My big concern re Mitchum, and Logan investing his own money is that this will be a "device" like the April one to break up Rory and Logan, i.e. having Logan not be able to deal with the stress, shut Rory out, get back into partying with his friends to avoid his problems, etc. I.E. same old plot device, same old plot device. If they want Rory to be single at the end, I'd rather it be because she wants to explore life a little more, devote herself f/t to a career. Or better, have Logan lose his safety net trust fund and Dad's support, and strike out totally on his own merit. That would be interesting, and I think would fit in with how they are having him mature as a person and benefiting from Rory's influence. Logan and Rory both in New York trying to make their fortunes, beats another guy bales on a Gilmore Girl.

My guess for bringing Mitchum back is that it somehow brings Rory/Logan together even more and on a deeper level.

Logan will probably "break free" from Mitchum, and I also think he will do it with Rory's help.

I am really looking forward to seeing this develop.

That is my guess too. Even Ausiello, who isn't that fond to give good RL spoilers, said that Rory would play the supportive girlfriendd role during Logan's family/business problems. Pretty much like how Logan acted in 7.13.

OT - Sorry if this is been discussed to death but the thing about Logan and the $3 Million trust fund, IMO he is not putting up all his money, he's not an idiot.

ETA - Mag13 I like Logan and I like that he's with Rory, they are having the kind of relationship right now that I wish Amy had done for Luke and Lorelai! You know without the choppers and stuff LOL

And why in any way would Liz and TJ want to sell LUKE'S boat? Isn't it LUKE'S? But I guess this opens up plans for him to work on the boat more, which is why recent sighting of it found it had been worked on.

Yay for Colin coming back. Interesting plot they're bringing for Rory and Logan. I'm glad it's got a bit of substance while also being a true to Logan's character. He's got his flaws still...

ETA: Maybe Luke finally decides to BUY a garage or shack to store his boat in, instead of having others store it for him. (Though last I heard it was seen in Lorelai's garage...hm...)

I'm having any doubts about your admiration for Rory being with Logan.
