Age has nothing to do with it, if you can't make a relationship work and if you can't love each other enough to get over the hurdles. And I still fail to see how Rory and Logan's life would be diminished if they remain together. They apparently have no trouble attempting and reaching their goals now, and they're together. The only thing stopping Rory is her own insecurities.

yeah that would be nice to know. I only saw season one in german. and sometime the translation really sucks. but it looked like a cardiac arrest.

Well, they haven't done so up to this point, while Rory and Logan have. But, of course, the latter must break up because nothing breeds failure like success.

He had a "touch" of angina in Forgiveness&Stuff. I'm 100% positive about it.

Stephanie you're right: I doubt too that DR has the insight to make it about Rory and about Christopher obligation as a family man toward his WHOLE family, and not only toward Lorelai.

This is the first time I actually put it in a family perspective instead of a relationship perspective.
My bad: I'm married and I have a dog but I have not kids. And as much as I consider hubby and I a family there are no kids involved yet.

I have realized now that Chris has behaved like a boyfriend first and then husband - a jelous and insecure one, but still - toward Lorelai, leaving the whole concept of family and the responsibilities related to that, outside the window.

It's like there's them - Chris and Lor - plus his kid from a previous marriage plus their kid who's more Lorelai's kid than his.
But that's a group, even one where there's love shared at some level - but that's not a family.

Once. They broke up once. And since they were broken up Logan, sleeping with other people is beside the point. How long should he have waited to return back to his old life after he thought it was all over with Rory? Years? As for Rory, she actually was trying to cheat, it seems. BUT -- and this is the most important part of that whole piece of crap, they called a storyline -- she didn't. She didn't. She didn't. She went back to Logan and they worked it out.

Don't worry. We're trying to speculate who the 'tinman' is because according to the theory, we need someone in the cast who needs a 'heart.' I guess we're stuck.

That said, I wouldn't be surprised if the answer is Richard (literally or figuratively) or Emily (figuratively). Emily getting the heart, or Richard, would be in them accepting Luke and accepting Lorelai's choices in life even if she chooses differently than how they wish. Or, it could be literal in that Richard needs a new heart (I doubt it) or some kind of cardiac surgery (which isn't uncommon for someone his age)

This only works if DR actually considered the Wizard of Oz as a theme this season, which we wouldn't know for sure. The allusion is quite remarkable and it fits with the stories that need to be told, but that doesn't mean he thought of it when he planned the story arc.

I think there's no need to wish luck and happiness to L/L and the opposite for Rory and Logan.

I've loved every minute of R/L and, honestly, last year, even when they broke up, and this year, they were the only refreshing moment btw a movie date and a wedding in Paris.

I'm not a sophie, I'm a JJ. But I can't help but appreciating the R/L couple: they gave us romance and chemistry and drama.
Something that was lacking in LL last year.
