From how I interpreted what LG said, it doesn't sound like a hope in heck that there will be a new season. Maybe it was all "bargaining" talk on her part, but from what I read between the lines, she's done and so is AB. I think they'd have to be offered lots of money and less screen time to stay another year, and that would really change the show (the screen time) as it is called Gilmore Girls. Worse case senerio, April and Gigi become substitute GG's, like the 70's Show with no Eric. Awfull! And with how blah this season is so far and all the bad reviews,and what really seems to me as lead actors (LG and AB) totally losing their zing and sparkle, why would the network offer them a pile of money? Best hope, they pull a miracle out of thier hats ( and I said hats) and at least end it satisfactorily and with some great shows.

I don't understand. You think Lorelai and Luke should hook right back up the episode after she realizes her marriage has failed? You don't think that makes her look awful and Luke look pathetic?

I think she's saying it would be pathetic if they aren't back together the episode after Lorelai's marriage implodes. Frankly, I'm backing away slowly.

How in the world could LL be back together by ep. 14? It makes no sense to me. She has to end her marriage first. And then LL have a lot of crap to work through before they can even think about getting back together.

But if there isn't a huge time jump from 7.13, I think in 7.14 Lorelai is still married.

If they end the show this year, I hope they consider doing a two hour finale. They probably won't because it might cost too much but it could be an episode that covers a bit of time - maybe a few weeks and we get to see things wrapped up in a more satisfying way than we would with just one hour.

Some episodes have spanned a week or so - so it wouldn't be impossible.

Monal, what are you saying here? Do you really feel L/L should jump all over each other right away?

Caf, what might be a consolation price to you, may turn out to be the grand price for me when it comes to L/L ... or well, I do still see that possibilty. And I am not neccesarily talking about marriage really, but two people who IMO were not so capable before, finally being capable of making it really work this time around ... Maybe I just need to go to bed hopefull ... Later all!

Maybe L&L can get back together by say ep 7.19 (150) but no way in hell would it be 14.

Ep 19 (if we go by the possible air dates) will be 2 months after the break up so IMO enough time in TV land for them to get back together, I mean C&L hooked up to about the same time after partings. While L&L have more issues than a news stand to work out I think the fact they were together will help quicken the process.

It will be a slow process to bring them back together. They will probably pussyfoot around each other for several episodes before anything at all happens. I think it will start with her going back to the diner for coffee and polite conversation.

I think that if this is the last season (and it looks like it is by all accounts) that they will do a trilogy with L/L starting slowly with 719 and not getting them back to where they were (pre-April) like until the end of 721. I think 722 although it will have elements of a committed L/L in it it will be devoted to the girls.

That sounds about right. But it's a sad thought for JJs, I think. Only 4ish LL episodes.
