Oh ok, well either way, I think it's cute and a good sign that the TA won't be a big deal.

Haha, I'll find hilarious see Logan trying to swallow a crap meal in his birthday only to make Rory's happy

And since Lorelai's letter only made Luke to be Rory's father "sort of", I don't think it's that meaningful and Lorelai said herself she was exaggerating in Luke's favour… And since we know to whom Rory went to with her problems concerning her future and Lucy, not Luke nor Chris, but Richard, this case is closed for me so to speak.
I posted something similar in another thread:

Quote:
You see, last episode - while Lorelai was claiming Luke as Rory's father figure in order to help him to have the only daughter he wanted and Chris was proudly wearing his Yale sweater -- Rory, oblivious to all them, was sharing her problems with Richard, her grandfather and teacher.

Wait... why breakups? Don't Lorelai and Chris break up before 7.15?? I thought he just moves out in 7.15, but they are already over... like in 7.13

Lorelai's had a child and she's been married, but it's not the same as having them BOTH together, simultaneously.

Lorelai really wants the "Whole Package" as she's said for the past several seasons. It doesn't just include a marriage, but she wants the family life. And from her perspective, a big part of the dream includes having a baby WITH your husband, and raising that child WITH your husband.

It's why, even though she's married to Christopher, she still sees herself as 'a single mom.' Rory's already out of the house, Lorelai pretty much spent the 22 years singly raising her, and her marriage with Christopher didn't exactly tie that whole package together as it should. She wants the experience of having a baby WITH a husband/partner, not alone like she did last time. It comes full circle for a woman who has based more than 20 years of her life (and that's MOST of her life) on being a mom. It's not over now that Rory's grown up. She still wants to be a mom,

Probably subconsciously, Lorelai's dream of having a baby is also a way for her to 'fix' her mistake that she's felt she made 22 years ago, though she suppresses it. While Rory was the best thing that happened to her, it's not unlikely that the perception of society and her parents have influenced her self-image and self esteem. She probably feels as though she has to 'fix' the mistake of having an illegitimate child (or an out-of-wedlock child). To 'fix' it in her mind, she needs to have a legitimate child who gets to experience being raised by BOTH her parents.

thats a REALLY good point about all of the hinting in early seasons...

It was just and idea, pity we already have the title. Yes Chris moves out in 15 so maybe the official breakup and with the Birthday breakfast I just thought it was a fitting title, no okay moving on...

Thanks Nadine and lorelaisgirl for the spoilers.

I don't see a problem if Lorelai wants to have more children. It's a natural wish. But I can't see a mother wanting to have another baby to fix anything concerned about her first baby. Normal mothers just love all their children, no regrets. It would be awful if DSR write Lorelai somewhat regreting Rory.

I whole heartedly agree...
and her whole package was in the stupid, traditional ‘Dan Quayle, golden retriever, grow old together, wear matching jogging suits’ kind of way. marriage. . .and being there for the pregnancy... and there while their child grows up, and be there for each other completely.. her wish.. and luke and her had that wish together, he promised her and knew it would happen.. and it damn well happen

Thanks for all the information, lorelaisgirl. Interesting. Sounds to me like someone got their hands on a callsheet or two.

I was lurking elsewhere (I believe it was TWoP) and someone who is familar with Scott Patterson's shooting schedule said that they finish filming 7.16 tomorrow and start filming 7.17 on Tuesday.

She was suddenly a gourmet cook in AVV though, so it's probably not crappy.

:

But Rory is not her mother, she knows her way around the kitchen as we saw in VV. I would think she will make a very nice breakfast for him.

Tara Did you find out that Duplos were the large size Lego building blocks that children under 5 years old play with? They are very simple and uncomplicated that build small structures. (Catching up with the thread.)

Also, could someone tell me about this post from peachypeep?

I have no idea what input Lauren Graham has into storyline choices, but i do know that Amy Sherman-Palladino set up David Sutcliff for an "A" storyline this year, not Lauren.

I am so excited about these upcoming episodes - actual things happening! Helicopters! Death bed confessions!! Adios Chris!!!

Thanks for the thread, caf.
What Death Bed Confession?

Color me confused

Nononnono, that was just my Freudian analysis, nothing that I would EVER want DR to spell out on screen. If he did, he's incredibly stupid.

Freud would probably say that Lorelai has a subconscious conflict rooted in the fact that Rory was born out of wedlock...and that part of her desire to have another baby would be to right the wrong theoretically. It's Freud. It's supposed to be hogwash Don't mind me. I like to swish around some psychotherapeutic into my GG analysis which, to some, may seem like a bunch of trash, but I find it fascinating. Rory has Daddy issues. Gigi's going to need severe therapy. Lorelai self-sabotages because she doesn't think she'll ever REALLY be good enough to have what she wants.

Though I know that Lorelai has never said she was proud of getting knocked up at 16 and I think she has spelled that out in previous seasons, as a way for ASP to express that, though it worked out for Lorelai, it's not exactly a choice a 16 year old should make herself. Family friendly audience and what not. But Lorelai has expressed that she loves Rory and she's lucky that she had Rory (and she's glad that she had Rory)..."My proudest mistake" is what I think she says in episode 3.04.

(Family friendly??? Well that went out the window the night Rory slept with a married guy...)
