There's two DC's up! Quick recaps for anyone that can't get to them:

CL. Chris is putting up the flat screen. They joke about it and Paul Anka. CL get sickeningly cutesy and kissy. Apparently he smells familiar, he's using her hair conditioner she guesses. He asks if she doesn't like to share. She says she's married and Loves to share. She jokes about how his hair is short. She says ILY, kisses him and goes off to babysit. (they're wearing the same outfits as in the promo. Chris comes to his senses awfully quick I guess).

A/L: Anna and Luke outside of the court room, sitting on a bench in the hallway. They're waiting to go in. Anna says that this is pointless, there's no reason to be there. Anna says Luke started this thing by getting a lawyer. Luke says that it's the only way he can see his kid. She says he doesn't have a chance, that he's him, a hermit, lives above a diner, not a picture of "capable father." He says he's been nothing but a good father to April. Anna says that he's not going to get any points for his history with women. Luke says he doesn't know what she's talking about. "Bailed on Lorelai, got divorced in a heartbeat."/"I did not bail on Lorelai"/"You've had no longer term relationships, Luke. Why would a judge trust you to have one with April?" Luke starts to defend himself, but then the lawyers up to them, and say hello to Anna and eachother. The court policeman guy comes out and asks if they're ready, Luke goes in really fast, followed by the other three.

Why aren't they "promoting" Richard's collapse? Isn't that supposed to happened at the end of the next episode and wouldn't that be something that would catch the viewers' eyes?

7.12 - DC Clip transcript - Flat Screen!

LORELAI'S HOUSE – LIVING ROOM
[Lorelai comes down the stairs]

LORELAI: Oh my God the eagle has landed.

CHRISTOPHER: Yes they delivered it while you were in the shower.

LORELAI: They deliver it or throw it.

CHRISTOPHER: Come with a lot of equipment, isn’t it beautiful.

LORELAI: Yeah and big.

CHRISTOPHER: All the better to watch Reggie Bush score touch downs on.

LORELAI: I forget which one of Bush daughters is Reggie?

CHRISTOPHER: Ah you’re gonna love it, have you seen the level?

LORELAI: Um the thing with the green bubble that goes back and forth?

CHRISTOPHER: Ha.

LORELAI: Yeah Paul Anka and I were playing with it.

CHRISTOPHER: You were playing with it with the dog.

LORELAI: Yes I was I was trying hypnotize him with the bubble.

CHRISTOPHER: Ah-Ha

LORELAI: I was trying to talk him out of chewing on the corner of the welcome mat. Or I was trying to get him a wacky post hypnotic suggestion like when the door bell rings her spins around in circles.

CHRISTOPHER: Were we able to hypnotize him?

LORELAI: No Chris he’s a dog, alright I think you have this under control, I’m gonna go sit on some babies.

CHRISTOPHER: Alright you go do that and when you get back we’ll sprawl out on the couch and watch some flat screen plasma TV and the world as you know it will never be the same.

[They kiss]

LORELAI: You smell good.

CHRISTOPHER: Yeah.

[They kiss again]

LORELAI: Familiar, is that my conditioner?

CHRISTOPHER: Maybe I don’t know.

LORELAI: Are you using my conditioner.

CHRISTOPHER: Sometimes, what you don’t like to share?

LORELAI: No I’m married now I love to share.

CHRISTOPHER: So what’s so funny.

LORELAI: Because you don’t have that much to condition.

CHRISTOPHER: Well I know that.

LORELAI: It’s just been really unrulely lately.

CHRISTOPHER: Okay I’ve got work to do here.

LORELAI: Alright listen I love that you’re using my conditioner and I love you are putting up this Jumbotron thingy all by your self and I can’t wait to come home and watch flat sports with you and I love you, good bye.

[They kiss again]

CHRISTOPHER: I will be here.

LORELAI: Hey if you feel like shaving I’ve got a brand you Lady Schick in the draw, feel free to use it.

CHRISTOPHER: I might just do that.

7.12 - DC Clip transcript - Lawyers are Fun!

COURT HOUSE - HALLWAY
[Luke is waiting, his is in a suit and Anna enters]

LUKE: Oh hey

ANNA: Hello Luke.

LUKE: [Sounding awkward] There not, I’m mean we’re not…

ANNA: Oh are we early?

LUKE: Yeah I guess, or they’re behind. [small laugh]

[They sit down, awkward silence]

LUKE: Did you park in the garage.

ANNA: Hmm.

LUKE: I mean do I get this thing stamped or.

