Miss Diaz, it's not that I am negative, as much as I am aggrevated. There is absolutely no basis for RORY to get INTENSE about any other GUY. Again, if she just finds him hot, then this will be blown all out of proportion. That **** happens. ETA: I will add that I do have a tendency to SALT THE EARTH over certain news, then come back to it later less aggrevated or aggitated. It's a part of my ridiculous process. Again, I would not exchange any marginal screen time with VOLTRON for any other couple on this show. The thing of it is; while Eureka and Renton are learning to complete one another. Rory apparently is all of a sudden indecisive about a guy who she claimed could be the ONE? The job stuff I get. This...this storyline...is just freakin silly.

However, if sees him as more than hot, and if she thinks about doing what people do with INTENSE CRUSH. This ship is pretty much over. There's no point in it. Since the writers decided to make Rory a vapid twit, that needs to go through something an 8 year-old goes through in order to understand attraction. If Rory does not get that you can find other people attractive at this point. Or if she needs to cement something as Prof. and other's have pointed out. What kind of relationship with Rory and Logan have then? Oh, wow, Rory decided to not a **** a guy, and stay with Logan. When the previous statement never entered her mind over the last 2 years. Again, this makes no sense, and it is very helpful for a guy. Who would not mind being called SHO-RUNNA one day. This is not how you treat an ensemble show. It's simply not.

Of course, much like the Philadelpia E-A-G-L-E-S...EAGLES, the demise of VOLTRON could be greatly exaggerated. SHO-RUNNA could easily turn everything around in the second-half. He could even make this ****ty spoiler, polish it up, and turn it into a half-way decent storyline. WE simply have to get there, and hope he has some GARCIA MAGIC creatively. If not, the first-half was not that bad, but the second-half could easily drag season seven into a tie with 3 for the worst season of this show. Worst being an objective term. Still, SHO-RUNNA, has a lot of payoff to handle. Payoff I am not sure he wants to deal with...unless it involves Lauren Graham.

ETA: Tanja, I do not sense it's a bad sign for season eight. I sense that Lauren (even giving a little dap to Kim) is putting feelers out there for cash. If Lauren and Kim can get paid more next year than any movie work the could possibly do with in the same year. There will be a season eight. That's my conjecture on this whole deal.

Nevertheless, she did state, that CW wants another year of the show. If they need another year of the show. They will have to PAY for another year of the show. Since, in a way, you can look at Warners not paying Amy and Dan for the next two years as Warnrs clearing up the CASH to pay everyone for one LAST SEASON. Everything else Amy and Dan wanted behind the scenes has already happen. I doubt they will be proven wrong with a season eight.

From comingsoon.net

Exclusive: Lauren Graham on Gilmore Girls
Source: Heather Newgen
January 9, 2007

If you're a big fan of "Gilmore Girls," then you're probably going to be really bummed to know that this could be the last season of The CW's hit show. As of now, it is unclear as to what's going to take place, but while promoting her new film, Because I Said So, Lauren Graham talked to ComingSoon.net exclusively about the future of the seven-year series.

"I don't know [if this will be the last season] because it has been expressed to me that they would like another season, but then there's nothing that's happened toward that. I'm not sure. I don't know what would make my decision clearer," Graham told us. "There's so many elements and I'm not sure where to get started. I mean if I was 100% convinced that I would like to do another season I guess I could say that, but I don't know if I feel that way. I think Alexis [Bledel] feels mixed as well."

What is clear, is that Graham is ready for other projects and a lighter schedule.

"It's just such a strange thing because there's so few times as an actor where you have structure and a job that you can feel proud of. There's plenty of reasons to continue and I guess it's kind of a luxury problem, but it is a very difficult schedule and I'd almost rather do something where I'm not the lead. It becomes a life issue a little bit," she confessed.

"You feel bad as an actor thinking about your life when there are so many unemployed actors are out there. It's like you're life, who cares. You have a job. It's a struggle. It's a hard thing to know what the right thing to do is. This has been an exceptionally difficult experience. Most one hour shows are more ensemble. You don't work quite so much. For years and years and years of this, it takes a toll. It's fun to think about other projects and other things that could happen, but you don't know. It's just a really strange time and I'm not sure what will make it clearer."

