Yes, you're right. I forgot that's what DSR said, plus the way Rory and Logan ended their dinner at the restaurant. But isn't Marty only back for a few episodes? I think we've seen him in two already. Do you think he's going to try again and confess his feelings to Rory?

I don't think so. I am thinking that his job is already done with respect to the problem he caused with Rory and Logan. But he also created problems between Rory and her new friends. It still seems a strange way to bring him back into the show just to be a plot device to cause problems for Logan and her friends and then leave.

I don’t think Marty would drop any innuendos to Logan about Rory’s crush on the TA because how would he know about it; certainly not from Rory. After the fiasco of keeping their friendship secret from Lucy, I don’t think Rory would trust him to tell him about her feelings for the TA and I would certainly hope that Lucy or Olivia would not betray her trust if they knew about it.

Marty’s only connection so far with Rory is through Lucy and if Rory and Lucy are going to remain friends, maybe the purpose of this SL is about Rory’s ability to build new friendships/relationships that are based on honesty and trust and not being afraid to be true to herself in the face of adverse/problematic situations and confronting them instead of running away from them???

Maybe Logan himself overhears Rory sharing her confidence with Lucy or Olivia about her feelings for the TA.
Honestly, I still can't make head or tails of it either. All the Marty-Lucy stuff in 7.10 plays as setup for a "resolution" later on, 'cause obviously nothing in that regard is resolved in 7.11 (at least not on camera.) I just don't see any resolution or payoff to all that setup that would be dramatically satisfactory in any way. It seems at the moment like a big waste of time, really. I guess the writers could dazzle me later with their cleverness and come up with a satisfactory payoff and resolution, but I'm not holding my breath waiting for that to occur.

It felt to me like they were trying to leave us with a cliffhanger coming into hiatus. But it was very uneffective and it also screwed them for having a satisfying resolution to that fight with the time skip. It just feels really poorly planned. And it's upsetting because either we miss the resolution or, for some reason, Logan and Rory have undone all of their growth this season and are willing to stew without resolution for weeks. Either way it's not good.

I completely agree. Poor planning all around. And why is Rory waiting an entire month before trying to make things right with Lucy? It doesn't seem logical and once again seems the result of poor time-planning on the part of the writers.

2ggObsessed, he's been in 3 episodes, thus far. We have no clue if he'll be back at this point. I wouldn't be surprised either way.

I guess she didn't want to write her a letter while she was away on vacation with Logan. I guess Logan distracted her in more fun ways. When she got back from her vacation and knowing she'll soon have to see Lucy at school, she probably thought the best thing to do was write Lucy the letter to clear the air.

ETA

Thanks for the correction lemon_tart.

This brings me back to the problem that Marty was supposedly going to cause between Logan and Rory. It would appear that nothing came of it since they spent their Christmas together out of the country. So what exactly was the purpose of his revealing the secret as no real problem in RL's relationship ever materialized; only with Lucy.

Some things don't make since to me.

I read a spec(spoiler) whatever, Chris get's the boot in 7.13. L/L are still not together by 7.15. Only 7 eppys left. Is that enough time for them to heal(if they do).

Rory seems to be an afterthought this season(imo). not much of Snookie.

BTW: I stll love this show(just don't watch it for now).

This is just my opnion, not flaming anyone.

Thanks.

That sounds like it could be hilarious. Dogs dying, not cool... But Michel throwing a memorial, and probably no body caring, especially Lorelai with everything going on with Lorelai and Chris...I can't wait!

I don't think that's "funny".

On another note, You know what I just noticed. GG is one of the last shows to come back from hiatus. That is so not fair.

Thank you, Nicolalala

I don't think that's a funny death. Michel's going to be devastated.

Thanks, Nicolalala!

Poor Chin-Chin. Michel loved that dog. Hopefully the "funny" part of the death is something not directly related to the death of the dog. But rather something funny that happens at the memorial.

Thanks for that.

That's very sad, but I wonder how he dies. Does Davy's goldfish attack him? j/k
