Same here! High def TV is amazing. It's like 3D.

No, 3-D is like 3-D.

Foxy, if anything, us Sophies should learn from are distinguished colleagues from JJ nation, that...

* Flat-Screen TVs are a damning device that men use to weasel their way into women's lives.

* Love is complicated like Duplos.

* Women do not make choices. Men make the choices for the women. Which either drag them down to some level, or make them moralistically weak.

* Proclamations of love stemming from bizarre situations are always a 100% valid.

Finally...

* Chris is a meany. A mean meany...who needs to have his meany butt kicked. Because he's a meany.

Of course this is all grand conjecture on my part. However, Flat-Screens are evil, and I should hate myself for wanting the monitor I will have in a few days. 22 inches of flat-screen goodness...IS EVIL!

ETA: Seriously, the 3-D used in theatres now is wicked fierce. However, everytime I look at hi-def. I am always left with this feeling; "I need 1080i this badly...why?" All those years of seeing the best resolution money can buy aka a MOVIE SCREEN has to have had some effect on my general dislike of HI-DEF. Or it was alien testing. I am not sure which one. Truly...a kiwinky dink.

What's Duplos?

Lol Jason I didn't mean to start a beef with you about 3D. It's not movie theatre quality but it sure is nice. Especially on a 65-inch...

Duplos are the Dane building blocks of life. Outside of that...nothing worse than expecting a SNOW STORM and receiving an ICE STORM. Freakin expectations. Gilmore Girls related? LOGAN HUNTZBERGER FLIES A COPTER IN SNOW! Love...aint it grand?

Is the love that she feels for Christopher comparable with what she feels for Luke? I don’t think so. Thinking that Luke no longer loved her, she committed herself to Christopher and really tried to make her marriage work. She was happy and content with her marriage and Christopher as long as she didn’t allow herself to question her feelings for Luke. She tried to maintain some distance between herself and Luke and seemed awkward around him the few times they met. Maintaining her distance made it possible for her to continue denying her feelings for him.

In the kitchen scene with Christopher, I saw a woman who was torn between the fear of losing something she desperately wanted to work (her marriage) and knowing that Christopher was correct in what he was saying. Lorelai’s desperation for her marriage to work stemmed from her not wanting to: fail at another relationship, disappoint her parents and be old and alone. I think this conflict caused her not to push harder to stop Christopher from leaving.

Looking at Loreali’s facial expression and body language when Christopher confronted her about her feeling for Luke, she didn’t look him in the eyes and shifted around a bit. At the point when Christopher told her that he knew she was not done with Luke, she briefly looked away from him. When he told her that Luke was the reason she didn’t want to have a baby with him, she looked away again. When she quickly reiterated after him that she was not in love with Luke, she blinked.

Christopher witnessed her reactions and discomfort and instantly knew that she was lying. She also knew that what Christopher said was true but she couldn’t admit it to him because of the damage that it would cause to her marriage. Even though she tried to convince him that he was wrong, she didn’t act like she believed it herself (IMO) and so he didn’t believe her.

When Christopher walked out on her, she didn’t run after him pleading for him to stay. She halfhearted called his name after he closed the door and couldn’t hear her. She remained standing in the kitchen and let him go. She didn’t break down and cry when he left, she only looked sad. The next morning, she was still sad and obviously missed him but she was not devastated to the point that she was bedridden. I think part of her eagerness to answer the phone and disappointment when it wasn’t Christopher was that she was worried about his safety knowing how upset he was when he walked out of the house the night before.

Sure Lorelai loves Christopher and sure she’s upset and sad that he left but deep down inside she also knows that what she feels for him is not enough to sustain their marriage for the rest of their lives.
well said. I totally agree with you.

thanks lorelaisgirl for the tourinfo.

its hard to listen to the lines the woman sings in the promo and to find the song. if I knew what she is singing maybe google would help but mostly its just music playing to its not that easy to find out.

I'd say the walking out is not that uncommon, Luke went back to his place after the fought (ironically over Chris). Lorelai walking away from Luke in Partings. In both of these cases for the person left behind there was a level of trust and belief the other just needed to vent and cool down. In TPDR it worked and Lorelai came by a few hours later and thing were fine, in Parting not so much.

As for this week Lorelai probably expected him home and in bed the next morning or sleeping on the couch but he doesn't even answer his phone for how ever long. Maybe the reason Lorelai breaks if off is the trust she has built since their date in ep 4 is gone?

Exactly! I completely agree with you. After watching the episode this is how it came across to me.

I think this will probably be a big part of the reason why she breaks it off. I think she is going to have a big reality check the next episode. The fear of losing Richard, seeing how Logan is there completely for Rory, how she and Rory really needed Chris to be there and then on top of it all - Luke is there, beeing there for her and helping out her mother and her husband isn't there and she dosen't even know where he is. Like she says in the promo, "it's not okey". And then when the big scare is over and Richard is doing better and she and Chris talk - then I think she will FINALLY be honest, with herself and to Chris about EVERYTHING.

I've just come up with a thought (weird uh? ): this year, before S7 started, DR said that Lorelai was going to be pining on Luke.

As of yet I haven't seen anything even remotely resembling pining.
But if from 7.14 on she will admit (I still find this plot very stupid ) her feelings for Luke don't belong to the past and in 7.15 Chris will be gone, maybe we will see a bit of Lorelai pining for Luke?

I mean admitting her feelings for Luke does not mean she thinks Luke reciprocate her feelings too. Sure he'll show up in 7.13 to help but, well, that's Luke and she might think it's just him wanting to help, not something that comes out of his feelings for her (which I think Luke has buried deep down in his heart to quit suffering)
So she'll loose Chris and have plenty of time on her hands to think about Luke.

Not that I think she'll be constantly pining, I actually wanna see L/L gettin' backinto each other's life. But a little bit of pining on Lorelai's side wouldn't hurt, IMO. It would be like the angsty feelings we had in S1 until S4, but this time the role would be inverted

Yes Lorelai pining!

I also want jealous Lorelai, I so wanted Luke to date someone anyone while the C&L show was going on but with the NO contact for L&L for 5 eps totally wrecked things, it was unrealistic and now she's seeing Luke around town, since when? They met once on the street with the baby and then at the Mall, and the April stuff. WOW that's a lot in 8 months!

I'm hoping since we got the "First Luke's Coffee" moment that we still get the "Lorelai in the Diner for the first time since..." scene and the just don't skip it and make it like she's been going for months so time down the track.

okay time for bed, night all...

Well it makes sense that Lorelai has been seeing Luke around town occasionally and that we didn't witness. It's obvious they (DR&Co) are saving the LL moments for more than casually bumping into each other scenes.

Where the driveway/front lawn/yard of the Mansion is supposed to be, they’re setting up a motel room. Tour guide didn’t know for what or for who.
Maybe Rory and Paris (and perhaps Lucy) are going on spring break again. Episode 17 was the spring break episode from season 4. And Logan went off with the LDB in episode 18 for one last blast in season 6.
