It'll be a simple crush, she will not fall in love with the TA, but still she'll have a crush on one hand and a big, adult relationship in the other and this will lead her to pond things, to put them in perspective. Maybe she'll learn also something. As someone said before: maybe this experience will make her see life in a less of a "black or white".

My question - could Chris be compared to Rory's TA, with the "small difference", that Lorelai brought her "crush" (according to a dictionary definition "a strong but temporary attraction for someone") about "succesful" conclusion?

Maybe own experience helps Rory to understand Lorelai's split feelings much better finally?

I really don't want that the TA experience can have something to do with Lorelai, since almost all this half of the season has been related to her.

I really don't think that the TA SL can be interesting for Rory but if it's going to happen then I expect that she can learn something important for her personal life and then the writers, instead, can get focused in her future outside college, what about the whole what I'm going to do after college?

Maybe the TA will be gay. We haven't had that storyline yet as opposed to the neverending third wheel/torn between two lovers storylines.

If that's the case, and I wouldn't be surprised if it was. It would fit well with Rory's SL this year. But that means the writers have no recollection of Rory's previous SLs. S2 and 3 had Rory having feelings for two guys throughout pretty much the entire time. She already understands split feelings. But, with the care the writers have been giving her, this seems VERY likely. Especially since the Marty SL seems to be about LLC.

How has the marty sl been about llc? I don't see that at all. To me it was all about rory and her inability to tell him and most people in her life to just F-off. She should have said you know what you're a jackass...and Lucy I do know marty. He had a thing for me, pretended to be my friend and when he couldn't get in my pants he took off.

It's starting to seem like the whole thing with Marty was so Rory could tell Lorelai, "If the Lucy situation taught us anything, it's that lying is bad."

But how to explain Lorelai's sudden decision marrying Chris in France? She didn't marry him 22, 10 or 6 years ago. So the question is, why didn't she find him "attractive" as a husband before? I think, after break-up with Luke she had to feel something comparable to a crush, and saw Chris in different light at this moment. But all we know, her fascination won't last very long, like really crush.
