Re: S8, one of the TwoP posters said that from what she got out of their tours, everyone but AB is all set on S8 and they are going to be putting the screws to her to get her to make up her mind. If she says no, no more show. I guess that doesn't tell us anything new.

Yes, Mag - that's the one I was talking about. I like the word "path" given that the episode has a maze in it that is probably brimming with paths leading in all directions....I'm probably reading too much into it, but what the heck.

i've heard that AB doesn't want to do another season and while i can understand her wanting to do other things, she shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth. Gilmore Girls gave her exposure, which is a good thing because i'm sure that exposure she has is part of what let her get to be in the movie Sisterhood of The Traveling Pants. The girl needs to make up her mind and quick. I would think that with the whole cast wanting to do an 8th season it would be hard for her to say no because it would make her look bad.

For me, I think AB has fullfilled her seven year contract and if she wants to move on , I really hope she will feel she can do without having to be made to feel badly about her decision about her life. If she had been trying to get out of her contract before it expired this year, then, maybe she would be in line for some disappointing reactions.

If she doesn't want to do it and only does so to placate some people, it may show in her performances - I'm not particularly interested in her pursuing something if it will make her unhappy.

I feel kinda sad about this, it would be a lot to put on someone like Lauren who has been around longer, but Alexis, it basically sounds like she's the key at keeping 100s of people working on this job.

No wonder TPTB are so keen on "plan B".

So any more news overnight?

Actually I think the chances of her signing are greater if they all agree to limited appearances. AB seems tired of the show, but I if she only had to commit to a handful of episodes next season at the same $$$, that would allow her freedom to pursue other things. That's why MA's Plan B scenerio made sense to me, although I don't believe anything he says anymore.

JMO.

As we've seen this season things change and while DSR can give KAB an overview of where he wants S8 to go I don't know if he can give a 100% guarantee that it will turn out that way.

But I agree money talks, she is young and another year with extra benefits could be what is needed, maybe directing a couple of eps if that's what she wants? After watching the extras on the S5 DVD it sounded then like they wouldn't want to be any where else, a lot can change in a couple of season.

On the right side of the paper, does it say "It's about Diners"? I'm sure there might be tons of words that start with 'dine' but the only other one that comes to mind is dinette...

That was just weird, why Amy put that on the end of the ep and then never used it will always be a mystery to me. Also the picture of Lorelai alone should have been a sign of things to come, I would have LOVED it if Emily had somehow got the picture Rachel took in season 1 and used it.

I remember the podcast that week and they couldn't wait for the fallout from the paper, guess we're still waiting.

I wouldn't say 100s, since most of the crew likely works for Warner Brothers. They would just be assigned to a new show. It's the creative people, which is the lesser number of people that work on the show, that would have to find new jobs. Actors, writers, directors & editors, etc. The lighting guys, grips, camera people, set dressers, craft service people, etc., etc., they probably would just move to a new set.

But you get my point, it's a lot to put on one person, any person to know they are responsible for the show going on for another year.

That's why IMO there is a plan B and it could include a Rorylite season with say 13 eps but still sharing top billing in the credits.
