The SotU actually starts at 9pm, the other networks just usually have a lead-in to the SotU or air repeats against Idol in the 8pm timeslot.

The questions are pretty much throwaway, no brainers. I wouldn't be surprised if these were "planted" questions and he isn't bothering to answer or post any interesting ones. Seriously, are people really interested in whether one of Babette's cats die or Michel's dogs? Is that really the burning question fans all want answered?

ITA. They must be planted. Which in itself is dumb, because the die-hard fans are on sites like these and know info that is light years ahead of what he gives us. So why cover up?

It may end up being that the only thing he'll be good for is telling us ASP's last two (or was it four?) words of the series. Then maybe I'll love him again.

They most definitely are picked out of a box (or planted if noone actually asked them)

It's way too obvious that MA knows DILTCH about upcoming episodes that we don't already know (and I guess he hasn't been checking our forum lately since he seems further behind on spoilers than we are). He's skipping the questions he can't answer, because nothing's worse than having a question answered with "Honestly, I have no clue."

Maybe here embarrassed that we keep getting spoilers before him, last week he had news and was surprised we were already talking about it.

That was so funny, when MA said something like "they're fast!" in the podcast. Woosh.
Okay. I sent MA 2 emails in the last two weeks; the first one contained questions about Rory, Davey's goldfish and Lorelai going back to the diner; in the second one I stated that ChinChin is going to die and I asked how that, in any way, is funny.

MA will prolly pull the last question out of his hat one week before ChinChin dies, or the AA after ChinChin dies.

Didn't MA say there was gonna be an asterisk-worthy event in February?

ETA - oh sorry it was Nicolalala who told us and here I am bashing MA
Still, I though the same thing

Probably because it always annoys me, if he's talking about things that we already know of

ETA: Will GG have a winter-press tour session like in former years?

Thanks for sharing the tentative scheduling info, Curlyhead.

If it goes through, I wonder if it means we're most likely to get the last twelve episodes (I feel, ever) in a consecutive, back to back run? No long hiatus? I'd like that.

Should we start thinking about bringing in grief counselors?

I watched the repeat of Merry Fisticuffs last night, just to see what I thought the second time around. 1. Christopher definately started the fight, and, wow was it depressing and grim! Has the show totally lost it's sence of humour? There wasn't one chuckle in this ludicrous fight between 2 grown men rolling all over Christmas decorations. and 2. everyone was way too mean to Lorelai about the whole party/Emily's advise thing. First of all, she was stuck wearing the ugliest most matronly dress I've ever seen her in, and second, she spent the whole show rubbing Chris's arm and just about begging him to like her and accept her as she is (although unable to actually zipper her lip about what she really felt and wanted). As usual, it's Lorelai having to apologize for being Lorelai, while everyone else trumpets their agendas freely. And how sloppy has the show gotten? Are we to presume that Emily actually lurked out on the veranda for HOURS at night, in December? Presumably it was late enough at night that Rory was suprpised Lorelai was at the inn and that Luke and Chris could have a fist fight in the town square and there not be a single person out to see them or stop them. And why would Emily presume she'd catch Lorelai on her own to give her the lecture? And why didn't Lorelai see Emily's car? And Emily is not a lurker or even a patient waiter, the popping out at Lorelai was ridiculous. Emily would have stood on the step for 2 minutes and then started calling Lorelai at every number she had for her. They are sloppy with their characterizations and their story lines.

So is this the calm before the storm right now, or was down again?

Nothing new from Ausiello, what a surprise.

Ckomodo, the Emily/Lorelai scene on the porch was the first scene I saw in a long time and actually recognized a glimpse of the old show.

Oh I loved the Emily/Lorelai scene also. And sure, why didn't Lorelai see Emily's car is a valid question, but I felt Lorelai looked kind of absentminded when she walked up there ... so that problem was fixed for me

I guess I view scenes differently. I am not thinking how did she know Lorelai was back yet and stuff like that. I am more thinking what does this mean? What is Lorelai thinking and well Emily of course in that scene ... that was I guess what the writers thought we should see and know.

ETA thanks for the new thread Caf and am loving this title Jason!
