I don't know how much Lorelai loves Chris, but I get the impression this break up is more than just loving someone it a whole trust issue. Luke got over it in TPDR, mainly 'cause of the secret he hid but he also thought he was in a good place with Lorelai and had no problem with C&L going to the Yale thing or the other stuff they did. Maybe Lorelai was up set that Luke wasn't jealous?

We also can't say Luke doesn't belong at the hospital until we know how he found out and what he real reason is behind him being there. And this shouldn't be about Luke, it's about the fact Chris is not there. Is it was Sookie or Michel would we have this problem? Right now Luke is just a friend and IMO not a close one 'cause of the break up so I see no difference if it was Michel there.

But we have to see how they act and what they say in about 22 hours time before I make a judgement of my own.

Are we taking votes? It definitely sounds like Lorelai to me -- maybe she's telling Rory what happened between her and Chris, and she gets choked up. Heck, she could even be talking to Emily, with half a bottle of scotch in her -- that makes as much sense as anything else. Alcohol can heighten emotions.

I also don't believe Chris walked. He left to cool off, think things through, whatever, and he comes back ready to try to work things out. Her "Christopher, I don't even want to be in this marriage" sounds like he's trying to convince her they need to try. She has a kind of "uh, hello...!" tone when she says it.

Yes, I heard that too but that doesn't mean he won't change his mind. We'll see what happens in ep 14 but I'm betting the farm that Chris pathetically tries to make things work and that's when Lorelai firmly states that she does not want to be in the marriage. Otherwise, why would she say that?

I think this entire LLC sl is rubbish BUT I don't think Luke's presence at the hospital is necessarily out of line. After reading teh letter, he realizes that Lorelai still cares for him deeply as a friend. When he hears about Richard, I'm sure it's just gut instinct to offer any sort of help she needs. It's totally innocent and at a time like this, he wouldn't be focusing on stupid soapy love drama. It's perfectly understandable for Chris to be uncomfortable when he sees Luke, but under the circumstances, he should suck it up and think about what's important: Richard. But from the ep description, it sounds like he acts like a baby and leaves AGAIN. There is no excuse for that whatsoever.

As for the fear of Luke taking over the episode, we're only aware that he's in ONE scene. Promos are usually a bunch of BS anyway.

Promos are designed to get people to watch, they use tricks all the time, that's why we can't trust them, the I'm Sorry could have been to anyone and could have been said at any time in the past not just future.

Haven't seen it but I've yet to see LG give a poor performance...seriously she's such an amazing actress.

You can hate Lorelai all you want. I don't care. Whatever you think of the character is up to you. But when you bash an actress, a real person, that's a different story. I'd say the same if you were bashing SP or MM or whomever. They're actors, they try their hardest at what they do and Lauren Graham has a masters degree in acting, so I think she knows a little more than you.

About the audio spoiler. To me it sounds like she's got tears stuck at the back of her throat. Not that she's upset at losing Chris but that she's sorry that she brought him into the mess she's made of her life. But I'll wait until I see the video of this promo tomorrow to say for sure.

She's good but there's room for vast improvement..YMMV I know its a taboo opinion aroudn these parts...so I'll shut up

It didn't sound like bashing to me, just you didn't like her performance in BISS which is a valid statement IMO.

Why is it we can say that an actors performance was good/great/outstanding but if you say it was bad then that's wrong. IMO if you don't defame or bash and just state the performance was bad then how is that bashing?

Now it may just come down to personal taste, I have not seen the movie yet, it doesn't open here until April but I'm not likely to see it until it hits DVD any way.
