Lauren said in an interview that she'd questioned ASP's directing with the lack of physical contact between Luke and Lorelai, and said she had to play it the way ASP wanted it. The true test will be when Luke and Lorelai get back together, with DR at the wheel. __________________ The whole business is built on ego, vanity, self-satisfaction and it's total crap to pretend it's not Icon by tv_lindy

And I didn't think it was condescending at all. I thought it was nice to help me out in case I had more questions - and linked me to the answers. (I had already asked about the picture).

| The way I see it, Jason, thanks for the dap, is these are LG's choices now, free of ASP's iron fist. So wipe the slate clean as far as how she acted against SP in the past, we have no idea how she's going to play things with him in the future. ASP's not around to make her do something. LG has a lot more input, she's got that producer credit now. The way she touches him in the promo in particular is the way you touch someone you don't want to walk out that door. Which isn't the way this is supposed to be playing out. I've thought for a long time that she's been selling the hell out of her preferred pairing and in her few scenes with Luke has been flat. I like L/L in the first 3-4 seasons of the show. But I think their chemistry is very off this season, not just because of the place the characters are at in their relationship, but because the actors both are playing them as if they don't have the history we all know they do. But more neighborly aquaintences. There's more history/chemistry between Chris & Luke than there's been played between Lorelai & Luke. And I think a lot of that has to do with LG's acting choices. Which she's getting to make more of this season than in the past. And I don't think it bodes well for the eventual reunion of L/L. Quote:

and Remember the kiss from 6.09 after the fight about Chris's call ? Amy was not amused about the first version they shot because it was too hot. So they had to re-shoot the scene and we only got those pecks.__________________ “I don’t get it.” - “I know. That’s why you’re hopping.” Last edited by Cappuccino : 01-30-2007 at 03:45 PM.

Thanks Mag and Peachy for the clips! They were AWESOME! I loved the "my god this coffee is good" and "yeah, it better be, i got it from luke" ![]() The episode sounds already great! I completely misjudged it, because the DC where Lorelai mocks Chris for using her conditioner was slow and lame.__________________ Wilson: No, you're not afraid of authority, you're afraid she actually is right for you. I do agree with you about the acting choices of LG/director/writer/whomever, although I've found most of LG's scenes with Luke to be good. Some of the Chris scenes conveyed that there were problems, some seem to convey that they are happily married. It is confusing. I don't know how it will affect an eventual L/L reconciliation. I'm guessing since DS will be off the screen, most of us JJ's will willingly forget all of the L/C scenes, we won't have anything to compare it too, and will probably be happy with what we get. I didn't see the chemistry for R/L in S5 because of those times AB pulled back, but I've seen the chemistry in S6 & 7. Perhaps LG will get some tips from AB, lol. But I do agree that it doesn't make sense from a sl POV, especially the flatscreen scene in the DC. It was jarring after the wistful snow scene, and doesn't make sense. __________________ Avi by MaRie Andy/Nina Everwood

| all I can say is this season is finally starting to look up. Just with those few clips it;s looking like it's old self alittle. Crossing my fingers I'm right. __________________ In that moment, my triumph was not a state championship, but simple clarity. | "Do you remember that guy?" "Yeah, what happened to him?" "Won." "Yeah...good share." Mirella, if you did not feel condescended to...I resend that statement. Condescending? Where? HERE. No, down HERE. Okay. Damsel, you are condescending with that response like you were with the KAB thing the other night. Again, if this is not your intention, then I may be mistaken. However, again, outside of the prisms of wants and desires for the character Lauren plays. She clearly -- obviously -- is much more touchy feely with David then she has been with Scott for quite some time. I may not visit your forum, but I do want Luke and Lorelai together. However, I cannot shake, that Lauren comes across much more realistic in her romantic gesticulations with David then with Scott. It's not like this will keep SHO____RUNNA from putting Luke and Lorelai back together. It just means Lauren likes David but Scott...not so much. Again, it would seem, that Kristen has a source. I am sticking with the woman that does not hate my ship or me for being of a fan of this show. Last edited by TheJSW : 01-30-2007 at 03:49 PM. | |||

I wonder which one.And they should have had you directing the 7.15 - Chris is heading for Fiji episode. Oh and welcome in this insanity asilum aka the GG boards, Mirella! __________________ Wilson: No, you're not afraid of authority, you're afraid she actually is right for you. I'm sure L/L shippers will, as you say, see what they want to see. We all do it. I tend to think of the ESH porch kiss, which I don't think is anymore intimate than the various L/C kisses, but always expect to be a scorcher after I read L/L shippers talking about it. I just don't see it, it comes off as easily familiar, to me, not Lorelai wanting to drag Luke inside and rip his clothes off. But then I guess I always judge on screen kissing against the J/A kissing on Farscape, and nothing compares to that. __________________ Written in the Stars icon by shinystar