So what about us dedicated fans and will we be satisfied with the way the show could wrap up this year?

"I don't know. I think in general when someone is a fan of something they kind of want it to continue. We seem to have a really core group of loyal fans which is just interesting to me. Even when 'American Idol' is on, our numbers are still about the same. So that means people really stick with the show and I do feel a responsibility to that. Was anyone happy with the end of 'Sex and the City'? I would rather leave people feeling like 'I wish that they would have continued' than leave people feeling like, 'wow they really did it beyond when the time was.'"

If this is the season finale, Graham said she'd be alright with where the story ends.

"If you took all the other elements away like money and job security and stuff like that, Alexis' character is about to graduate from college. That to me seems to be the place to end it because then what? Then she moves back to town. That seems perfect, you know. It makes sense and that would be an event and then you sort of see that character goes off and does whatever she's going to do. I don't know. It's very weird."

While it is uncertain as to what's going to happen with the show, viewers can look forward to a few more new episodes. Universal Pictures' Because I Said So opens in theaters on February 2.

Tanja, yup, it's very much about the money. I do not blame them for wanting to get paid. If the WB sells 1 million units of any GG season. That's 40 million or more of profit. Pure profit. Since Warners most likely does not considering paying for encoding, encryption, and manufacturing of the disc. Disc which are rather cheap. They also are a part of a conglomerate, that owns paper plants thanks to being in the magazine business. So, all that profit, and the actors probably get a big SQUADOOCHE from it.

If I were LG and KAB. I would ask for DVD money as well as money from any other future home video incarnations of GG on DVD. That alone would give them a steady revenue stream for years. IF they decided to go that route.

So, the money, technically is out there. All Warners has to do is treat these two women and the rest of the cast (sans Scott possibly because of him ALLEGEDLY having a season eight option) with a little bit of fiscal respect. If not, good bye show. If so, hello...season eight!

But who buys DVDs without extras ?? Or the crappy S6 ??? Not me....

But I think LG and AB can´t find a better job than this, yes they want to do other stuff, but if the CW offers them a S8 with a big bonus, they would be stupid not to take it.....and with S8 they can end this show IMO with a happy ending for everyone......

Actually Tnaja, they have commissioned studies (they being the movie studios), and have discovered that not everyone cares for special features. Most of the time, regular fans of a film, only care to have the movie itself, and not the special features attached to it. This is explains why many 2 DISC special editions and single disc editions are now sold. Since the 2-disc were getting too much for the studios, and they had to figure out a way to keep the REVENUE STREAMS A PUMPING without costing them an arm and two legs.

So, you and I, are rarities in the DVD game. However, as I have pointed out to frustratingly levels, no one buys these DVDs for the extras. People buy this shows DVDs in particular for the SHOW...itself. A show many of you in this thread have stated to watching again and again and again. The show sells the DVDS not the EXTRAS. Again, season six, outsold a show that has 3 times as many viewers second season set. That's because the audience is loyal, and the audience wants the EPISODES.

Not that I have anything wrong with the extras. The simple fact remains that these DVDs sell. If I were a manager of the talent on this show. I sure the hell would ask for a GROSS POINT or TWO from the DVD sales. I would be foolish not too.

And to answer your rather odd preface Tanja. I buy the DVDs. However, who buys crappy horrour films on DVD? Not me! Thus the fallacy because I would never buy crappy horrour films on DVD because I do not like horrour. Tranfix and transpose the point of this at your leisure.

That does make me wish we can change the name of this thread to the RANDOM DECLARATIONS ABOUT THINGS AND GILMORE GIRLS THREAD! Here's my random declaration; I LIKE THE HULK!

Well I must be different then, they first thing I do when I pick up any DVD is flip it over to see what you get, the extra, format and sound.

I'm hoping that one day they release the series on HD-DVD in the original HD WS format with loads of extras that have become the nor for many series/movies.
