stuffed up. So I think they have forgiven each other but the just need to tell each other that so they can move on.

IMO once this happens then L&L getting back together will be quick.

I'm late but thanks for the clip 2GGobsessed and for posting it caf.

The road trip definitely goes for more than one day. Of course we'll see several scenes of the road trip itself then at their actual destination, etc.

Thanks Nic, now we just need to know how long. IMO no more than a night.

SPEC, they are taking a day trip but something happens and they have to spend the night on the road, so maybe they have no clothes to change in to or other supplies.

BTW - youtube is being slow but the promo 7.14 clip will be there one day

Remember the spoiler Little Earthquake gave us on 1/20

Lorelai will be single after breaking up with Chris. She'll not reunite immediately with Luke.
If 7.17 is "Gilmore Girls Only" 7.18 would be the earliest. And since Luke appears to be busy with April & Lorelai iappears to be busy with Logan & Rory & Michel, I'd bet on 7.19 at the earliest
