While coming out of 'lurkmode'... I totally agree with the no SL for Rory and some of the other castmembers. I like the mother-daughter interaction (in ep 11). It reminded me a little of past seasons where there was so much more of that. The next ep. will have a lot more interaction between R/L/E, because in my POV those are often the best scenes (except ofcourse L/L 'cause I'm a total JJ ;-)... Christopher has annoyed me long enough and has to go. I'm glad he realizes that he's second choice, her rebound. Lorelai may be too stubborn or afraid to admit to herself that she's still IN love with Luke because she was uncertain of Luke's feelings for her, but certain of Chris' love. She doesn't want to 'end up' alone and settles with the feelings she has for Chris even though they're not the same as what she felt (and still feels) for Luke. In the scene where Luke calls her to thank her she seems so sad and torn apart I felt sorry for her. (And where is that EMMY?!!) I really hope L/L can become good friends again (losing the weirdness that hangs around them) and really really start talking about themselves and their feelings. Just wishfull thinking here... | "Who wants to kick January in the JUNK?" "I DO! I DO!" Not, again, the placement of Lauren's PRODUCING CREDIT gave it all away to me. She has a lot of pull. Not everyone handles power like Spider-Man. She now has the run of the show because the SHO-RUNNA decided to side with one of his stars. I do not fault him. However, at this point in the season, I feel the first impressions from JULY are somewhat accurate. I am not faulting Lauren for doing what she's doing. This is what she wants to do with her own show in the future. However, the entire promotion of this show revolves around her character now, and this was not the case in previous seasons. Again, the rest of the fans of this show, that do not put Lorelai and by association Luke front and centre...have to deal. That aside, Luke is at the hospital for the most obvious reason ever. HE's repaying Lorelai for that letter. That's how he rolls. If you do him a solid. He will do you a solid. Why it took me almost until the episode airs to figure this out...really annoys me. | |||

| I've never considered Luke to be a quid pro quo kinda guy. I think he'd be at the hospital even if there hadn't been the letter. The thaw between L/L had already begun so I don't think he needed a reason to go and see if he can help. | |||

| Trust me Caf - I'm far from insulted by anything JSW says. So, if Chris shows up at the hospital, gets upset by what he sees and just walks out and is gone again for two days - how does he know whether Richard is fine or not - or whether he is dying or not. I'm hoping there is an actual scene at the hospital between L/C - doesn't have to be a huge fight or anything - just some dialogue. I just can't see how he silently goes missing again for a few days (which I'm assuming is the case given the description for episode 14.) | |||

| Yeah, way more. Some of the episode descriptions are a bit unclear since they obviously can't put everything in it. But, we have heard for awhile now that the break up is not about her feelings for Luke, so the "discussion" will probably be mostly about other issues - at least I hope so. But "discussions" on this show have always been somewhat lacking for me - I always hope they will actually get into it more when people on this show talk about something important. Maybe 7.14 will do that - | |||