ANNA: I don’t know I didn’t park in the garage.

LUKE: Okay.

[Silence again]

LUKE: Man this place hey.

ANNA: Yeah what a waist of time.

LUKE: Yeah.

ANNA: Specially since there is no reason for it.

LUKE: Well I mean.

ANNA: But you have to finish what you started right.

LUKE: What I started?

ANNA: Oh yes when you hired a lawyer.

LUKE: Well I had to hire a lawyer it was the only way I could see my kid.

ANNA: [Scoffs] I mean come on do you really thing you have a chance?

LUKE: Well that’s for a judge to decide.

ANNA: Well step back take a look at it. Look at you’re self you’re you. Hermit living above a diner in some old converted hardware store it doesn’t exactly paint a picture of capable father.

LUKE: It doesn’t matter where I live and I’ve been nothing but a good father to April.

ANNA: And you know what you’re not gonna get any points for you history with woman either.

LUKE: I don’t know what you’re talking about.

ANNA: You bailed on Lorelai, got divorce in a heart beat.

[The Lawyers walk up]

BARBARA: Hi Anna, all set.

COURT OFFICER: The judge is ready for you.

JIM: Perfect timing.

[They all enter lead by Luke, the door is closed]

That seems ridiculous to me. But it's really indicative of the theme of this entire season. There's nothing more important than LLC. Even the fight between Luke and Anna wasn't just about the custody battle. It was about LLC.

Ok, so, I don't have the time to read through the entire thread and see people's thoughts on this...so sorry if it's been discussed to death, but here's my 2 cents:

But a season 8 without Rory? That's absolutely ridiculous! The show is about Lorelai/Rory, not Lorelai/Luke, or Lorelai/Chris, or any other possible pairing. It's about Lorelai/Rory, and the third most important character, if you ask me, is Emily.

If they can't get AB for one more season, they need to end it with this one. The whole idea is abslolutely ridiculous!

But it was already mentioned in the ep description, so why not show something about it?

And has it ever happened before that there were two DC?

The promo, and both DCs all about LL/C.

Because there's already Sookie bribing Lorelai with Luke's coffee, the flatscree scene with Lorelai/Chris, the scene with Luke/Anna before curt, then there must be one with Chris finding the letter, while showing the court again, and the one with Lorelai and Chris fighting, maybe one with Lorelai watching the kids actually, so that doesn't leave much room for anything with Richard before he's going to collapse.

Plus Paris helping Rory convince Lucy to forgive her. I really think they have to do something with Richard and Rory on campus before the collapse. It's been way too long since they said anything about Richard teaching at Yale (and they've never shown it). But, I guess I won't be that shocked if they don't...

Also Lorelai getting Jackson to tell her what's up with Sookie. Lorelai finding out about Richard collapsing. Rory and Paris. Rory and Lucy.

They really have been packing a lot into these eps... last night was I sure that the mall scene would be like 10 seconds, but I was pleasantly surprised. Hopefully, it'll be the same next with with Richard.

I think both scenes [anna/luke + LC] arent necessary if you ask me. both is pointless because first of all we already know anna is a bitch and kept april from luke and thinks he's not good enough and the flatscreen scene also has nothing important to say. both of it is boring. IMO. been there. got to know those facts. I really would have also liked some richard/rory at yale stuff before he collapses than those scenes. its pointless because we already know lorelai is trying to make her marriage work and luke and anna fighting over april.

I totally forgot the Lucy part and Paris too, way too long since she made an appearance as well, but the ep is gonna to be totally packed.

About Lorelai finding out about Richard, I thought that might be in 7x13, guess that depends if the last scene is with Richard or the one with Chris storming out and Lorelai maybe getting a phone call from Rory.

I hope we see Richard/Rory together before it happens, would be nice and actually the first time, what a shame.

I think the Anna/Luke scene wasn't completely pointless, just because of the sweet feeling of victory we'll have when we seem Anna being totally taken off guard because of the letter and the outcome of the case.

And the CL one is odd because it shows just how good things were going, and then how bad things will be once she returns to the CS. Both scenes are providing good parallels to the outcomes we already know.

But I do wish we could have more Richard stuff. I've always loved Richard/Rory scenes, and the ones at yale in season 4 were some of my favorites. I hope we have more as far as Rory/Richard than just Rory in class before he collapses.

What I like about the flat screen on is it's the LAST kiss these two will share

and with Luke he was so controlled and jumped to defend Lorelai, I guess she doesn't know what went down with them.
