| I thought about a fic too, Pimbolina, but it was Luke and Lorelai flying out to SB. This of course led to them getting together at last. (I liked that fic.) A Gilmore Girls road trip sounds awesome. | Isn't 7.16 the ep of the baby shower? If the road trip is in there, I don' tknow if they'd be able to pack a 'road trip' storyline WITH baby showers for Lane. Unless Rory and Lorelai miss Lane's baby shower ETA: It now makes some sense if the CS still has Gigi's stuff...if the Gilmore Girls were going on a road trip, I have a feeling they have very few scenes in the CS. | Thanks for the spoiler Nic! So roadtrip in 7.16 and flashbacks in 7.17? The roadtrip sounds amazing. Finally some family focus. And I agree with whoever said they'd like the flashbacks to be about Emily staying in bed or Lorelai and Rory showing up at the Inn...I love that stuff! Finally, FINALLY the show is going back to its old roots. | I'm sorry for the negative perspective here, but I feel really weary of this 'road trip' For some reason, I feel as though 'road trips' are a signal when a series is REALLY running out of interesting material and are often boring, contrived episodes that make me want to gag. (Road Trip to Harvard, of course, was fantastic). Maybe it's because I once watched a Grey's Anatomy episode with a Road trip that was the worst 30 or so minutes to watch ever, but I'm weary of this. My other favourite show, ironically, is doing a road trip episode for tonight's episode and I am weary about that one too. | It's not like it is the first time they have ever gone a road trip though. Would you say that RTTH showed a downturn? I think it is another way for them to bookend where these people are now. Put them in a similar situation, and you can see how they have changed, or not. (I'm looking at you, Lorelai.) One change is already obvious, in that Emily is with them. And I am looking for a little clarification, everyone says a "motel" set. I know a lot of people use that interchangeably with "hotel". I am just trying to picture Emily at a Motel 6 and I am laughing myself thin.
