If they want Rory to be single at the end, I'd rather it be because she wants to explore life a little more, devote herself f/t to a career. Or better, have Logan lose his safety net trust fund and Dad's support, and strike out totally on his own merit. That would be interesting, and I think would fit in with how they are having him mature as a person and benefiting from Rory's influence. Logan and Rory both in New York trying to make their fortunes, beats another guy bales on a Gilmore Girl.
Do you really think that because someone works in the family business doesn't has merits? Have you ever worked in a well known family business?

I know some peple that is working in the family business and let me tell you, it has been very hard for them because the family expects a lot of them.

I've known people that has succeeded and now they are respected and admired by their family after working very hard to make them beleive in him while having ups and downs in their learning curve, but I also have known people that simply haven't succeeded and have been put aside.

After watching this I think that for all of them it would have been more easy to create their own bussines, because of less presure.

Well it depends on the demos, did someone say more young people are watching Lorelai with the older ones watch Rory. Maybe they have done market research, just hope it's not the same research that lead DSR to think Chris was a good idea!

funnyfriend, the remark had nothing to do with family businesses and everything to do with Mitchum and the rest of Logan's family. Golly. Does a person's behavior have no meaning whatsoever? Is it just, well this is a family business so it is automatically good? Logan has said on many occasions that his father dictated to him what his future would be, and Logan reacted by partying and acting out. In my opinion a break from eachother would be good. Are we now defending Mitchum? What's next, Anna is just a misunderstood woman trying to portect April from evil Luke? Maybe my TV is in the Twilight Zone and I see a bizaro version of the show, where Mitchum tried to control Logan most of his life and was a jerk to Rory and baled on his son when he was in the hospital, and everyone else see's someone else.

I rather doubt that. Most of the people that post at the AB and MC boards are in their teens.

Not to be nit picky but Pocahantus (sp?) was in a canoe. A kayak has a double paddle and often a closed top. Can't think of any kayak referances myself, other then they've gotten trendy lately.
