Funny thing is I am not surprised that the genius' at the CW think they can get away with such madness......
I highly doubt that. LG has said that if AB didn't want to go on then she wouldn't either. She knows that AB is important to the show.

I would imagine the show. I'm thinking he was talking about them having another season.

And that is 3,000. I thought the nice men in white coats would have come by now. lol.

Of course she is.....GG can only go on with both LG and AB on board.

"...surprising news about the possible future of Gilmore Girls..."

I'd say it's about the show, but since the girls are basically the show, it can be about them ....

Congrats, lilmelodie!

I'm guessing that's still going to be up in the air until April at the least.

That said, when the OC got cancelled I think I heard that the CW was going to pick it up. Lemmie say, Ostroff doesn't seem to have the best strategies. I don't think it's a good thing to pick up other show's scraps.

Apparently though, the OC producer is making a new show for the CW based on the Gossip Girl novels.

I'm guessing she'll reveal the breakup that is to come. Or that Richard has a health crisis.

Bets, anyone?

Don't be so sure, most people in Hollywood don't know how to spell loyalty. LG's potential production deals (tied into Gilmore Girls) have gotta be a pretty big incentive for her to continue...where is the incentive for AB??

There are already whispers that she is tired, frustrated and ready to move on and I don't blame her.

But the clip said it was about the possible future of Gilmore Girls so I don't think it has anything to do about Richard's health crisis or the breakup. I don't think she would give away any clues so far ahead of sweeps week.

In the past I wasn't very thrilled wtih the spoilers but finally something to look forward to. Nothing about E/R, but well, Lorelai wanting to end things with Chris, almost made up for it.

As for Rory, a crush can happen even though you're in love with someone else, it's just a crush, nothing more. And I think this will help her to understand Marty's crush on her, while Marty is still in love with Lucy.

At first I thought it would be better if Lorelai/Chris ended it mutually or if Chris was the one who would walk away. But Lorelai ending it without taking Luke into consideration is even better. Hopefully Lorelai finally knows what she wants and who she doesn't want. For Chris it will be hard, he thought he finally got it all, but Lorelai/Chris just continued were they left of with 16 and it seems that at least Lorelai is facing reallity again. I hope this won't affect Rory in a bad way, that she still has some contact with her dad. But at the moment I'm just happy, and nope not feeling guilty, why should I?!

At last, a point to the sl! I don't expect the characters to be perfect, or never make mistakes, because learning and overcoming those mistakes are what make the show interesting. I just want it to make sense. I won't judge until the ep airs, but I want sl's to not be merely soap opera material. So far, I still have hope that Lorelai's motivations have some sort of realistic basis. I haven't seen it yet played out on screen, but I'm still hopeful.

Even though I like L/L more than R/L, I've always liked Rory more than Lorelai. If they treat Rory like they have Lorelai's character this year, I will be very disappointed.

IMO, they gave Rory part of season five and half of season six to have her major breakdown and craziness (and lobotomy/loss of memory/loss of self). So I am thinking, no, hoping, that they no longer put Rory through a 'journey' of self discovery . She already had it. And I didn't enjoy watching it for that matter. This season, she's involved in the scenes that I dont cringe while watching, I don't ahve to fast forward through them. Moreso, AB has made me laugh with Rory, and cry with Rory, and feel for Rory when emotions run high, and sigh romantically for Rory during beautiful Logan/Rory scenes. Please don't take that away from me, DR.

Rory's had a voice this year, not necessarily a decent story, but a voice. And a head on her shoulders. I applaud what he has done thus far, and even forgive him for bringing Marty back.

I guess I'm extra sensitive to these type of sl's after "Partings". If the writers could do that to Lorelai, I'm getting nervous about Rory. However, I'm guessing now that the whole L/L/C sl has played out, they've realized it's a bad idea.

Amen to your whole post, especially the bolded part. I loved the episode that RM wrote, with R/L and the text messaging, and the Rory/Lane scenes. I would love to see more of that.
