Katie you said it perfectly ok the episode in my opnion was not what i was expecting it was worst dont get me wrong though i loved the LL scenes alot but the 7.14 promo confused me
i thought about it and heres what i think for C/L in 7.14: they go out to dinner and they talk then lorelai confesses that she doesn't even want to be in the marriage ( from the audio promo) they go back to the CS lorelai has her break down and she says she wants to be with him but she cant becuase she doesn't feel the same way she says she's sorry and chris suggests they split and lorelai agrees pan out

end of episode.

Actually, she surprised me in the promo,, she is showing her feelings to Chris. Maybe she doens't love him but she is talking with him, she is openning herself to him... she is really talking and he is there with her holding her hands. They will be just friends, but he will be always in her heart, he is a part of her life. Chris is not a bad person.

It just occurred to me tonight, why wasn't Luke, "Luke" during the episode where Trix died and Lorelai needed help so much? I remember Jason bailing on her because he didn't like funerals, and Sookie helped with the food....

His showing up to the hospital after hours of sulking, acting like an ******* to someone who was THERE for Lorelai, and then acting like a dick to Lorelai before he went to see Richard? Those are the qualities of someone who is "not a bad person?"

There wasn't any evidence that Luke even knew about the funeral in that ep. Besides which he was having huge fights with his wife at the time. One would think he would have been a little distracted at that time

I always thought that was a missed opportunity to be honest. I think that Amy dropped the ball on that. Plus wasn't that during the whole Nicole debacle? That might have had something to do with it.

Well, inmy opinion Lorelai love both guys, but she doesn't love one of them in the way how Emily loves Richard... In my opinion if this is the LAST season Lorelai should end alone... with a lot of projects in front of her and maybe a "someday" with Luke.

This wasn't exactly a worry free time for Luke either.

I just think "we" are willing to find excuses for Luke when necessary, but not for Chris.

In any event, this episode didn't play out *at all* as I expected. I can't wait to see all the critics recaps: few words and a lot of white space in between.
