I know you offered alot of really good insights lemon tart, but I wanted to highlight the one piece that has been floating in my mind lately. I finished watching some S5 and I think it was in NMIP, where Rory found out that Lorelai went to help out Christopher and Rory goes to him to tell him to stay away from her mom because he will eventually not be there when he is needed and he will hurt her mom (and her). (Interestingly she used the word bail)

This is exactly what he does in the hospital and IMHO is the real reason for the breakup, because Luke (who as someone earlier said, had his heart ripped out,) still showed up.

Also, I love the idea that Lorelai is at her parents when Emily is cleaning out the alcohol and they find this 200 year old or more bottle of scotch that you CANNOT pour down the sink, so they polish it off to "save" Richard.

I'm curious to know - have you found many discrepancies this season between the cc and the actual lines aired?

Thanks, I won't be here most of Sunday so I had to get it out of the way.

I like the idea of the town meeting being about Lorelai (and maybe Luke), finally some more townies stuff! That has been the biggest lacking thing this season along with a lack of balance, Chris come in a throws the whole thing off. Maybe Luke can bring some balance back to the force LOL

Like last week lots of Lane after she was gone so long and then this week NOTHING again, why not have Sookie and Lorelai bump into them on the street. To further freak out Sookie.

And on that the one thing I got from that entire scene was it was like when she freaked out about Davey not coming out and Lorelai calmed her down with her stories of Rory, it had the same feel.

No, apart from some spelling errors it's just a matter of a few minor words/lines here and there missing, nothing big. But a lot more "I mean" at the start of lines. In Partings it was like a hand full but in last weeks it was dozens or "I mean", I mean really! LOL

Thanks for the ratings, jillianries. No idea what those numbers mean officially, but unofficially, does that mean people who tuned out at the beginning of the "experiment" are tuning back in to see the end of it?

Thanks Babs and very nice title. For the JJs or whatever you want to call yourselves as fans of this show. In all my time in this forum, this is the SECOND RORY THREAD TITLE...EVER! I think there's more VOLTRON thread titles on the MT than Rory having a thread title. So, there's a little story about Rory, the Gilmore Girl who never gets thread titles.

Capa, outside of reading German, and knowing how you really feel. Really nice avatar. So soon I am going to make a David and Lauren humping avatar. Since I can be your huckleberry and a humpin gif makes me giggle. Nevertheless...you cannot stop the shining. Try. Come on. Try. Yes, I am being silly, but I have no idea why you are trying to pick a fight with an avatar.

Finally, Luke, Lorelai, and Chris have hogged story time away from everyone else. Why are we even arguing this? Wayne has the numnbers. We know the times and how each character was used. Again, if you want to bring your arguments that you are bringing to other Sophies to me, then remember who you are stepping to as a poster. Because I love Luke as a character as much as you guys.

However, on my part, I am not going to deny that LUKE STOLE FOCUS AWAY FROM RORY this season. He has his own storyline that revolved around his world. While Rory was stuck being in a reflective character to her own mother's storyline for most of the first-half. Chris is only a part of the problems with the time-managment skills. His involvement only led to Luke and Lorelai being seperated from each other's story. Which, again, screwed up the complete and total time management of this show.

Again, Luke does not suck for taking story time away from Rory. It just happened. It happened in such a way that I really do not mind because I love Luke and April scenes. I also love Type-0 scenes and the rest of the characters on the show getting some screentime. Screentime that was few and far between while the LLC MARATHON was taking up all of this time that could have been spent on a TITLE CHARACTER and more on the TOWN.

Let's just hope that with the LC ridicathon finally over the rest of the characters will get their fair share. If the balance in episode 15 is anything like the description, we're heading in a good direction. That's the most character-packed description I've read in months. And every piece of it sounds promising.

Nice post, Jace. I pretty much agree with everything. I also loved seeing Luke and April, I actually also enjoyed how this whole L/C business played out, but since it apparantly was no option to make the eps a little longer (say with about 15 minutes) ... it was pretty annoying to see so little of the other title character (well a real SL ... that I do feel is now becoming more meaty

) and the town. So it is not that I did not like what I saw, I just missed some characters a lot!

1. I don't have a problem with that one. If you feel better afterwards - congrats. Lauren and David

2. Since we all know how it can end in here if you use words I let my ava speak but if you want some words from me why I think the TA is a good invention I'll just bring my post from the LL spoiler board over. So don't blame me if people get their panties in a twist.

I don't really see them jumping each other or anything but I think the TA will bring the old Rory back. Since she met Logan everything is about him. She cries and whines about him not loving her, breaking up with her and sleeping with the braids maids, him being in London and being back but only to be around with his co-workers. Her whole storyline is wrapped around Logan while the show started out with her going after her goal to become a journalist. I really believe the TA will bring her back to that. I mean he shows up in ep14 and the next thing we know she is on the phone with the New York Times. I could be wrong there and it is Logan's doing or even Mitchum's to bribe her into helping him with Logan but the TA will probably set her back on track, show her the way into the future, give her some advice and perspective.
I mean the same thing happened in season 6 when Jess showed up. He gave her a piece of his mind and boom she took her life back into her hands. Logan could never achieve that. He only dragged her down. At Chilton Paris pushed her. In season 6 Jess pushed her and now the TA will push her.

Beside that post I also find Cameron Bender very attractive and putting him and Alexis in one ava just showed me that they make one good looking pair.

I never made a big deal out of my opinion about Rory and her storyline. She was never my favorite character but after Logan's introduction she and her storyline just went downhill on my scale. The whole life and death thing was interesting and good but after that was done she just became boring in my eyes.

That's how I see it. That's how I feel about it. Now feel free to shoot me for it.
