About that interview with Lauren. I'm still optimistic about an 8th season

She said similar things in season 6. The work schedule is crazy and she missed out on a lot of family and friends events but she likes to work on the Gilmore girls and at the Launch party she was very optimistic about another season. I don't think she's going to change her mind about it. The rest of the season is looking good. Scott is looking forward to another season. Rosie said he's in if it's going to happen. Lauren got a deal for her own show and I think she had to give the network something in respond.

gilmore girls has to go on another season for me to make it to the set, i live in australia fully obsessed with the show coming to america next year just so i can go to the set!!

Craig, interestingly enough, that's why HD and BLU-RAY disc generally lack in extras. Since they assumed that people are buying the movies for the PICTURE more than the EXTRAS. Again, extras, cost a lot of money to make. Thus the reason why 2-disc are no longer the norm. Nevertheless, there is nothing wrong with extras, but this show has never been about the EXTRAS. It may be this year depending on what SHO-RUNNA wants to do. Nevertheless, it is what it is, and this show sells because we care. Awwwwwww...

I look at it this way another season of Gilmore Girls which may not be the greatest vs more movies / other projects for the cast to be involved in outside the show. I don't mind either way

More movies that 1 out of 5 times generally suck? I would take this show over their mostly bad or unseen movies any day of the week. Because I Said SO looks to be another one of those BRUTAL entries into GG actour lexicon. Totally...brutal.

Well it's to each their own in terms of their tastes of movies - but I'd rather a movie or a variety of projects than only a handful of good episodes in a season to watch. Then again I might just turn my attention to Amy's project if it gets picked up

Well the down side to other project from a fan POV is you never know when or how many they may have or how good they are gonna be or even if you will like the character or theme of the movie/project. With another season we have some understanding of the character and what well see.

But for the star then get to do what they love, act! in general actors love to play different parts. There is also the question as to whether the movie or other project will be a hit or not or even if they will get more work.

Of course it's all down to them it's their life and their choice.

Lauren is in a great position having a production company so can work behind the camera or a guess in front at any time.

Alexis is young and I'm sure she'll have many doors open to her for future work where ever that may take her.

Now from my POV I'd love another season, not just to have more of L&L but for the whole show which I love and frankly not ready to let go of yet.

Especially when Lorelai zones out for a sec just because she can already taste it in her mouth. Or when she finally gets her first sip after how many months without it ? and it satisfies her more than his 2 minute act

Now that I think about it: don't stop. I like Chris and I don't like this storyline - bring him in just to have him shipped to Fiji in a few eps - but your irony makes it a lot more lighter.
