I think that was confirmed as foiler Lorelai&Luke ...
What was confirmed as an L&L foiler?

I think this was a foiler. Does anyone else remember? I think it went along with Luke moving to New Mexico ...

Maybe Richard wanted Emily out of the house to get some peace from all her fussing around him and forcing him to eat healthy and bland meals; no doubt consisting of fish, fish and more fish.

He probably enlisted the aide of Lorelai (seeing that she was instrumental in getting around Emily’s dietary restrictions by arranging for Sookie to cook him delicious meals consisting of something other than fish, fish and more fish) to get Emily out of the house and go on the road trip with them.

I remember something like that also, but yes it was a long time ago...

here is the post.

Chris will be in at least four of the last nine episodes, including the last one. He'll be around because he's dragging out the divorce. Luke and Lorelai will get back together before the divorce is final. Anna will use this against Luke in the custody trial, and he'll lose, and she'll take April to New Mexico. The season will end with Luke having to decide between staying in Stars Hollow or going to be with April. (My source's theory is that this leaves them an out if Scott Patterson comes up with more unreasonable demands for his contract.)
it was later confirmed as a foiler by sara2009 at TwOP

Good spec but I just think it's weird, maybe the road trip is just overnight and there are back the next night?

So you don't think the season could still end with Luke moving to NM to be closer to April more LOL

IMO foilers for the most part are early SL ideas that leak and at some point may have been true or at least being considered. Having Luke win partial custody still leaves it open for Luke to move to be with April more.

I did like the L&L together before the divorce is final, 'cause it sounds possible with what we know, people often move on before the divorce is final. That's half the reason for divorce in most countries.

Naaahhh I am not thinking Luke will move to New Mexico, but of course this is just spec and well it could happen ...

And of course YOU like the idea of L&L together before the divorce is final The sooner the better right? I would hope Lorelai takes some time to deal with it all and let it all sink in, so she will be more ready to take on a relationship ... and I do prefer the one relationship being officially over (divorce) ...

Well if L&L get together before the divorce I want them to hold off from spending the night together, would that work? maybe not but I think it could be sweet if they date and make up (and make out) but don't sleep together until in my SPEC the divorce is final ep 18-19.

So we might have Chris pop up then for the divorce (oh and to see Rory) and then again in the final for graduation.

Anyone else think it would be sweet if they hold off on the sex until the divorce is final.

I don't know Craig, that would all depend on the reasoning behind this for me. If they hold off sex because they would feel that would mean, also on an emotional level, taking things slow and step by step, sure, that would be good. If they would hold off on the sex because they feel it is wrong to have sex because the divorce is not final yet, just waiting for a formality, but in every way emotionally they both already feel they are completely in the relationship, I would think it would be crazy to not have sex also ... since that is a part of the relationship (or so I feel ...)

But I must say I personally feel I am getting ahead of things

Plus Luke has not gotten any for a while so maybe they don't wait

I agree it would be good for some restraint but for the right reason.

okay I'm out for a few hours

Or it's off screen?

It's so wrong and offensive that I can't suspend disbelief and enjoy her character.

I don't think I'm the only one, although who knows how total audience numbers break out. I do know that I've heard the same from kids from single-parent families who had a special place for this show, who grew up with it, and feel totally betrayed now.
I don’t agree with the way Christopher seems to have gotten away without being held accountable for his failings as a dad to Rory but I guess Lorelai doesn’t have to call him on this anymore because after reading the character reference letter she wrote for Luke, he certainly is now more aware than ever of his shortcomings and failings as a father. Nothing she could have done could have hurt his as much as his reading her words in black and white on what a poor father he has been; even though it wasn’t intended for him to read or as a direct attack on him.

GG has never delved into the deep emotional and psychological family issues and problems with an attempt to resolve them. GG is a dramedy that has always skimmed the surface of these issues, focusing more on making it an entertaining and lighthearted family show with some drama. Addressing and resolving issues like these would probably be more fitting to a true drama show but then the comedic factor would not be present. It’s only this year that GG finally made the move to switch to the drama category.

I personally wouldn't want to see any romantic movement before 718 or 719. I really want to see Lorelai embracing her inner kayak and getting back to that place she used to be in where it was ok to be single. Where she didn't need her "whole package" to be happy with herself. To me getting into a relationship with Luke, whether their having sex or not, has to be preceded by Lorelai being happy with who she is on her own.
