I agree. I think plenty of people have had sex without loving each other. Especially on tv shows when they're distraught about another relationship.

I don't think Lorelai even knows what love is. She's contradicted herself too many times.

Not much the way she left in a hurry and the look on her face the next morning and at the door.

Plus "Let's not make more out of it than it was." and "I'm just saying, I don't think it should happen again."

Lets face it that night she USED Chris for a quick screw!

I don't think it's a question of whether or not she loves Chris. It's whether she loves him enough, and apparently she doesn't.

My point was that how could we believe that she really loved Luke? Well, I could be wrong but I think that at that point Lorelai was still too selfish to love someone.

Caf, you could think that chris was just a teen crush, I am not sure if the first, but at that age, and living all the situations that they lived, I am pretty sure that we could say that Chris was Lorelai's "first love", the same that Dean was Rory's one.

exactly, how could we think that she was saying some of all those ILYs in a real and sincere way, the same for the ILYs to Luke and for Chris... JMO.

She didn't love enough Luke to wait for him to be ready and she didn't love enough Chris to stay with him... I agree.

maybe it is but the same is for Chris...

one guy (Luke) mature enough but with issues to share his life
other guy (Chris) wanting to share his life with her but inmature...

She 'loves' both guys but she love none of them enough to skip those "deficits"

But in the whole town that is crazy is Lorelai above or below the average and how would Luke rate in the crazy scale?
