Interesting. I have only seen the trailer for Bruce Almighty and it had only a brief clip of LG. I have no problem with actors/actresses trying to portray sadness, but in LG's case, it became more cartoonish over time. Otherwise, I think she does a nice job in her scenes that don't involve sad!face.

Er, I mean Evan Almighty, not Bruce Almighty.

Since there are still 3 episodes to go before Lorelai realizes what a huge mistake it is, we can't say she never tried. I think in 7.11 and 7.12 we'll see that she takes Emily's words to heart and does try. YMMV, and probably will.

TheJSW -- you said the spoiler sources are only LL fans. Some RL fans posting here have given out spoilers before, so why aren't they giving them out now? Maybe because there aren't any to give?

Her sadface is the same for when someone is hurt or when she doesn't get coffee, I think. So it should be different.

I think her sad face is just the way her face is shaped. When she's not smiling, she's frowning. There's not really an in-between. At least, that's what me and my sister have concluded!

Sara, I fear that what you think is her learning. Will not even come close to satisfying me. Damselfly, that's not what I stated. That aside, I will state this emphatically about Rory and Logan spoilers not being available...A BULL...A ****. There are spoilers, but no one cares about Rory and Logan. I dont know why I care. Oh, I know, because they are awesome. However, no one has either asked, and no one has wanted to share. That's the reasoning I am going with. Someone, please, prove me wrong.

Well since she married him without loving him, she can back out without loving him. Just because he put a ring on her finger doesn't mean she loves him all of a sudden. Like Emily said: A ring is no guarantee. She never loved Chris enough to make that experiment work.

I agree. I had a problem with Lorelai entering the marriage in the first place, since I always thought she didn't really love Chris and wasn't over Luke. But I think getting out of the marriage is the first smart thing she's done.

I do think the contrived breakup between L/L and the head-scratching marriage to Chris has harmed Lorelai's character though. Unless the writers can give us an explanation that makes sense. I've read your posts on that other place on why she did so, Saranoh, but I'd like to see it addressed on the show.

Rory will have an intense crush on her TA, of the romantic kind. Not just an academic one.

But it's just a crush.

I do not feel like this is some awful thing that she's doing. She's getting herself out of a mess that she will realized she caused. It's not like she won't have to realize that she's to blame and beat herself up about this. IMO, she'll have to. And Sara just said that the end of CL is not about her loving Luke. So obviously it's not like she's leaving one for the other. I don't see what's so awful about her ending this if she really realizes everything that she's allowed herself to screw up and forget. I hope she does hurt over this too, we have no word that she doesn't. But she started all this, she needs to be the one to end this. It sucks for Chris, but this is Lorelai realizes things, and hopefully he'll follow suit. But i've always said that Lorelai needs to be the one that ends this.

ITA Jason. I don't want to see Lorelai and Luke to be together soon. Like you said Lorelai needs to be alone, she needs to get hurt otherwise she won't learn anything. You can tell a child to not touch the hot plate but it won't stop trying it until it get's burned. Lorelai learned nothing from her break up with Luke. Now that Chris is messing up she suddenly has her epiphany regarding Luke. Whenever Lorelai screwed up another man appeared on the horizont, mostly Luke. How easy is that!

What happens if Luke will act like a jerk again somewhere in the future. Does Lorelai get's another epiphany regarding another man.....maybe Max?
